“Avoid. Paid for a tyre/booking online got there said it was the wrong size?! Now have to wait 5-days for a refund. Could of got a tyre for the same price elsewhere and not of wasted my time going to the garage to be told I’d paid for a tyre they couldn’t fit?!”
“4 appointments were either cancelled by Asda tyres on the day (including by email), or just didn't show up at all leaving me to chase them. On the 5th appointment, they did show up but late.
The quality fo the fitter's work was good, but it was a lot of wasted time and chasing. They offered to refund the mobile fee within 48 hours but 5 days later and it's still not been paid.
Wouldn't recommend”
“Asda is the cheapest But Bad fitting companies.....
Asda is the cheapest price match on the online tyre market but all tyre fitting places I have been to do not prefer to have online orders from Asda as I have bought lot of tyres from Asda on numerous occasions, Asda fitters are not reliable with time given to the customers online while buying the tyres. Asda needs to look into it and have mentioned to customer services this issue but not much is done in terms of fitting tyres.”
“Amazing went got tyres fitted realised they were the wrong size phoned them and they immedietly booked us to have them changed the next day amazing service thank you asda tyres”
“Ordered and paid for tyres online. Four days later l went to the fitting centre ,No Booking and No tyres!
Came home called them and was told that the supplier had not delivered the tyres.
Rearranged to be fitted another day , then received a call from Asda cancelling later same day.
Absolutely shocking service, Avoid using Asda Tyres !
Now waiting for a refund......”
“Do not use.
Asked for run flat tyres. Paid for run flats. But they installed normal tyres. Also didn’t do wheel alignment which I paid for.
Two front tyres incorrect. Only found out after when I took my car to kwik fit and was told they were the wrong tyres and not what I had paid for.
Iv had a baby on board all this time and was put at risk.
Shocked with this poor level of service.”
“Book online to have my tyres fitted on my day off, got to the designated place to find that no appointment was booked and that I had to make another appointment. Waste of time poor service.”
“Ordered tyre on line (with defined fitting location and time) with same day fitting to allow for an MOT retest the next day. Travelled to fitting station to be told no tyre and that I had to contact Asda for any help. Contacted Asda and was old they would respond which they did 2 hours later when I had returned home, they explained the supplier had been late delivering. Asked for a refund and explained my frustration, was told this would be arranged in 48 hours. Chased a week later and finally after 2 more complaints received confirmation the refund would happen within 14 days!! Asda did not meet their contractual commitments and having taken the payment with 2 hours of the order being placed I am told it takes up to 23 days to refund the money. Totally unacceptable and unethical behaviour. Steer well clear of a service with Asda's name on it that is provided by a third party.”
“I ordered 2 tyres from Asda which I have used in the past and was fine however on this occasion I was contacted by the garage that was fitting the tyres to say they couldn’t be fitted there as the tyres where to big. I got straight in touch with Asda as they hadn’t notified me and the order was cancelled by Asda and I was told the £425 would go straight back in my bank this was on 13:10:2020 however on 22:10:2020 I still have not received my refund, I have 2 tyres booked on 23:10:2020 before going for an mot so now ime getting worried as I desperately need my money for the tyres. Will not be using Asda tyres ever again”
“After searching online I was surprised to find Asda offer a tyre service,
I ordered the tyres online on Sunday 4th October and because I am venerable I selected the fitting at home service
This was all confirmed by e-mail and I got the tyres I wanted and the fitting appointment for Wednesday 7th October.
On the day the installer arrived and he inform me he had brought the wrong tyres, I told him I had confirmed the tyre sizes online.
He advised me to phone Asda tyres and inform them of the problem and he would do the same and get the correct tyres I ordered and return as soon as he could.
Then on the 8thOctober I received an e-mail informing me that the tyres had chosen were no longer available and they has chosen another tyre for me.
I told them I did not want their selection and chose another one from Asda tyres online, I recontacted Asda with the new selection and was told I would not be able to have the tyres fitted at home and would need to travel to Bridgewater approx 20 miles away. I was beginning to get frustrated by this time and was not happy with the fact I would need to leave home to get the tyres installed, however I agreed to the fitting date of Tuesday 13th October.
