I tried ordering a contract through Affordable Mobiles, I had a few automated emails asking me to change one or two details on my existing phone contact to match the new details I had given them. I did this promptly and responded to them. I received no response from their team after having done this, even contacting the customer service team directly who didn't even reply after their first response. 2 days pass and I receive another automated email saying that my order has been cancelled. I would be wary of any company who are incompetent enough to lose a (£1000+) sale that carelessly

I am absolutely appalled at the service I have recieved, I would sincerely urge anyone considering getting a contract from Affordable Mobiles to think twice. I bought an o2 contract with a iphone 13, returned it within the cooling off period. I received written confirmation from affordable mobiles that the handset was received and that they'd cancelled the contract. Less than a month later £880.00 were taken out of my account by o2, I went into overdraft, my bills/rent got delayed. Since then I have been asking affordablemobiles.co.uk on extensive phonecalls to confirm the cancellation to o2 and they keep telling me that they dont have the authority to do so thst I need to speak to o2, so they basically had the authority to sell me a contract, to receieve the sim and the handset when returned, but they wont communicate this to o2, for o2 to stop persuing me for an amount of £880.00, plus early cancellation fees, and if that amount isn't settled within the next 5days, o2 will refer me the debt collectors and my credit rating will be affected. The lack of understanding and apathy Ive had with affordable mobiles has affected my health adversely as suddenly Im in debt because I trusted them enough to return the handset and sim to them, since I bought it from them in the first place, suddenly, they dont have authority to communicate receipt to o2 despite having given me written confirmation of receipt of handset and sim within the cooling off period!! I am appalled! Do not trust this dodgy company, I will get advice on persuing this further.

This company do not deserve 1* I returned the phone to be repaired and was told 28 days to be repaired. Sent the phone the be repaired on the 31/12/21 they sent me a email on the 14/01/22 to say they had just received it back and that it would go off to be repaired. Heard nothing at the end of January so contacted them for a update and all they could say that there was a fault so this has been sent off to be repaired and advised we should have the phone back middle of February. 17/02/22 & still no communication off them so I've just contacted them and spoke to someone called Shauna who was rude and talking over me all the time. To be told it arrived back on the 14/01/22 but was not sent off to be looked at until the 25/01/22 & then it gets sent off somewhere else to be fixed. I asked to speak to a supervisor but told there wasn't one available (but yet she kept me on hold for 5 minutes to speak to one) and told I will get a call back 24-48 hrs afterwards. This company do not state that 28 days is NOT from the date they receive it back, its actually 28 days from the date it goes off to be repaired. The phone got sent off 50 days ago in total, I get there was the xmas period but should not take this long and most definitely not 50 days. AFFORDABLE MOBILES STOP TELLING CUSTOMERS 28 DAYS WHEN YOU ARE MISINFORMING CUSTOMERS & GIVING FALSE INFORMATION THAT YOU CANNOT COMMIT TOO!!! I SHALL AWAIT MY CALL WHICH PROBABLY WON'T EVEN HAPPEN 😡.....

I can't put into words how awful my experience has been with this company, from one issue to another they have totally messed me around when my phone was meant to be next day, it didn't arrive yet they sent me a contract starting on that day, told me I could have it sent to a dpd pick up point then said that was sent in error, i took a day off work then it didn't arrive on that day, and it isn't just DPD's fault because when I logged in DPD later that day I see a note from affordable mobiles 'parcel now set to send to a new address' ?! WHAT NEW ADDRESS?! Now have to wait for the parcel to go all the way back to them and back to me, I'm without a phone and I also ordered a charger and then they have the gall to email me an offer with the same phone 2 weeks later now at a lower price with no handset fee. I'm paying for my broken phone too which I can't even use cos the contract isn't up until I put the pac code in the new phone :( The most they are offering me is £10 good will gesture for the delay and I pushed for £20 but I really think they should take off the £49.99 cost of the handset at the very least especially if they're sending me emails promoting it like this, just so annoying and tbh mentally distressing. Use with caution, if you get your parcel I'm sure it's fine but if you have any issues they treat you like garbage. If I get the £49.99 reasonable amount of a refund back I will amend this review as it will show they actually listen. I lost a day's pay taking the day off for it only to not arrive and that's totally due to their incompetence as they'd said previously the day before SPECIFICALLY "IT WILL GO TO A DPD PICK UP POINT" but it didn't and that's their failing. Sort it out

