“I had 6 windows replaced. Really happy with the design and effectiveness of the windows. However we had issues with a couple of the units. This was down to the assembly and final finishing of the glazing. Once the engineers had gone, we noticed sticker and sucker marks appearing when bathroom windows steamed up or on a cold high moisture morning. We called the engineers back who cleaned the marks from the bathroom windows. But the window in my daughters bedroom continually had these issues. We had engineers return many times to either clean this window or replace the unit. Even when the unit was replaced, sticker marks were unreachable because they were on the inside of the glazing units. After the 3rd time of this same issue, Anglian decided to wash their hands of it and now I am left with a window that isn’t at the standard you expect.
The majority of the time these marks are not visible and windows look great, but occasionally they appear on mornings and it’s frustrating to see after spending so much money on them. Anglian needs to be more careful when assembling these units in the factories and engineers need to clean them thoroughly before they leave them with the customers.
I advise any customers to steam iron the mist onto the windows before the engineers leave, so you aren’t left with sticker and sucker marks all over the glazing. These marks can’t be cleaned with average window cleaner fluid and the engineers can use their special fluid for this and if marks are on the inside, they can order to replace the unit without any further delays!”

3 weeks with a door that won't lock and several mistakes made.
Our door stopped locking on a Thursday, I called straight away, the earliest they could come out was the following Tuesday, fine. The engineer measured the door and left saying they will call within the next 2 weeks. I called again straight away, they booked me in for the following Thursday to fix, 2 weeks with an insecure house is not ideal, but fine.
Engineer came with the wrong part🤦♀️ and left, door still not fixed. I called again straight away, they rebooked me for the following Monday.. engineer came with the wrong part AGAIN. I called again straight away and they said they'll send someone out on Thursday. Three weeks with a door that won't lock and Anglian wouldn't cover the cost of a locksmith to get it locking until then.
On top of that everytime I have to call it takes at least 20mins to get through, when I did get through the last time, and spoke to managers Lee and Carl, they were dismissive, rude, and had the cheek to question why I had got uptight by the last conversation. I think after three weeks and two messups I was perfectly within my right to be cross!”
“Read their Terms & Conditions and The Consumer Rights Act before you have anything to do with this appalling unprofessional Company. We WON our case in The Small Claims Court in June 2023 and were awarded return of our deposit, costs and interest on deposit. We paid 25% deposit in April 2021 and Anglian failed completely in undertaking any of our orders. We were left with no alternative but to sue, which was extremely stressful and hugely time consuming especially as we are both in our late 70s. That’s why I said earlier check your rights and pursue them, they do not deserve your business. We had one of our orders completed by a local tradesman, who has done a perfect job, and saved hundreds of pounds. I reiterate beware of this unprofessional appalling company.”
“Anglican windows fitted my new windows yesterday and they look great so much easier to open and close the guys that fitted the windows were to class explained everything they were very polite funny and very professional an incident occurred and the guys sorted it out guickly great work keep it up guys 10/10 from me”
“Customer service is beyond awful. As just one example arising today, it has taken three years to replace a simple window that failed under warranty. Promises that an engineer will come out are repeatedly broken, leading to wasted days staying in and cancelling other engagements. Today we phoned three times - at 10, 12 and 2 - to check that the engineer was coming as promised. Only at 2pm, after we had stayed in all day, did the receptionist admit that he had cancelled. This is typical of our experience since the installation. The time taken to correct problems under warranty is measured in years and not months, and only then when many hours are invested in chasing broken promises.”
“Pressure selling tactic with my dad who is 80 with Alzheimer's. Quote a price of £7500 if we sign up for the windows there and then of £9200 of not. Said we would like to think about it and please email the quote. The quote is for £7500, so much for the mysterious disappearing discount. Area manager calls me the next day and acts very surprised this is what we have been offered and is there anything he can do to make it right. He is lucky I was so polite.”

‘In my opinion the works to install uPVC doors and windows fall below the minimum standard of workmanship detailed by the Glass and Glazing Federation and compliance with Building Regulations via FENSA; these entail a minimum technical competence scheme for which installers can be registered by a card scheme. Anglian Home Improvements appear to have not complied with these minimum standards and as a result have not provided windows and doors that are fit for purpose.’
I have been left with leaking, draughty and mismeasured units for 3 years. They lie through their back teeth, forge documentation that has already been submitted to Court and forged my signature on an alleged electronic document.
Just waiting for our final substantive hearing. They tried February 27th 2023 to get an injunction to stop me from posting on social media and review sites but they had their case dismissed.

