A mixed experience,with staff,1at lady,excellent,surveyor not so pleasant did his job,delivery excellent,fitters ok but couple of areas not finished properly,.

We ordered a kitchen from Betta Living in April 2015 and the total cost of approx £25,000. This has been a life-long ambition and has taken over 30 years to fund to get our ‘dream’ kitchen. Despite starting the fitting back in June, four months on; it is still far from complete and we have faced problem after problem and are therefore demanding FULL refund as the service we have received from ‘Betta Living’ is beyond acceptable. The issues are as follows (but not limited to): 1. Splashback We ordered the same kitchen we saw in the showroom including all fixtures and fittings. The splashback was to be placed behind the stove meaning it will be ok for use when cooking (heat, steam, gas etc). The splashback only lasted a day before a massive crack appeared. We have since been told it is mirror and not toughened glass; yet it has been approved for such use. As soon as the gas hob was turned on, it has sinced burned and melted the glass. Betta Living are refusing to accept blame and replace with a suitable option or refund all together so we can install our on. 2. Poor Fittings Some of the units were fitted but within a few weeks they have fallen/slipped off the wall due to poor fitting (broken or loose hinges) 3. Extractor Fan This has simply been ‘popped’ into place and no screws have been fitted in the holes to secure it to the ceiling/wall. This is a health hazard as it will fall of at the slightest tap. 4. Missing Pieces We have had numerous pieces of our order miss-placed and despite re-ordering, no one is available to come and fit them. Twice now, we were told deliveries would arrive in the morning meaning we have taken time off work and on both instances the deliveries arrived late at night (one after 9pm and the second after 6pm) – it is time we cannot get back from work. 5. Plinths Half the plinths are missing and the ones that were are not missing; they have simply been clicked on leaving exposed wood (and not the silk cream finish as per the show room). 6. AWOL kitchen fitters This by far is what has upset us the most. Our kitchen fitters were meant to come on Thursday 24 September. I and my brother had taken the day off work. We found out late morning that the fitters vehicle had been involved in a collision and they would come the next day. After 15 calls, we were eventually told by the main fitter that the vehicle has been sent back to the depot and he would be in touch to confirm his arrival time to complete the fitting on Friday 25 September. We have tried calling at least 50 times along with head office (who were not even aware a road collision had occurred) and the mobile phone has been disconnected... odd!? Did he simply just vanish off the face of the earth?? We have since spoken to Lenny who first informed us that no other fitters work in the south east region of the UK and we would need to find our own – WHAT!? How can one fitter be responsible for the whole of south east this is home to 80% of the UK’s population currently at 66 million people!? This is not what we have paid for and nor can we find or fund anyone to do this as it has taken up every last penny we had to fund a renovation project of this magnitude. When the order was initially placed in April we were bombarded non stop with phone calls for the measuring to take place despite telling the staff that the shell of the kitchen hadn’t even been built. We stuck to Betta Living’s payment terms and always paid on time and they were more than happy to take our money (life savings!) but since then it is us that are always calling and chasing them, rather than the other way around. I myself work in the service/hospitality industry and no would I ever get away with treating another human being like this – how would you react if this was your family home? Avoid at all cost in purchasing a 'Betta Living' kitchen as this was the worst decision we ever made!

The design process is a bit laborious (and time consuming) as the designer still works with pencil and paper, it is now 2015 and I thought they would have an app for that. Apart from the above, the customer communication and service is very good, equally the fitting.

Hello. I'm very pleased with furniture which provide BettaLiving, and fitter was fantastic in his job. He's done everything to perfection. I already bought two bedroom units from them. Very happy with that. Very big thanks to fitter Mark. Will see you later on again

Kitchen purchased in 2012. Worst decision I've ever made. Rude installers. Cupboard doors literally fell off the next day, then they had to order more from overseas and then despite my complaint about the inappropriate installers (I have kids about) sent the same ones back. Fittings are poor quality. Soft close doesn't work, under cabinet light fittings snapped, hinges broke. Delamination on work tops and corners of units. Finish not flush, handles not even. Under sink plumbing literally fell apary at the u bend once. Fridge has broken twice, once under warrenty and then 15 months later with same fault. The repair company (hoover candy looking after baumatic) couldn't help because betta living hadn't paid a bill to them. So I had to kick off about that before I could even book a call out. This is now booked and although it's the same fault no one will take responsibility. I can not stress enough how much to avoid this company. Their attitude and customer service is very very poor

Brilliant finish. Betta living were the only company that could come up with a design for the awkward space we have in the loft. Pleased with the overall service received from all at each stage of the process.

The quality of the product itself was good, however, the procedure was a bit confusing. Payment procedure was ridiculous. We had to pay each person related to the process, first, the design consultant, second, the surveyor, third was betta living itself through the phone call, and the last was the fitter. Through these payment, we never had any type of receipt what so ever even though insisted that we needed VAT receipt. Finally the financial team sent us the VAT receipt but the actual amount on the receipt was the payment for Betta Living itself not the designing fee, surveyor's fee and fitting fee. One more disturbing thing was the fitter didn't take any rubbish at all even the saw dust. He put all the rubbish in the box and the plastic bag and left them in our garage. I just found out after he leave so nothing I can do but take all the rubbish to the tipping place by myself. As I mentioned the product itself was good but the service was not good enough for the money.