On Monday 12th of October I received an email from Asda Tyres informing to check as to whether the shop would be open for my appointment, which I thought was strange as there was already an appointment made for me.
Yesterday 13th October I drove to the tyre company ( Bridgewater Tyres and Exhausts 130 Bristol Road TA64BP) approx 20 miles each way
I arrived and was asked to drive the car onto the ramp, I asked the owner how long would it take to exchange 4 tyres and was informed about an hour, I asked him if he wanted my mobile number but he declined.
Upon my return an hour later I discovered that the tyres had not been changed when I ask the owner why I was informed the new tyres never arrived.
I asked why when I phone initially that morning why he never informed me the tyres had not been delivered and even when I arrived at the company at the appointment time he allowed me to exit the shop without checking.
My patience was as you can imagine wearing very thin, so upon my return home another 20 miles I contact Asda Tyres with my complaint.
I explained in detail the whole charade of events I had experienced over the last several days and was offered a “Sorry” I will get back to you with a solution
I was contacted back again by the same person who informed me she had selected another make of tyres and I would need to book into another fitting company to get the tyres fitted. I was flabbergasted. I said this was unacceptable.
I requested to speak to a supervisor, later yesterday a lady called Megan phoned me I again reiterated the whole fiasco in detail and she was very sorry for the trouble caused. I informed her that sorry sometimes is not good enough!
Incidentally, I was told by her I should have received an email from Asda tyres on Friday the 9th October informing the tyres were unavailable, this obviously never happened'
I was totally disgusted by this admission, by which time I was fuming at the incompetence of the whole company as they just don't seem to care or have a clue.
I decided to cancel the whole order and asked her for some compensation.
I am 72 years old and only having a state pension to support me and Asda failed to repay me for their mistakes
1/ Possibly endangering myself visiting a tyre company
2/Wasting a day and buying coffee and a sandwich while waiting
3 40 Miles of petrol.
She blatantly rejected all of my requests and informed me there was nothing she could do after all of the inconvenience Asda has put me through over the last week, I was shocked I have been a loyal customers for over 15 years and if thats the way Asda wants to be portrayed so be it and if that is the case they can do without my future custom
To date my chosen tyres are still available online.
Incidentally, after all of this farce yesterday, I contacted a local tyre company in Taunton enquiring about my chosen tyres, they informed me they could have them this morning, I have within the last hour been informed by said company that the tyres in and are ready for fitting, I have arranged an appointment for 2pm today. At the same price. Now thats what I call a proper service.
It is abundantly clear that Asda tyres are in a complete shambles as it seems that nobody knows what is going on and I suggest maybe they should all enter an extensive Customer care retraining program from supervisor downwards
Asda should be disgusted and ashamed with itself for the handling of this total disaster without showing any amount of integrity.”
“Shocking customer service, bought 8 tyres and each one of the alloys damaged by the useless fitters. Promised £50 vouchers for each set of tyres and now refusing to honour them. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ASDA TYRES.”
“AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. Do not use these cowboys. Had to wait a week for the tyres and when i got them the back street garage they sent me to couldn't even fit them! They booked me in to another one of there trusted garages and they couldn't fit them either! I will definitely pay a little more and go to Kwik fit or ATS.
Do not waste your time or money!!!!”
“Don't use ASDA tyre! The newly fitted tyre by ASDA didn't working properly. Its pressure dropped sharply compared to my other tyres over a month. Contacted ASDA, but they said there is a 30 day guarantee window, and now need to charge more money to fit the problem they created. Bad Service.”

“Shocking customer service blaming it on fitting non run flat tyres , also halfords fort austin ave Plymouth broke my brake pad censor while fitting the tyres and didn't balance them. Stick to food asda ya s×÷t c@^ts”
“Not any cheaper than others, I went to get tyres fitted to find out they had not been delivered to fitting centre and when I called they said supplier problem but did not bother to advise prior to fitting, been waiting all day for a new fitting appointment to no avail so called for a refund to be told it will take 5to7 days, will not buy anything from Asda again”
“I selected the same size tyres which I already had and chose the GT Radial. Read the reviews to check compatibility and to make sure it fitted correctly on my Audi. The tyres arrived and got them fitted the following day which I was happy with. The garage fitted the tyres and said they don’t fit that well exposing the alloy by 10mm and beyond the tyre wall. As I couldn’t leave it at their premises I drove it 0.3 miles to my house and emailed them. After 3 further follow up emails and they eventually replied 3 days later! They sent a fitter to my home to check the fit and it’s was fitted correctly and said, his never seen an alloy exposed that much and if I hit a curb that will damage or crack my alloy. I got a second option by another garage they use and said I wouldn’t be happy with that and collaborated the same as the other fitter.