Very disappointing customer service experience and unreliable phones. I ordered a refurbished iPhone X in May 21 from Affordable Mobiles having seen on the website that a 12 month warranty is offered on the handsets. Since I’ve had it, I’ve had several issues with the phone switching itself off and not turning back on, front camera not working, phone not charging and finally in early Dec phone not taking any charge and eventually battery completely died and phone unusable. I called customer services in early Dec, was advised that repairs now take up to 28 days as it’s Christmas time. There is no mention of a 28 day turn around time on their website but had no choice but to send it to them, hope that the phone could be repaired or a replacement sent as I haven’t got a spare phone to put my Sim in to. After 25 days of the repairers receiving my phone, I called and was advised that there was no update and that this would be escalated to senior team and I would be updated within 48 hrs. No update came so following this up, was told that a replacement handset would be sent out if no update could be given on day. I called on day 28, still no update on phone repair, I asked for a replacement phone to be sent out and was advised they didn’t have any phones in stock but that senior team are looking into this and would be in contact. It is now day 38 since I posted my phone off, and 33 days that the repairers have had my phone. No sign of any updates, no confirmation of a replacement phone being sent off and every time I check what is happening I am told that this is being looked into and they will respond in another 48 hours. I have asked to speak to the senior team several times but this has been refused. I will now be seeking advise from trading standards and would advise others to read all the 1 star reviews on other review websites before considering to use this company.

absolutely shocking service, Had a phone that needed a warranty repair, Was told it can take unto 28 (but shouldn't take that long) Heard nothing, chased the company multiple times before and when one the 28 days and nothing. Takes 30 minutes to get through to speak to someone and refuse to allow me to speak to any management. Than tried to convince me its a minimum of 28 (Which is completely different to the emails and previous conversations with staff)

Before reading my review, please look at the pictures to see why I am writing this negative review. I bought a phone from Affordable mobiles. When I received it, a message appeared on the screen stating the display is not genuine. Additionally, the battery capacity was only at 89% and the phone made a loud rattling noise. I requested a replacement. I had to wait a week for this to arrive as they refused to send a replacement before they received the old one. I had to borrow my daughter’s phone during this time as I could not afford to buy a temporary one. This was stressful. I received the second phone, and it was the exact same phone I had returned. Nothing had been fixed and no explanation was given. Very confused and upset, I phoned the company. After an hour on hold, I was told their technicians found no fault with the phone, so it was sent back to me. As you can see from the pictures, there was a clear and obvious fault. The screen was a cheap fake LCD instead of the genuine apple OLED. Things become even more upsetting. In total, I had to pay £36.03 in postage for the two times I had to send the phone back. I was reassured the company would refund me. Firstly, when I emailed for the postage refund, I was asked to send more pictures of the receipts. I think they hoped I would have thrown them away after taking the initial pictures. Then, I received an email stating they wouldn’t refund any postage because there was no fault with the phone. (Again, please look at the pictures, there was a clear and obvious fault!). I am shocked, appalled and utterly disappointed by the way I have been treated. I am a minimum wage worker and recent widow. The postage they refused to refund took me 4 hours to work for. The upfront cost of £360 took me 40 hours to work for. Please do not hand your hard-earned money over to this heartless company. Thank you.

