Took nearly 8 weeks to receive a hand mixer with no response to e-mails and warning of a ten minute wait for phone but they would phone back but they did not. I had assumed that they were going out of business or were already out when the item arrived yesterday. Impossible to understand

Amica Electric Hob - unit is getting unusually hot. Customer service is refusing to take any responsibility and keeps referring me to the manufacturer. Requesting a refund but customer service is now trying to ignore me.

Most important thing is reliability and delivery. Items due on 7 May 2021 and still waiting 10 May. No communication on delay, kept in the dark.

The service from Appliances Direct was very good, however the delivery method via Amazon was absolutely terrible. We are a sheltered housing organisation for the elderly and the delivery driver screamed at one of my residents as I put the address as the office, block 8-10, which is the correct address. The driver screamed at the resident that you cannot put address as 8-10 it has to be one address only, which it was the office!!. Appliances Direct maybe you should look at who you use for your deliveries.

The after sales service is very poor. My Russell Hobbs microwave which has a 2 year guarantee, has the wording on the control panel wearing off after only 3 months. I have been told that this is normal wear and tear - how can this be? If a computer keyboard had the same problem, I don’t think anyone would be likely to consider it to be anything other than a manufacturing fault. I will never buy anything from Appliances Direct again as they are very quick to give their reply rather than offer any practical help. I will be contacting Russell Hobbs directly and the Trading Standards to try to resolve this.

Delivery for $150. Maybe 3 day delivery. Extra charge to take away old washer due to UK sub contractor. Titusville store. Slob made appearance 30 min after I'm walking around. Unmasked food all over shirt and rude to boot.

Sent broken dishwasher as a refurbished item twice. They had the gall to try to get me to defraud the manufacturer by having me demand manufacturer warranty repair. Cut off all contact with me and refused rma after second faulty unit. Had to perform a chargeback through amazon pay. Customer service was ignorant and rude, ignored distance selling act and just brass necked it, cancelled my second rma saying I had made no attempt to contact them. If your reading this because your got scammed by them I suggest contacting your card issuer and requesting a chargeback. They will not fight it, and will have to pick up the item free of charge. It is not your responsibility to pay for their 'mistakes'.

Damaged products delivered, faulty products delivered. Products delivered late. Unhelpful staff with no knowledge of the UK sale of goods act 1979 on the phone. Most of goods had to be returned, expect a lengthy wait for a refund. Avoid like the plague

I have order a juicer, it was stated as A1 rank. Which means that ONLY the box should have been changed, and the item it self should be NEW. Yet the juicer parts has multiple scratches, one was broken. It was obviously a used item.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS - WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN. I purchased an air source heat pump from Electriq (appliances direct) last year. I was of course drawn to them as their prices were significantly cheaper than other alternative, well-known brands. I bought one of their units as a cost saving exercise - what a mistake. Firstly - their salespeople on the phone sold me this as a DIY unit, telling me that I could install this myself like many of their customers. Not only was this completely untrue. If I had attempted to install myself (not F gas certified) I would have nullified the warranty (which by the way does not exist with this company). After paying an additional (and unknown cost) of an F gas qualified engineer to install of £400 the unit worked for a year. At just over year old the unit malfunctioned and broke. A probe failure caused ice to build up on the inside of the unit and sheared off a propeller blade. Secondly - I called Electriq about this problem - a clear malfunction with the unit. Bare in mind my unit has a 2 year warranty. They informed me that they could not send out an engineer and they would not pay for an engineer. Thirdly - I begrudgingly called out an engineer at my own expense. He informed me that I need them to send me a new probe and a new impeller. I called Electriq and they informed me that they no longer make the parts for this model and that I needed to PURCHASE A NEW MODEL! Fourthly - I reminded them that this was still under warranty. They said I must send in my installation certificate from the FGas certified engineer to validate the warranty - I promptly did this. They then dragged their heels for a week - claiming that they were looking into the matter. They then tried everything to worm their way out of validating the warranty, including; asking me to get the installing engineer to call them, they called the engineers company, they requested Refcom confirmation, their certificate number - all of which I provided. They then after one week of doing this informed me that my WARRANTY WAS INVALID BUT COULD NOT EXPLAIN TO ME WHY!?!? As you can imagine I was incensed by all of this. As a 'gesture of good will' they then offered me another outdoor unit at a reduced rate of £350. As much as I did not want to purchase from them, it was my cheapest and most convenient option to get back up and running again which I desperately needed! I then called back and told them I would like to purchase this outdoor unit. This was 8 days ago. They informed me that because it was a case it would have to be looked into. I did not receive a call back EVERYDAY FOR EIGHT DAYS after being promised one every day. On the eighth day (just now) I received an email. The summary of the email is this; "after reviewing your case we cannot offer you a replacement outdoor unit at a reduced rate. We would recommend you buy an entire new unit from us" - by the way this unit they have recommended is not at any reduced rate and it is significantly more expensive. In summary; Yes, Electriq had the cheapest product I could find. But there is a reason for that.... - Their sales team are happy to outright lie to get sales. - Their products are faulty. - They will not validate warranties. - Their customer service is appalling. When I initially asked some local engineers about Electriq and their products I was warned - sadly the lure of a cheap product and saving some money got the better of me. It has ended up costing me thousands of pounds in extra costs and the stress in trying to rectify this has been terrible. Yes, I will be taking matters further. I deal with small and large companies day in, day out in my job. I can honestly say Electriq (appliances direct) are the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