“Now that the weather is warmer, neighbours are out in their gardens with their kids and pets, enjoying the sunshine. My secondary glazing was installed in late February 2023, but it's only now that I have had an opportunity to test how well the secondary glazing dampens excess outside noise. Unfortunately, the product does not do what Anglian promised. I can clearly hear every word of normal conversations that my neighbours are having. The product is rubbish and based on all of the other poor reviews about products from Anglian, is anyone interested in joining a class action law suit against this company? That may be the only way to hold them to account.”
“I have used Anglian extensively for many years with no complaints from me and have recommended them to friends. However after they fitted guttering at my property, while the fitter (self employed) did a good job, Anglian used a subcontractor to erect the scaffolding. I complained to the Anglian supervisor about the behaviour and poor attitude of one of the scaffolders and asked him to keep and eye on them for me (as I was recovering from a strike) and asked him not to say anything to the scaffolders about my complaint but he went to the head of the scaffolding company and this person immediately came to find my and I was intimidated by him. I reported this intimidation to the Anglian supervisor and said he should not have caused this anamosity but it was too late. I will never use Anglian again.”

Contact me directly and I’ll provide a rundown of over 4 years, 8+ engineers, dozens of emails, dozens of calls… yet our £3,000 door/frames still not replaced when Anglian have confirmed themselves in writing it’s a manufacturing fault and would be replaced!
They treat customers with utter contempt!!
Small Claims / County Court action is only way to hold them accountable - Name the Directors as the Responsible Company liaison and that will go on their personal record and against future directorships!

“I had a room window installed by Anglian 2 years back. As my house is on a busy main road, I paid extra to have triple glazing windows so that I get minimum noise. The installation was done fine but there was no noise reduction compared to the 15 year old window they replaced.
Since the installation was done 2 years back, I contacted Anglian many times and they sent 2 engineers to check the window and both engineers mentioned that there is a lot of noise coming from the windows despite being triple glazed. Posted a review 1 week back and got a reply from Anglian that a local team member will contact me in 2 days. Never got a call or anything, I am sure they will not contact as they have not done so in the past 2 years. I will surely get a call in 15 minutes if I want to place a new order but never to fix an issue which is pending for the last 2 years.
After waiting for months, got an email from Anglian that another engineer will visit my house to check. It was mentioned in the email that the previous engineer who visited twice was a trainee :) what a shame. This time they will send an experienced engineer. Really? Anglian are sending trainees to resolve customer issues and make them suffer for years, excellent.
Every time I post a review, I get a message from Anglian that they have requested the local team to reach out and give me a call. Why this lie as no one ever called me since I posted my first review on 25th Jan? or your local team is not bothered to resolve issues and only wants to sell faulty products.
BTW: There is a huge fan following for Anglian and a group with around 4000 members on Facebook called "Anglian Home Improvements Dissatisfied Customers". People same like me are disappointed and filing court cases for the faulty products they have received and have been waiting for months/years without any resolution.
I would advise anyone who is planning to buy anything from Anglian should visit the above page and read actual customer reviews before buying.”
“ANDRE IS A THIEF. DO NOT TRUST HIM. He tricks you into putting down a deposit, saying it’s fully refundable, then the communication stops. We decided to cancel and were told we’d get a refund - nothing has come through and this was over a month ago. 3 phone calls, 3 emails, 2 complaints - nothing, not even an acknowledgment. Your complaints procedure says you’ll respond in 5 days - yet another lie. ANGLIAN, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED. This is now a legal matter.”
“Had our windows done everyone was very professional they look amazing our windows do but what i don't like about Anglian is the fact they charge way to much and bombard you with calls every day about payment when everything was agreed when signing contract stop bombarding with calls aswell asking do we want more windows done it's getting beyond”
“In January 2023 I had a quote via Teams for a new conservatory roof. It felt like a Uni lecture about the company history that was never going to end and the salesman wanted to renew the whole conservatory instead of just the roof even though it was perfectly fine. The quote magically reduced in price if I was willing to sign up to various ways of advertising the company. I explained numerous times I was getting quotes from various companies and would contact them if I wanted to go ahead. I felt they tried to scare me into signing up straight away by saying the price was only valid there and then. The next day I had 2 calls and a text from the salesperson. I responded by saying I was still getting quotes (they were already aware of this). I then had a call from a different number. This person explained he was the boss. I hung up. This was followed by the original salesman calling again and denying any of the previous calls. Over the last week I’ve had almost a dozen calls from 07764 929595. The first call tried to give the sales spiel but I explained I had nothing to discuss with them. After a further couple of attempts I blocked the number. It is clear they are using unfair tactics to coldcall people as the number has continued to call even after being blocked. When I attempt to text the number nothing goes through so I doubt the number is actually a mobile. Yesterday I had another call, this time a woman trying to explain she was from Anglian. She would not answer when I asked how they were managing to call me on a number I had blocked. I’ve not had this issue with any of the other local or National companies I’ve had quotes from.
DO NOT GET A QUOTE FROM ANGLIAN - YOU WILL GET MONTHS OF NUISANCE CALLS!!”
