I had windows and doors replaced in a 4 bedroom house which I have as an investment property that I rent out. They were unable to distinguish between having an correspondence address and an installation address and sent crucial paperwork to the installation address meaning I didn't receive it. Occasionally they did write to me at my home address but couldn't do this consistently.
They didn't turn up when they said they would. The fitter was rude and intimidating, he made me sign to say I was happy with the entire installation after them fitting just one window.
I was advised the installation would take 2 days, however the fitters didn't complete it within the 2 days and didn't communicate to me or the tenants that they hadn't finished and would be back the following day. As I don't lilve there I assumed they would phone me or talk to the tenants about any such matters. They turned up the following day (day 3) but no one was there to let them in as we weren't expecting them which meant I was suddenly left with trying to get time off work to drive for an hour to the property to let them in which was very stressful.
I was then informed by the area manager that the installation had finished and he chased for payment, thankfully I didn't pay until I went to the property myself to inspect it, they hadn't fitted a letter box, had fitted the right locks and hadn't fitted the patio doors but instead left them in the back garden. At no point were either myself of the tenants advised what was happening.
I have wasted hours and hours trying to chase around, make/receive calls and emails to get this sorted. At no point did I get to speak to anyone who seemed to take my complaint seriously or care that I was trying to resolve the issues and get the work finished. I was repeatedly given false information.
Due to not having a letterbox for more than 10 days Royal Mail stopped delivering the post, as per their policy, meaning the tenants were forced to go to the sorting office each day in the centre of the city with no parking to collect their post which naturally they were very unhappy about.
Now over 2 years later I haven't ever received any form of certificate/warranty and don't have any paperwork detailing what is covered and how to report an issue. Despite chasing this multiple times I've never received it which they say is my fault and they insist they cannot resend it until I pay £22.
The lack of communication and lack of customer service was and still remains appalling, PLEASE PLEASE save yourself a lot of wasted time, money and frustration and use someone else!”

5 months in and and now having to take out court action to get a refund on my two patio doors that are faulty and damaged.One fitted damaged,other warped frame ,faulty lock and plastic worn back to bare metal .3 fitters tried to correct as original guy admitted “couldn’t get door to fit properly,best he could do”.leaving us with a door I couldn’t lock so I had to sit up all night in an insecure property.2 manager visits,both agree faulty,then weeks go by ,then an e mail from yet another manager offering yet another attempt at a repair .Fenca won’t help,GGF won’t help as I now want a refund on these faulty windows which the Law states I am entitled to.Have to give them One attempt at a repair,they have had 3 and now much worse .Anglian also saying I denied them entry to my property and have not responded to their e mails. Totally untrue.Have maid dozens of phone calls,Someone will ring me back ,no they don’t.Sent many many e mails,also recorded delivery letters to which THEY do not reply .Have written to watchdog as Anglian are Not Above The Law.Now have the stressful prospect of taking them to court to get my money back for the shocking goods they have fitted in my home by an incompetent fitter .

We spent the extra money and had Anglian fit our windows in 2015, thought we'd get better quality products and after sales, customer service brilliant for first couple of years.
Since then various window locks have failed and been replaced, still within 10 year guarantee period.
Recently another window lock has failed, have now been told that our existing window locks are obselete and have received a completely different replacement.
We will end up with completely different sizes, colours and types of window locks all round the house as they all fail!.
Suggested they replace all the locks for continuity as they're obviously faulty and it would be nice gesture, have been told "only at our expense and don't contact them again about it"!!!. Unbelievable.”

“This company is a joke they fitted the my front door and after 4 months I cannot close the door they sent staff to change the lock but they discovered the door is bulky and needs to be replaced with a brand new door. I've sent over 6 emails to different managers and nobody has responded to me and during the 4 months. I have called every week and nobody can give me an answer. I Spent £4000 on this product, I don't want you to order from them and be disappointed, cheated and scammed and come in contact with the same problem, they gave me 20 years guarantee and that's a lie, my door is only 8 months old and i already have such a big problem with it. Must be very bad quality to have such a big problem only after 8 months.”

I'm concerned that you cannot trust the positive reviews on Trustpilot for Anglian Home Improvement because they offer a discount that is conditional on leaving a review, among other things. The trustpilot box you have to tick clearly states "...have not been offered any incentive or payment to leave a review for this company...". So many of the reviews here are probably invalidated because Anglian provide an incentive, in this case a discount, if you leave a review.
You could of course still leave a negative review if that was warranted, but most people will likely give a positive review because they'll be worried about any consequences of a negative one.
After the salesperson (in the guise of an 'engineer') visited our house, we wrote to them with a couple of questions, and were genuinely interested in going ahead with the purchase we'd agreed upon. However, there's been no reply, not even a holding email, which fits with the many negative reviews about this company on various websites (customer care is apparently very poor).
The salesperson told us that their products will last at least 25 years but for some reason they can only give a 10 year guarantee. Clearly something amiss with that.”

