You would be better just purchasing a different less expensive brand and purchasing the other brand every few years. Overpriced for the quality of the product. “It's about their website. They give out 15% code for first order upon account registration. But you have to wait 24-48 hrs for the simple coupon code to generate and being sent to your inbox. It's either too clever, or they are just too busy to fix this. Why would anyone wait to make their first order for 24-48 hours? How effective will be the conversion rate with this wait time? Are there even ecommerce product owners there to understand this is bad for the website sales?”

On August 15, 2022 I purchased Andermatt Shearling boots. They lay in my closet for a long time, about six months ago I started wearing them. I was just walking along the city asphalt. Recently I got caught in the rain and got my feet very wet. When I looked at the sole, it was full of holes! This is already my second pair from this brand that end up with holes. My first boots of the same model wore out quickly in the same way. I replaced the soles, but they were too heavy for them, the shoes were no longer comfortable to wear, and I had to throw them away.
These shoes so short-lived even though I paid 125 euros for them! I will not buy anything from Birkenstock again.
When I bought them, I hoped to wear it for several years, but Birkenstock is simply mocking me by selling substandard goods.”

“I purchased the Arizona and Barbados Eva. The Barbados arrived in a box with no wrapping and were dirty, they appeared used. Hair all over them!!!!They also looked off white, not the white I anticipated. Perhaps due to use.
Aquarius from customer service was an angel, as I was so upset practically in tears and yelling and she was very sympathetic ( I apologized not her fault).

“Mot so much the website, but disappointed in the product these days. I’ve had 4-5 pairs (mostly bostons) over the past 10-12 years. They used to last for years….now the soles start to wear noticeably within a few months and the cork cracks earlier- they’re done in < 1 year. For the price you’d just as well get a cheaper knock-off and birkenstocks just aren’t a quality product anymore.”
“Defective sandals won't be replaced. They said it is normal wear and tear. They have been worn a minimal amount of times. The so called leather is cracking. The customer service agent acts like the replacement would come out of her check. $100 sandals probably cost 10.00. I have numerous pairs of Birkenstocks, but I won't have anymore.”

“First, I am a fan and advocate of Birkenstocks which is why I feel extra frustrated with customer service because I do love the brand. For years now I buy every year new Birkenstocks and lately I wanted to try som in-house Zermatt Premium Sherling. VEry nice for in house, especially during cold winter months. I wear them after taking a shower in the evening but unfortunately the black color stains my feet intensely. The stains are not only intense in color but also extremely difficult to remove. I can't wear them in the evening because it would effect my white bedding linen. Instead of taking my problem and request to return the item seriously. I received an email saying that there is nothing wrong with the product and that the recomendation is to clean my feet first with olive oil and after with Soap. To be clear, after taking a shower in the evening - the perfect time to wear these in-house- Birkenstocks, I have to take another shower to clean them. The oil and soap recommendation doesn't work by the way. My feet still look un-clean and it looks embarrassing when I am with people.
Birkenstock, no matter if my return request was beyond the time frame, there is something wrong with this product and it would be appropriate to address factory errors accordingly instead of trying to justify the 'health and quality' of the product and sending me complicated cleaning guidelines on how to wash my feet. A Birkenstock fan.
