Lovely man came out 4 years ago ( at my request after we had a burglary) to sell me this product. He assured me it was a one year contract, the fees would NEVER go up like mobile phones do yearly and that nothing less than 40kg would set off the alarm! Especially NOT a 4kg cat! What a bunch of lies!!!! Every time we set the house alarm, within 35 minutes we would be contacted to say that the alarms on our property were going off. By the time we returned home there was nothing! Our neighbours hadn't heard anything and there were no problems. Then the cat walking down the stairs started setting the alarm off. An engineer came out and moved the sensors twice. We couldn't then use the device as it wasn't fit for purpose! After the first year I tried to cancel the contract, only at that point was I told it was a three year contract, evidently they don't do less than that! I wrote to the complaints department and emailed them, both were returned to me as details given wrongly! Deaths in the family meant I put this problem on the back burner so now I feel ready to sort things out I have been told that under section 10.1 of a contract I never received and which I consider to have finished 1 year ago, I now have been informed I need to cancel the contract with 3 months notice or face debt collectors if I don't pay it! What a load of rubbish. Avoid this company at all costs! In my opinion they mis-sell their products, are frugal with the truth and rely on ignorance and fear to sell an inferior product!

Dear all, I'm a business owner and have had problems with our ADT alarm since it was first installed 2018, the initial problem was an AC COMMS FAIL which aledgedly means power failure, after months of calls and engineer call outs and umpteen false alarms during out of hours, i eventually asked customer services if the power failure ie AC COMMS FAIL alarm monitoring for that could it be disarmed (and they said yes to my surprise) that stopped the false alarm being triggered may i add that i was charged hundreds of pounds for engineers callouts who blamed power cuts for the issue and also blamed the back up batteries for being flat ( all of which were untrue). I've had this alarm for around 3 years now and it is not fit for purpose so between useless customer services, usless management and i mean in that they don't reply, return emails the only thing they are punctual with is their lies and their billing, so please if you value your sanity then please avoid ADT at all costs. I'm about to change to a local alarm company who can take over the monitoring of the alarm, maybe for your sanity get another company fo take over the monitoring of it.

I have had a adt alarm installed it’s been my second one I am finding that I can not afford the monitoring fee so I cancelled it. I have had too ring adt today and they that they don’t have NO record of me cancelling it and they said for me too cancel I have too pay them £700 which I don’t have. Told them I am on minimum wage but they don’t care they just want your money !. I have cancelled the service a month a go also some one was meant too ring 2 weeks still not heard from any one I will have to go through trading standards I think just too get this resolved.

Really poor customer service. We have been holding back our annual fee since June 2021 because they haven’t turned up to do our 6 monthly service since May 2019. They have been rude on the phone and in writing and are now blaming us, even though the lady in the technical department had apologised for their huge backlog during my first call!

Waited in all morning for booked service. No one came! Rang ADT & was told it had been cancelled & they were too busy to inform me, Why is it ok for them to waste my time? Discourteous. Customer obviously has no value to them. Think it’s time to find a new company who care.

I've been with ADT for 7 years and the first time we needed an engineer to repair a fault they kept me waiting at home for 2 days. I called over 7 times throughout those 2 days and was assured each time that an engineer would be coming out to rectify the fault. The staff in the call centre simply didn't care that I had spent 2 full days waiting for the engineer. I'm appalled at the level of service they provide to loyal customers.

Wouldn’t recommend this company at all. All they’re after is money. Had an alarm system with them for 5+ years and the amount of hidden charges I’ve incurred is shocking. Even after leaving them my alarm won’t stop going off at all hours through the night and they want £200+ for someone to come out and turn it off. Avoid and go elsewhere.

AVOID. Could not organise a P**s up in a brewery. Bad sales team, will miss lead, lie and miss sell. Engineers are unskilled and slap dash. Alarm systems offered are poor DIY grade at best. Better and cheaper options are available at DIY stores. AVOID ADT

DO NOT USE ADT!!!! I have been waiting since January for a refund, and despite numerous calls and emails the money hasn't arrived. AVOID!!!!!

