Appalling service and dishonest - Experience is listed below Workman caused a leak and the company when fitting a dishwasher - the fitting was not done correctly - having agreed to pay for a plumber to attach the fitting properly and to repair the damage then reneged on the promise, All recorded on their phones. I would advise caution when using this company. Update - as per my earlier experience I was promised reimbursement and then again assured someone would be in touch from the customer services - no sign of any communication. This reinforces my view that this is less than honest. They have provided lip service as I have left a poor review but not kept their word - again. Disappointed as I bought from them based on positive reviews. I will keep this post updated while I wait for an actual response. 3/07/2024 - Still waiting!! 18/10/2024 - still waiting - I would caution anyone from using this company as you can see from my experience they put a reply up to show that they were dealing with the complaint and then radio silence. I will continue to update this review for as long as it takes until there is some accountability. Date of experience: 18 January 2024

I bought a second wine fridge , unfortunately the service was nothing like my first experience the week before , I paid £9.99 for delivery when my first delivery was £3.99. The second delivery was with dpd they dumped the box in the hall near the front door leaving me to move it and remove the packaging when the previous weeks delivery was amazing the driver put the parcel in the room of my choice removed all the packaging and took it away what a different service I received, very disappointing.

I ordered a TV for a meeting Monday morning, paid Saturday delivery. No delivery, no updates, a 15 pound refund useless to me when I needed the TV this morning. No details on APC Overnight tracking, couldn't call or speak to anyone, promised a call by 11am. Amusing it's 11am, no phone call - no tracking details, no idea when the order will show up or if its going to show up.

The most disreputable company I've dealt with in years. Ordered a new Gas Hob from them and it arrived damaged. They are doing everything to avoid replacing with a new undamaged replacement Only offered a worthless voucher for their own products. Why would I wish to order from them again? Don't touch them.

The absolute worst ‘company’ I have ever dealt with. Paid for next day delivery, took day off work (unpaid), get a text ‘sorry we missed you’ MISSED ME? Didn’t even attempt to deliver, rang to ask them to tell the Delvery driver to turn around and deliver my fridge freezer ‘sorry can’t get in touch with him. We’ll book you in for next day, REFUSED to give me my next day delivery fee back, as they hadn’t completed it, after 40 minutes on the phone agreed to £18 of it !!!!!!! Ignoring the fact I lost money taking the day off work; and now I have to lose more money to take the day off work through their incompetence. Then ring me back hours later trying to book me in for not the next day; but TWO days later, because again their incompetence of doing their job ! SHOCKED! Went to curry’s instead !!!!! Do your self a favour and not waste your time or money on this company ! 2 separate phone calls amounting to an hour, of sheer incompetency of their jobs

The delivery man turned up and left immediately. He alleged that he had been waiting 15 minutes (which was completely untrue!). In reality he either couldn't be bothered to do the job, or was running late. I complained but have not had a satisfactory response

Staff came to my home to fit electric hob. Stall was very rude at my door. Left unclean area. If I ask something but not giving any answer. Also using rough languages. Appliances expensive 30% higher than any other retailer.

You need to reassess your courier provider. Ordered Sunday with delivery promised Wednesday, got a message late Wednesday from Logistics company saying they forgot to put on van ! Had to contact them, they've no idea when it will be delivered now, they hope to come back within 48 hrs with a new date.

I purchased a 50 inch electric fire place for £579.00. After purchase you then send me advertising emails stating item was £699.99 and now reduced to £499.99. When I phone to complain you start your story that you get these items from different suppliers and change prices. You won't honour the price and refund the difference.. won't be using you again.

Multiple calls to "describe the delivery" which was just an excuse to upsell their insurance. I was told it would be a two man delivery because the item was heavy but it was a one man courier (DPD) with a very poor attitude. I was told I would receive a one hour slot on the morning of the delivery by text and a call from the driver 30 minutes before delivery. No communication received at all. Box was stored incorrectly on the vehicle (orientation arrows were clearly a mystery) and the box was badly damaged. I was told I had to help him because the box was heavy. Luckily I was able to help but having been told it was a two man delivery my wife could have been there. The box was dumped in the middle of the drive when the driver couldn't carry it any further even though I was helping. Not really "delivered". The delivery was on the correct day but since I didn't get a time slot I can't say whether it was on-time or not.

