Sadly like others I have had problems with the advent calendar, mine is all bashed up inside and although the beer can be retrieved the concept of the advent calendar does not work. I will contact you via email too

Hi, we received advent calendar but have given the advent calendar to my husband tonight so that he could open the first door that says to open, and there is nothing there in the first hole, as the whole lot has collapsed inside. Advent calendar is useless now as we then opened no. 1 to find that everything is half a line out of sync, and nothing can be retrieved. Useless!! Please can you urgently send another one as this was a lot of money and was part of my husband's christmas present and now it is all spoilt.

Ordered some beers on the 18th december. not arrived by the 30th november. money taken from my paypal account. customer services are not contactable left message with order line nine times - got no call back. emailed twice - no response. spoke to someone on the orderline who said my beers had not even been dispatched yet! AWFUL SERVICE

I don't usually do reviews but this has annoyed me as these were presents that I needed to send on. Ordered on the 13th November 2 x advent calendars which stated a few days delivery. After the 20th it hadn't turned up so I started to TRY to chase, eventually got a reply apologised no for the lack of correspondence. They then promised me another delivery date, guess what it didn't turn up, more apologetic emails to me promising another delivery date and said if I want tracking details just to ask, I asked for the tracking details and again guess what, I didn't revive them or the goods. Today is the 30th tomorrow is the 1st December and I still don't have them. Will not be using again !!

Terrible service, I ordered 2 boxes of world lager and only 1 box turned up on the delivery day. Then a few days later the 2nd box arrived but only 9 out of the 15 bottles of lager were in the box which was poorly packaged and it was clear that the bottles had broken in transit. The courier had just repackaged the surviving bottles but there were pieces of broken glass in the box which was very hazardous upon opening. Then I called Beer Hawk numerous times to try to get the box delivered directly to my brother in law as this was now an extremely late birthday present, but this never happened. After a month of me chasing the order via calls and email I gave up and asked for a refund. They never called me back to tell me what was happening with my order, even though they took my phone number every time I called and they sometimes didn't reply to emails either. I would avoid at all costs as they are clearly incapable of providing a simple service. I will never use Beer Hawk again.

I don't normally do this, but am incredibly cross with the service from Beer Hawk. Ordered the advent beer selection in October, and initially all seemed well and I got notification that it would be delivered when I requested...no delivery. Turns out the the delivery confirmation states it has been delivered to a completely different postcode. EC instead of SE how is that even possible? Might be ok had Beerhawk been able to help me. Have waited considereable time on the phone for the girls to tell me she couldn't help and would get a call back. No call back. In the meantime I used the email address, outlined my issue, send a screenshot of the delivery confirmation, to get a question back stating it was delivered...I know that - I told you!! But not to the right place. And I outlined the issue clearly. So I am now back to square one, currently awaiting a further response, and have wasted an entire day. The right thing to do would have been to send out a replacement today, so that my boyfriend could have received it tomorrow for the 1st, but I feel like I am a million miles away from that point, and am incredibly disappointed. Currently been on hold for 13 minutes to Beer Hawk as I type. Not impressed.

I ordered two items, one for immediate dispatch and one for dispatch on Nov 30. The one for immediate dispatch did not arrive for weeks. After inquiry per phone, they said I would get an email clarifying the situation. Nothing happened. After another inquiry per email, I got the answer that both items would be dispatched on Nov 30. Then I got the item for Nov 30 on time (actually earlier), but the item for immediate dispatch is still missing. I called in. They said I would get an email. No email and no beer. Disappointing!

Ordered the advent calendar and didn't receive any confirmation, so I called up beer hawk today and they apologise check my order number and said it's on the way and it sure was, it has finally delivered and it look so good my hubby will be well pleased. Thank you beer hawk.

I ordered the craft beer advent calendar on Sunday 27 November and immediately received a confirmation email. The beers shipped on 29 November and arrived (all the way in Aberdeen :-)) on 30 November and I received regular emails on the status. My dad is delighted with them and I'm sure he'll enjoy them! Thank you Beer Hawk!

Having used Beerhawk multiple times for previous purchases and receiving excellent service the experience for the last two orders I have placed has been absolutely shocking. Firstly the fiasco waiting nearly two months to receive an advent calendar that good old UKmail left out on the street in full view is unacceptable. Never before has so much time had to be wasted making numerous telephone calls or sending emails only to get through to people who have no access to give you an update on where your order is. Come on Beerhawk keep on top of order status updates for your customers. As for UKmail you no longer receive a text message giving you an hour window delivery time so you can ensure someone is at home to sign for your beer. Beerhawk what has gone so wrong? you used to be a company that could be relied upon. As a customer when your spending between £70-90 on an order the service you are supplying is a disgrace and there are many other Craft beer retailers out there that will welcome the business from the customers that you are driving away.

Delivery time when ordering said 3 days - but when ordered, it changed to 5 days. That was not timely for our party. Luckily they were honest about it, and cancelled the order.

Really disappointed with my service, ordered 4 advent calenders on the 10 November and they have still not arrived!! tried contacting last week no answer on multiple occasions finally get through on Monday to be told the head office will call straight back but no one called, so I called again this morning and AGAIN was told they will call back and still nothing!! I am now currently trying to get through again as I write this and so far I have been on the phone for 10 minutes!! shocking service really not happy will not be using again!!

I ordered online two boxes of Wild Beer Co Craft Ales the Monday before my son's stag weekend. (au contraire - it was a civilised activity and socialising event with a beer tasting evening for the Saturday with laid on Curry and Sunday cooked breakfast in a youth hostel!). I realised that it might not come before we left on the Friday. I sent an email asking for compassion and expedition and the goods arrived on the Thursday. Top service!

Incredibly helpful staff, Patrick was awesome in helping me pick out a selection for a gift of IPA's. The receiver was delighted with the box he got!! My only issue was not with beer hawk but the courier UK MAIL who left the box outside the building on a busy street which anyone could have waked away with, and they confirmed via e-mail it has been left safe and sound in a (non-existent) shed!! Happily recommend Beer Hawk but perhaps look at a different courier company!

In my limited experience (two orders) Beer Hawk have been efficient and delivered exactly what they said they would. Much more importantly though they do have a selection and knowledge of beer that sets them aside from a simple vendor. The selections I have bought are interesting, picked from brewers i did not know existed and are tastes that I simply would not of chosen if i was simply buying beer off the shelf. I would recommend anyone who is moderately adventurous and likes to try different tastes to go for it an buy one of their interesting selections and see whether it changes their buying in the future. In my case it has and I now particularly like a strong slightly sweet brown ale with my cheese instead of port!