We have today had our kitchen fitted from this company. We cannot praise them enough from the first salesman app to the exceptional fitting team who arrived yesterday. Thank you so much Tony, Andy and Josh. All staff we have come in to contact with from face to face and telephone have been helpful and polite. Everything that was supposed to happen did happen at the correct time. We were quite worried when we kept reading bad reviews but from start to finish BettaLiving have been admirable. We would definitely use this company again. ????????

The workmanship of the two wardrobes we had fitted was excellent. The workmen arrived on time were very quick workers and kept the place very clean whilst working. They were a good team to have around. The product itself is excellent and very good quality. The wardrobes are very spacious and good materials are used. The Boudoir, although expensive is an asset and extremely useful for all the little bits and pieces and precious ornaments. The drawers are perfect especially for the array of racing ties that my husband has and he can now see what he has and it all looks very colorful in the drawers. The larger drawers are perfect for best jumpers and underwear. It was a very lucky day for us when we came across Betta Life and we shall be back again in due course. Very Highly Recommended.

Hi I am Chris's mum who actually had the furniture fitted. I was very satisfied with the sales person who visited my home, the surveyor was okay and the fitter was superb. But the delivery aspect of your service was total rubbish and chaotic. I was told my order would be delivered on a particular day, I took the day off work and was then informed that the goods would not be delivered on that day at all, as the driver hadn't turned in. This was a Friday and the fitter was arriving on the Monday morning at 8.00 to start the job. I asked if the delivery could be made on the Saturday so that it would be in place for the fitter and was asked if 9.00 on the Saturday morning was okay with me, which was fine. I waited, and waited - 9.00, 10.00 - still no delivery. Phoned someone at 10.30 to ask where it was. 11.00 still no delivery and as I was due out to an appointment was leaving my house at 11.20 to be greeted by the delivery driver. Only ONE delivery person to unload my large order (my son and daughter in law actually helped unload) as we had an appointment at 12.00 - but we were still late for that appointment. Not good ! I was then out on the Saturday for the rest of the day. However, I received a phone call on my mobile at 3.30 from the delivery driver who said he had forgotten to deliver a full pallet of goods to my house and wondered if he could deliver it. As you can imagine I was NOT happy and told him that he couldn't and it would have to be delivered first thing on the Monday morning. WHAT A TOTAL SHAMBLES - this totally stressed me out. The fitter arrived promptly on the Monday morning, at 8.00, and was updated on the delivery situation. The fitter was your saving grace - he was superb - had there been any problems with this aspect of the job I would have sent in a complaint and requested compensation for the day I took off work to accept the delivery and then it didn't arrive. I was also on the verge of cancelling the whole order. Perhaps you should still consider some compensation for the shambles of two days Friday and Saturday 14th and 15th August. I had a bedroom fitted through Betta Living Job B65279 and can say it was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Angelika and MIck the design and technical experts were so helpful and through and the fitters Bob and Brett timely, phoning ahead to confirm the job, polite, tidy and excellent work Product looks amazing and value for money, would recommend to anyone and looking to buy a kitchen form them following this service

We are very pleased with our stylish wardrobe. The quality is of a very high standard, and worth every penny. The fitter Mark Hathaway was very professional, polite and gave us an excellent service. He worked very hard and completed the installation within the time frame quoted. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Showroom staff very efficient and attentive.Bedroom selected and onto our first home visit.My wife and I were both very disappointed with the "double glazing" approach to giving us an acceptable quotation..........we much prefer a straight and honest cost of our selection instead of inflated prices heavily discounted. Our fitter,Peter Battey,was fantastic!...........early starter,very tidy and polite and spent time with us on completion to go through every detail. We came to BL by way of recommendation to be told our friends would receive a £250 "thank you".In the showroom we were told that would be made by vouchers against your showroom website but told it would be "cash" by your first salesman.Your own documentation states "by cheque"...confusing!!! At the end of the day we would be happy to recommend Betta Living to our friends. Malcolm& Freda Rutherford.

Wardrobes are decent material and look nice! Sales and adm services were a mess! A lot of paper work and not much information technology availble to communicate staff internatly of clients case. Too many separete services (sales, finance, serveyor and fitter) that are have to be paid separetely. Sales man measured and drew everything on the first visit and then surveyor came and had to do it all over again - including the drawing. One resonable computer program would avoid this duplication. Staff were very nice and material seems to be of a good quality. Lets wait and see! Overall, I amm satisfied with the company but think they need seriouly operational change.

I have had several rooms fitted by Betta Living, and have been of superb quality. My new bedroom has also lived up to my expectations. However, be careful with the delivery teams, do not take your eyes of them. They smashed the screen on my TV whilst depositing the furniture in the bedroom. Unbeknown to my that they had done this, I signed the form to say all was ok and no damage done. Once the bedroom was completed and I returned the tv to the bedroom, it was then very obvious that the screen was broken. Betta living took my complaint, and totally disregarded any kind of support because I had signed the form. Sadly they have lost a very loyal customer, and I now have had to find a different supplier to fit my new kitchen, normally the business would of been Betta Livings!!!!

I am a returning customer to Betta Living. This time we had a bathroom fitted. From start to finish the process has been superb. They delivered on time, and were extremely polite and tidy. The fitter Rob arrived at 715 the following morning to start the work. What can I say... he was excellent! He explained everything to us in detail what to expect and as we only have one loo in the house every evening he plumbed it back in! The job had a number of twists and turns to say the least...but Rob carried on , always with a smile and overcome them! He worked extremely hard even on a Saturday to ensure we had our bathroom up and running. I would recommend Betta Living as the quality is second to none. I would like to reiterate however, that our fitter Rob was completely professional and a true perfectionist when it came to his work! I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.