I'd like to know why the item is now advertised at being £700 pounds and is now reduced to £549.97 and I paid £609.92 including delivery. I think you need to refund me some money.

DO NOT BUY FROM APPLIANCES DIRECT. Absolutely HORRENDOUS post-sales customer service. They are making every effort to NOT resolve anything. 16 Feb: Took advice from sales advisor and placed order using the links they provided. 16 Feb: Received order confirmation and confirmation of next-day delivery, 17 Feb, twice. Had not paid for next-day delivery, so this was a surprise. 17 Feb: Advised delivery was not actually confirmed for 17 Feb, but by the 21st. 19 Feb: Order received. Refurbished dehumidifier was NOT as described. It was missing a part and filthy. It was heavily used, and I do not believe it had been inspected or tested at all before being sold on. Optional filter was NOT correct. 19 Feb: Notified Appliances Direct of issues by phone- only able to take information and not authorised to take any action. Notified of issues through online system, including upload of pictures, and by email. 20 Feb: Three messages confirming replacement part and replacement filter to be delivered 21 Feb. 20 Feb: After confirming replacement part to be delivered 21 Feb, they do not, in fact have it, and cannot provide it. Filter still to be delivered 21 Feb. 21 Feb: Call from case manager. They will replace entire dehumidifier unit: collect current 23 Feb, deliver NEW 26 Feb. Filter still expected 21 Feb. 21 Feb: Filter is NOT delivered. 22 Feb: Filter has not been dispatched. Now asking for a screenshot proving sales advisor told me to buy the wrong filter. Otherwise I will have to pay for the return and exchange. 23 Feb: Received three emails: 1) 9:21 AM Advising sales team will be in contact to arrange new filter. 2) 9:20 AM Order confirmation for SAME WRONG FILTER. 3) 9:40 AM Order update indicating new order for the SAME WRONG FILTER is out of stock and delayed. 23 Feb: Waiting for faulty unit to be collected. Still do not have an order confirmation for the new unit. Daily interaction with far too many members of the team by email, SMS, and phone. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON AND NO ONE SEEMS TO HAVE ANY AUTHORITY OR ABILITY TO ACTUALLY SORT THINGS OUT. I FEEL LIKE MY TIME IS BEING WASTED DELIBERATELY SO THAT I WILL GIVE UP AND RETURN EVERYTHING AND PAY THE RETURN FEES FOR DOING SO SO THAT THEY CAN STILL MAKE MONEY OFF EVEN A FAILED ORDER. I will not pay them for the inconvenience.

Wrong description of the item on the website, functionality completley miss-represented, didnt have a replacement that would provide the functionality advertised at all, and wouldnt offer a refund - only a voucher! Avoid - they are a nightmare!

Absolutely Appalling Customer Service I received a product that was faulty and needed new parts. After chasing Appliances Direct for almost 3 months and getting nowhere I had to speak with the manufacture directly and organise myself. Which I managed to do in two calls. One to the manufacture and one of the manufacture calling me. No compensation was offered from Appliances Direct for the time or money spent which on calls which was over £30, and I received nothing but apathy from the Appliances Direct support team, who for some reason could not pick up a phone to the supplier or follow up an email efficiently. Very very poor to say the least.

I'm having problems with my oven I have only had it for one week th facia and knobs get so 🔥 I have to use oven gloves to turn it off m gas fitter said that the fit so it isn't that when I rang your department for complaints the person who answered the said it was a design fault and they was nothing could be done as we are pensioners I find this very scary and wonder what else I can do thanks for letting me have a say as the operator was very off pub mmrss Sandra whittle Sandra