“I definitely do not recommend Anglian for double glazing. Problems all the way through after numerous calls to try and speak to someone the manager finally came round to have a look at work completed. We explained and showed him shoddy works one example is in picture shown he stated its not that bad !!! There are other faults as well with the windows and trims. He agreed to get workmen to come and rectify problems in 2 weeks and guess what after more phone call now a couple of months later still no sign of anyone.
As you are aware Anglian are not the cheapest for double glazing so we expected a decent job for £9,000. Will never use the company again.”
“Do not order!!! We ordered our windows /doors in March 2021. Told they would take up to 12/14 weeks . However never heard anything thing so contacted them. Told Covid in factory so shut for 2 weeks now looking at August 2021. Now asked for a date to put holiday in and was told end of sept21. Yesterday they told us the earliest is Oct 21. Phoned a sales person and asked if I purchased some windows what’s the waiting time for installation! 6-10 weeks! What a joke! We are cash buyers and now think because we are not using finance we are being pushed back . However they took our deposit but unfortunately we cannot get it back as you have 10/14 days cooling off. What a joke as at the 10/14 days period we were expecting are windows within 12/14 weeks! We had no communication of them updating us , we had to do all the phoning. So who knows we could still be waiting another 12 months or more as were in catch 22. Even though Covid has effected two weeks at the factory it still shouldn’t be this long. To think new customers are now being told 6-10 weeks how does that work!! It is false information but once you have paid your deposit you can’t get out! Surly something has to be done. I’m very very disappointed and don’t like writing things like this but don’t want people to fall into this trap”
“Throughly shocking experience. Sales team cold called and offered 30% discount on all services and a negotiate price was agreed. I was then pressured into paying a £1000 deposit to guarantee the "special offer" or i would miss out. The paper work was not correctly filled out.
Surveyor was rude, and then told me the work was going to cost more, despite all measurements being given pre- hand for the drawings.
Over the next 3 weeks I got several calls from the finance team who basically said "the team upstairs are not happy and have valued the work at £6,500 more thsn the negotiated price". I then asked typically how much work would usually cost and they gave the same figure. Effectively lying about the inital 30% discount.
I sourced my own independent pricing from 3 reputable contractors for the work required and the price was 15% cheaper on all 3 quotes.
It took Anglian 6months to repay my £1000 deposit. When I complained about my experience I was told it was a sales team issue as they get paid per booking and will "tell you what you want to hear".
I would strong advice not using Anglian”
“I cannot tell you how much I would NOT recommend this company. I've had 5 service calls for a front door that was fitted in 2018. Here's my experience: Calls 1, 2, 3, and 4 were because the door continually dropped on its hinges. It has a 'thumb turn' on the inside and a key turn to open on the outside. When the door drops, the thumb turn won't work and the door won't open from the inside or outside. My 82-year-old mum and kids simply couldn't exit the building from the front - so a serious fire hazard.
Each time I complained an engineer came after a few weeks (yes, a few weeks) to re-adjust it. Then in December last year, 2 of the four glass panels blew. Again, I called Anglian. This time an engineer came after 2 months and not another peep. I've recently contacted them again in July to find out when (if) they were every planning to come back and requested a replacement door of better quality. They quoted section 18 of their T&Cs at me, told me they'd done what they needed to do and said if I didn't want the glass panels fixing they weren't prepared to do anything else. THEN they closed the case, without even speaking to me, even though I'd asked for a telephone call and provided my number!
Please, please, please DO NOT use Anglian. I can see others have had similar experiences.
We had our windows fitted last year by Safestyle and they've been absolutely amazing. They've had to do a few adjustments and one replacement - no questions asked, and super quick COVID-19 friendly service.”

“Orderd door for front and back in March, was told at the time installation would be mid July. Heard nothing from them so called in June was told now November for install. After trying cancel they immediately threw in the clause 9b 7 day cancellation had expired. However this was based on a mid July install. Fast forward to today and received an email saying install would be December 21st. More than 10 months for two door. Ridiculous service and complete and utter fabrication by sales team who will do anything to get the sale. Do your self a favour and look else where.”
“Ordered three window panes in January, now July and been told won't be delivered until September. Promised numerous phone calls back but to date have not been called once. Ignore emails sent to them. Every time we call we're told the same thing, that they'll look into it and get back to us. Tried cancelling the order in June as it's taken so long but told we couldn't as panes had been made but still not going to be delivered until September. Even offered to go pick up the panes and was told we're not able to. Having to go through our bank or possibly small claims court to try and get our money back.”