DO NOT USE THEM WHATEVER YOU DO! We ordered 2x complete air conditioning systems, wall mounting brackets, extra pipe and their installation service and paid over £3,500 for the privalege. It was a pain just to order and I had to enquire 3 times and call and speak with two different people spanning more than a week before the order was finally placed due to their incompetence - this should have been a warning sign. Our order was finally placed 1 month and 3 days ago and at the time we were told the systems would be shipped to us and should arrive within the next week, and that installation of both systems would be within 2 weeks of the order date. Since then, we've had to complete 3 technical surveys - all the same every time as they keep seemingly loosing the answers and taking around 20 to 30 minutes each time! We've been given 6 delivery dates and 4 of these I've taken time off work to be around for the delivery only for the date to come and go and nothing arrives and no one contacts to rearrange or apologise - I've given up booking time off now! Every time you try calling them, you're on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes then find relevant people you NEED to speak with aren't around. A callback gets promised. I've lost track of how many callbacks have been promised and don't happen. That said, I've had 2 calls from their area code (01484) which I answer right away (1-2 rings max), then as soon as I say hi, you hear them and they hang up the phone!! Are they trying to prove internally on call logs they're ringing?! What's the point, nothing moves forward and you just anger your customers. Finally got a complaint in that's being dealt with by their "Head of Customer Service" (HeadOfCS a. t. buyitdirect.co.uk). Felt like things were going somewhere until you realise it's an endless inbox checked by loads of people who seemingly also don't care about resolution. Tried calling our complaint handler several times (Atif Iqbal) and he's never on shift. His team message him internally via Microsoft Teams and he responds to them to promise a callback and I've had the same promised by him on email too, and again... It never happens. To summarise; it's on you if you shop with them after reading this, you've been warned, they will mess you about from start to finish and I'd be amazed if you get your system, let along the installation. Also, they're a complete ripoff when it comes to installation costs.

Do not trust their statements for a moment. I bought a hood rated (by them) ad A-Grade (minor unnoticeable marks on the side). What I got was a piece of contorted metal. The hood was not usable at all, the sides were bent out of shape and the filters were bent as well to the point that the item cannot be utilised. The delivery was in a cardboard box with not protection whatsoever. All of this for over £140. They asked for feedback and I told them exactly the above. I got two email asking for picture and I sent them. Then I got an email stating the case was closed. Not even an apology! Do not use this company if you care about what you buy, your money or some decent service
