Beer Hawk asked me to leave a review, so I am...I originally left this on trust pilot on May 19th. I ordered two vouchers as christmas presents, neither recipitent was able to use the vouchers, the codes wouldn't work. I contacted to discuss, and I was advised I would have to put the order through over the phone, and then it took until May to be resolved! I recieved marketing emails in the meantime but no resolution to my problem. Today, I spoke to Beth who went above and beyond to help me and resolved the entire issue in less than an hour! Although the gifts didn't work as intended, thank you Beth for at least making sure I didn't waste a lot of money! She is an absolute credit to a company who clearly don't deserve her customer service skills! I wouldn't use beer hawk again, it has been an awful, ridiculously complicated experience.

I'm really sorry there were so many problems with getting the gift codes working. I am pleased we managed to fix this, but like you am disappointed it took so long. Thank you for your kind words about Beth & I will make sure these get passed on to her. Cheers, Hannah

My order was delivered after 8 days and after we had to call them. And after all this delay, I had ordered a "happy birthday" gift and delivered was a "top dad" gift. Really really disappointed.

Placed an order to be told the next day they didn't have the stock and my order was cancelled. They then conveniently put the price up so if they come back in stock they won't honour the price I paid. Offered absolutely nothing as an apology not even free postage off next order. Asked for my details to be removed as I won't be using them again and didn't bother to reply.

New customer - Bought a case of alcohol free beers along with a full strength case. Alcohol free turns out to be low alcohol - not as advertised. This could have been so easily rectified if the company cared about its customers. However I am told, tough luck its 'what you ordered and we delivered it' Haven't these people heard of customer service? It's easy to get good reviews when things go well but it's when you get a problem (in this case a pretty small one) that you see a companies true colours. Avoid them, there are far better and friendlier beer companies out there.

Order #1. Ordered for friends coming round. Wrong mixed case sent, and glass broken within. Sorted out reasonably efficiently - they sent 2 cases of the right stuff 5 days apart, which would like to think was a great recovery, but was more likely a mistake. Arrived too late for my social event , so had to buy from high street instead anyway. Order #2. Specifically ordered for Easter weekend and made this clear at time of ordering a mixed case for BBQ and beer sampling. Received call the day before saying it wouldn't arrive until following Tuesday, which left it too late to order from anywhere else, so back to High Street. The caller said it was out of their hands and blamed Courier -WRONG! Beer Hawk , you are responsible for the end to end experience including fulfilment. Change your partner firms if they don't cut the mustard. I will not be ordering from Beer Hawk again, and have unsubscribed from mailshots. Very Poor in a competitive sector.

Thanks for your review - I am sorry you have had problems with both orders you placed from us. This is very unusual & I can understand your frustration with us. With your most recent order I understand what you are saying that it is our responsibility to ensure the deliveries, but when we rely on a courier collecting the packages & they don't we do our best to rearrange collection & get them dispatched as soon as possible. Thanks for your review Colette - I apologise the Pork Scratchings we included with the latest Beer Club caused so much offence. I can assure you this was not our intention in the slightest, we just thought it would be a nice accompaniment to go with the beer. Beer choice is excellent. Unfortunately, despite selecting that my order be placed in a safe place, the courier didn't do so, returning to depot - meaning 3 day delivery window was missed and beer delivered the wrong side of the weekend - when I flagged this with Beer Hawk they told me that this was deliberate as they have changed their delivery options without telling anyone. It doesn't say this anywhere on the website and tells me that I can still have delivery to a safe place. Got a half-hearted apology only when I pointed out that they hadn't even apologised and further attempted justification for why failing to deliver/delivering late was due to them ea ting to improve customer service.

Thanks for the review Robert - I am sorry you are not happy with your courier experience. We are in the process of changing our courier service, which does mean that the option of having it left in a secure location is not an option anymore. We are in the process of amending the delivery options on the web site & apologise that this option not being available caused you a problem. Wasn't sure if I'd be in when the beer arrived so ticked the 'leave with a neighbour ' box. Was therefore alarmed to receive a text to say the beer had been left in my porch. I haven't got a porch. The beer was left by my front door - more or less in the street. £50 worth of beer with 'beer' written all over the box left out for anyone to nick - this is London! I had to get my daughter to go home from work to take it in as I was in Norfolk. Not impressed! Beer was great though!

The beers arrived very promptly thank you, alas I ordered 8 glasses and the wrong ones arrived. They were for a gift , so I promptly phoned the office. Quite abrupt staff saying I was talking to wrong area, but I pointed out to them I was phoning number on website, not customers fault that if no one from customer services answers that it gets diverted to another area of the company. Eventually got through to appropriate person and informed them of error. They said they had packed my glasses and didn't know why I had been sent the wrong ones, agreed that I had and they said they could see my glasses still in the warehouse. Man said he would organise the correct ones to be sent out. That was three weeks ago. Still no glasses, over 20 attempts to ring ( no answer) eventually got through last week the gentleman who said they had gone from warehouse and that he would Contact courier and get back to me within the hour. Surprise surprise nothing heard back and that was last week. The 60th birthday party has been and gone now, and I haven't been able to give my gift of a variety of your beers and glasses. Your large box of ring glasses is still taking room up in my kitchen as I don't know what to do with them. Please , please can I have my glasses!!! Avoid this company I'm afraid as their customer service is pants. I wanted to support smaller businesses, but I'm now regretting that decision.

I understand one of my colleagues has been dealing with this & the order for the correct glasses you wanted has been made today as we have received a new stock of them. I apologise you feel you have not been able to get in touch with us over the phone, we have emailed you with an update, but received with no response. Hi, I placed the order on the 15th of February and the recipient only received one phone call about the delivery on Tuesday (28 February) in that whole timeframe, and didn't end up receiving the product. The note also says to leave at a neighbour if it can't be delivered, which hadn't been done. We've tried calling to U.K. Mail directly, but the line gives you no options to speak to an actual human. I think your products are great, but I would highly encourage you to consider changing your shipping company as this has been a very time-consuming ordeal and I will not be ordering from your site again until this issue is fixed.

What a joke!!! Can't believe I even got an email to write a review. Order didn't arrive. Had to telephone FIVE times to find out what was happening. In the end requested my money back. Will never ever use again

Wrong message placed with parcle. Including the details of the person who the message was intended for. Which must mean that my details are now with a stranger. No reply from email sent to Beer Hawk. very disapointed.

Keiran, Thanks for the review & feedback, I can see that sadly we were out of stock of 1 of the beers you ordered due to a system error which is now resolved, we did notify and issue a refund within 24 hours. We do not like to disappoint however on this occasion it went wrong and we apologise for that. We hope to see you back in the near future. Cheers Stu

The delivery instructions weren't followed. Then i was missing beers. I then contacted beer hawk and was told they didn't have the stock and I should have been emailed. Then I wasn't refunded the correct amount. Only thing I can't fault is the beer.

The beer is fine however arranged a collection of two empty kegs for 31st January and no one collected. Rang again 1st February and rebooked for same day again no one showed. Rang at 17.15 to be told no one can help and they couldn't see anything on screen. Message to be sent to customer services who I cannot speak to although they are open, according to website, until 18.00!!! Not good enough Beer Hawk I want to use you but my experience so far is very poor

My favourite Beers were cancelled without being informed, I asked to cancel the remaining beers but had already been delivered and was told to refuse delivery. They were delivered and I received a refund later with no explanation