Asda said as it’s been driven and it’s only cosmetic not pleasing and they wouldn’t do anything. Although I’ve not used the car and still got the new marks on the tread. Had to borrow a car to get to work and they didn’t even apologise for taken 8 days to decide. I won’t take my children in the car due to the possibility of a blow out and they said it’s fine.
I’ve used Asda in the past and wouldn’t again. As long as they have your money they don’t care. Now I have to pay out for new tyres again!
Very poor customer service and disregard for customer satisfaction.”
“Tpms damaged. Asda tyres, Halfords, Tyres on the drive are the same company. Do not buy from these.
(Tyre fitter lied and thought this wouldn't catch up with him. Tyres on the drive will try anything to deny fault and rectify the issue. I will never use these cowboys ever again). About 4 different people have dealt with my complaint since Saturday to no avail. Here's my experience.
A tyre fitter came out on Saturday to change a tyre due to a puncture. In conversation it turns out he has only been in the job six weeks after a few days training. He said he got the job through his father knowing the director! He also commented that he had another 21 tyres to fit that day all over Lancashire and Yorkshire. I think he needs further training to learn how to take tyres off rims and not damage tpms sensors.
I went to reset the tpms sensor after he had left by driving the car. It failed to reset due to a failed tpms. The reset wouldn't go above 49% due to the broken sensor.
I contacted him on his mobile, he said give it a few days for the sensor to try and reset!! He claimed his manager told him to tell me this. As though it would reset and he knew that with lying. I've done it many times before and it only takes seconds or minutes to reset depending on the manufacturer.
After looking on the internet and reading up, people say it will be the tyre fitter who has damaged the tpms sensor which turns out to be true as you will read.
This morning after visiting a tpms supplier, they tested all the sensors and the front left passenger side sensor was showing failed. I bought a new one at £45. I went to a local tyre fitter charging me another £25 to remove the tyre, fit the new tpms and reinstall the tyre. Low and behold, my system reset itself and went above the previous 49% to 100% because all the tpms were communicating again.
When the tyre fitter this morning took off the tyre we encountered the tyre fitter on Saturday had damaged my tpms and had the cheek to cable tie it together inside the wheel to the valve knowing full well he had damaged it.
If the tyre fitter had told me at the time he had damaged it, I would have accepted that with an apology and he could have sourced and fitted a new tpms.
Tyres on the drive came out fitting the tyre I bought from Asda tyres, which I presume tyres on the drive are in contract with. (Turns out Halfords Tyres, Asda tyres, Tyres on the drive are the same company).
Not only did it cost £160 for the tyre, a further £45 for a new sensor and £25 for another tyre fitter to install it all and get us back on the road.
I've emailed photos, invoices for the tpms and now as other people have commented on other reviews, they no longer respond. No surprise there.
Never again to use these cowboys. Online tyre fitters and local tyre suppliers I've used before will continue to get my service instead. I am normally spending a thousand pound a year on tyres for a few vehicles. It will be no loss to them though my lack of custom.
Also their tyre prices and fitting are costly compared to others. Shop around and avoid these cowboys.
All this hassle due to my wife getting a puncture!! 😬”
“Day 1 Arrived at agreed fitting centre at agreed time after taking time off work to be told the tyres hadn’t arrived, no email or text from Asda, phoned customer service to be told sorry there’s a supply issue, offered a refund or another appointment, rearranged for the following day, again leaving work early arrived at fitting centre to be told they’re still not here! Back on the phone to Asda customer service told it’s a supply issue! No communication from Asda whatsoever, I could’ve still been sat there now waiting for my tyres, demanded my money back to be told it can take up to 5 working days to refund 🤬 I wouldn’t waste your hard earned trying save a few quid it ends up costing you double, I had to buy the tyres elsewhere and I’m still waiting for my refund........an absolute joke!!!!”