Shocking service following a break in. Failed to help with reports following the break in, wouldn't assist the police or our insurance company despite three months of chasing. I attempted to follow their complaints procedure which they couldn’t even follow or respond to until I told them to cancel the contract without charge. Then told me that although they’d failed at every stage, they wouldn’t cancel the contract and I’d have to take them to court if I wanted to leave them and not pay a cancellation fee because they haven’t signed up to an alternative dispute resolution scheme, I assume due to the fact so many customers would use it and their business practises would be highlighted. Avoid them at all costs

Absolutely disgusting company. Sales rep Adam came and gave us a quote which we accepted straight away. Placed a deposit. Tried to get hold of Adam several times tel no 07860 031208 but he doesn't answer. Eventually got a date for installation, which after coordinating days off work + other trades (decorators) to follow afterwords ADT have cancelled the appointment. So I was left with no choice than to cancel the agreement......But still not got my deposit back.... Set of cheats and liars......

Been messed about by these guys for 10 days now . Agreed to a cctv camera paid a deposit. Still haven't got an installation date . Everytime we ring told they can't deal with it . Spoke to so many people. Repeatedly blown off and led down the garden path . Repeatedly promised call backs . Doesn't happen . Once they have your money there onto the next sale it seems. No after care . We have paid money and have nothing. Be extremely careful.

Check your contracts this company forge your signatures on a legal document they call it adapting it its fraud now trading standards are looking into there working practices

Nothing but regret !!! Got a Wireless Home Alarm installed a month ago. Incompetent engineer who was just rushing to install and move onto next job..no training or testing given. External motion sensors are a joke and constantly trip with any bird motion (they said only objects over 1.2meters would trigger it). ADT Door Ringer constantly alerts over 50 times a day every time a car drives past the house...making it pointless. Engineer didn’t even wear a COVID mask..called customer services..still waiting for a manager to call me back to discuss cancellation.

I have had to wait TWO MONTHS for my annual service to be carried out...because of coronavirus! Two months later and TWENTY MINUTES before the service engineer is due to arrive I get a phone call to say ADT will have to rearrange, the service engineer has had to isolate. I’m not saying he doesn’t have to isolate but this is NOT the first time ADT have cancelled a service at the LAST MINUTE. So now almost another month is going to pass before an engineer will turn up for a service...possibly. And another story...one annual service engineer couldn’t find our property so he went to a near neighbours and being elderly and a little confused she let him in to service the alarm even though the service wasn’t due. Afterwards she went out only to receive a phone call to advise the fire service were on their way to her property as they had received an alarm alert. The engineer had “serviced” her alarm and messed up. Meantime I waited in all afternoon for the service engineer to arrive. When he didn’t I called ADT who informed me he had serviced the alarm system. ADT had to carry out an enquiry into what had happened and they obviously didn’t tell me about the neighbour’s issue. Shocking company, worse service I have ever received and I have never posted a negative review for any other company before.

Absolutely brilliant service. Luke and Hassan were very proffesional, polite and courteous. Both cleared up and no mess left at all. They took the time to explain thoroughly about how the system worked and made me feel confident in setting the alarm It was a pleasure to have them fit the alarm. Thank you both very much.

Why can't I give less than 1*... Where do I begin? Over priced and does not work. We were called everyday during the night, multiple times, to say our alarm was going off. We were in the house asleep with no signs of the alarm going off. Noone, until the day I cancelled the contract, tried to help. Despite multiple calls and emails. Once I was finally able to cancel our contract, ADT had the cheek to continue to charge our direct debit. Thankfully I anticipated this and watched out for it. ADTs customer service is nothing short of atrocious. They will have no customers soon with the market being flooded with other alarm systems. STAY CLEAR

Customers need to beware of hidden charges . I recently discovered ADT were using a premium rate phone line, costing me £40 per year to test my system on daily basis .They had been doing this since 2008 . When I raised the issue they did stop the practice . But have refused to refund the monies I have paid since 2008 .Pretty sharp, so be very careful when doing business with them .