They don’t even deserve a one star, received a faulty phone , tried calling the number but never got through , sent emails and never got a reply until I slandered them on Instagram and they gave me a different number to call but because it was by then past the 28 days return time they refused to help . I have since had to buy a new phone but sadly tied to a contract with them . Worst company ever

CON ARTISTS! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! There should really be an option for no stars here. I returned my original S20 fe (awful phone) to this company on 7.9.21 within the 14 day cooling off period for a replacement Z Flip 3 which I was told couldn’t be delivered until 14.9.21 because of a transfer/handover paperwork period. I had an email on 13.9.21 to say the phone wasn’t in stock and to “keep an eye” on my emails for when it was. 17.9.21 still no phone and no further contact from them, but they’re still advertising the phone before honouring their commitment to those of us who have actually already ordered and paid for it - and at £41 less upfront cost than I had paid a mere 10 days earlier........clearly because they don’t actually have the stock but are trying to entice new customers. At this point I am less than amused so emailed them stating if they can’t guarantee delivery of my handset by that weekend and reimburse me in a some way, that I would cancel my contract before the end of the working day. They didn’t bother responding, and so I emailed again before the end of their working day cancelling my contract. On 20.9.21 they emailed back stating that despite returning the original phone within the 14 day cooling off period, because I chose to have another phone from them, I am now unable to cancel my contract but, that they were expecting stock that very same day and as soon as it was received into their warehouse it would be shipped the next day. Well he we are now at 28.9.21. No phone. No further contact from them. No answer when you try to phone them. So as of 7.9.21 this company have had £199 of my money for the upfront cost of the handset, and I’m now being charged £55pm by EE for a phone I don’t even have. Clearly they have no intention of providing me with a phone, so I now have to go through the hassle of getting my money back, and cancelling my EE contract. The ONLY reason I chose this company to buy my phone from is because of the Trust Pilot reviews, but all you have to do is google complaints about this company to realise that all the positive reviews are fake - much like Amazon’s. I won’t be making that mistake again. What I will be doing though is leaving this review anywhere and everywhere to warn as many people as I can about this company!

Absolutely shocking company , I returned my brand new unused handset after changing my mind and cancelled within the 14 day period. Have now received a call saying it was scratched and i can either have it back and continue contract or pay 30% of the cost of handset, its blatant blackmail, the handset was never used, in pristine condition and was returned in the exact state in the original packaging that was received .. I was sent a picture of a damaged phone that looked nothing like mine. its interesting to see that others have received similar pictures of damaged screens. I would not recommend buying from this company at all

Refused to send my phone to me on the basis that I live in a school and they cannot send to a business address. Totally refused to accept that my residential address is the same as the school address. Told me that my home is not a residential address. Completely scripted response and no willingness whatsoever to investigate further, pass on the issue or find a solution. Claimed it was not possible to speak to a manager.

Honestly the worse service I have had from any company..my phone developed a fault after 4 days..sent it back and after 5 weeks I am still waiting for it to be confirmed that it is even fit for return..this is after a whole litany of errors and mistakes by them..and complaints do not help..they totally ignore them..nice staff tho..feel sorry for them. I would suggest you do not use this company. Yesterday I got a reply on this site which said that the senior team were dealing with this shortly but yet another day without them having the courtesy to bother

I returned my new phone to this company over 5 weeks ago and they have not even fixed it or confirmed they have. During this time I have made complaints which have been continually ignored . They are without doubt the poorest company I have ever dealt with. Nice staff but I do pity them. Please avoid this company at all costs.

This company are calling existing customers offering early upgrades on contracts, this is a LIE! They are then opening up a new contract and customers are having 2 contracts to pay AVIOD THIS COMPANY THEY ARE TRADING ILLEGALLY!!!

I bought my phone with them 2 years ago. During purchase it was no information how do I claim for cashback. They just sent to me 6 code vouchers. After my last bill arrived I sent an email to get my cashback with all my 24 bills. They replied they cannot proceed my cashback. Horrible company. You must avoid it at all costs.
