I purchased a ticket from bookaway for JJ express Yangon to Bagan. We received the confirmation mail but without any seat number. It was bit strange, bookaway support service told us just to show the confirmation mail to bus agency. That's all no names, nothing When we were at the bus station right on time there wasn't any reservation number matching with ours and no availability at all. Bookaway reservations doesn't have any customers name or booking number but just website name. Whoever comes first from bookaway gets the seat!! It was impossible to reach bookaway.com support via phone, chat, mail. We had to find another ticket on ourself Avoid working with this page, its a total scam

I used bookaway on to sepparate occasions both of which left me severely disappointed. The first time I booked a bus from Saigon to mui ne, despite claiming that a conformation will be sent within 24 hours, 2 days later I still didn’t receive one. Using the customer service from bookaway has been a extremely painful experience, but atleast in that instance I did receive the ticket one day before departure of the bus, and After several e-Mails and messages. The second time using the service was even worse. I booked a bus ride from Saigon to Vung Tau, they sent me a ticket with the wrong date on it, despite like a small issue it still hasn’t been resolved to this day. The WhatsApp customer service seems like a great thing at first but after realizing that all they do is write that they will try to resolve the issue, but they never follow up on that. Don’t use this company it will cause you more stress than comfort!

I used them for three times in Nepal. Two works OK, but last one not accepted by the bus. I had to pay for the ride on the bus. They didn't communicate after and the only way to get my money back is by using PayPal. Not recommend....

They have a phone number yet no one picks up, and doesn’t reply to emails. My boyfriend and I booked 2 separate cabins on a bus from sapa to Hanoi, and they email us on the day of and say the our bus doesn’t have any single cabins available, yet we bought the tickets before? They then tried to switch us onto a different bus but didn’t reply to any follow up emails or calls. Do not use this service. You are better off using any other possible site

Do not use! We purchased tickets online, turned up at station and showed ticket to manager. He told us to sit down, and then when our bus came, said we werent on this one, and that another one was coming. Nothing turned up and he made us pay a further 500VND to get the last hus, stating we should have got on the first bus. Pure jokes. Didnt seem like this was the first time this might have happened. His attitude was appauling 'not my problem, not my problem'. I would definately not reccommend this

I bought 2 bus ticket from Nha Trang to Dalat for my friend & I at Bookaway website. When we went to the counter to collect the tickets on that day, the bus operator (The guy in the photo) rejected our e-ticket and told us system showed we've cancelled the transaction earlier. I showed him the payment that i made but he insisted that we have to purchase another bus ticket for VND600,000 (USD25) else we are not allowed to get in the bus. I refused to pay again and started to raise up my voice to argue with him. He after that realized we're being stared and agree to let us get into the bus. During the argument, he was keep on mentioning not to buy e-ticket from online, as most of the websites are scam sites and I'm doubting is Bookaway is one of them or the guy was trying to cheat our money. It's really spoiling my holiday.

I only wish I had read the below reviews belge booking. Exactly the same story - prepaid online, arrived to find no tickets are reserved for us. Tried calling/emailing/texting but complete silence and abysmal customer service. I’ve travelled extensively and have never encountered a scam to this magnitude. I hope whatever sub-humans run this charade get what’s coming to them.

Do NOT use this company as they do not exist... I paid for 2 tickets, but no tickets sent... No reply from they... Real SCAMMERS !!

We book three tickets the seats were located on wheel hub. There was no space for legs.bus was jamp pack and luggage was stored on the aisle,and can not move.if you you have to walk on the luggage to exit. When we want to complain, there was no body Do not book with this website You will end up with a dangerous bus journey

They sold me a ticket for the bus line who doesn't operate anymore. After I sent them an email asking for a refund they didn't give me any response till now! You should avoid them just because they doesn't care about they customers!

Provided me with a voucher for a non-existent company leading me to miss a legitimate bus which supposedly was booked out. Sort of scam.

This company is working with subcontractors there are goodones and bad ones. Bookaway can also force them to come with a solution if things not going right. But they dont... Bookaway choose they easyway and refund without service, therefor a kind of scam-ish Made a booking incl a pickup at hotel with bus at 0850. The company send a grab motorbike who refused my backpack at 0915 (after calling where the pickup bus was). The company told me it was too late and the bus left and that I wasnt in time. I asked multiple times where the collection point was so I can arrange a car or a 2nd bike for my backpack. But the company refused to cooperate and told me I was the one that was delaying... The company offered refund were I payed for a service, the company told me that they wont help me further. I booked a private car for 145 usd to avoid missing my booked trips. This shoulde be done by the company in order to forfill the agreement.

They charge me and then decline my booking saying that the bus was fully booked. For refund I have to wait 10 business days... the bus is not full since I have booked on the spot with no problems. Do not book with this company. Is totally scam!

I (attempted to) purchased Fansipan bus tickets through Bookaway. My credit card was charged and no tickets were provided. There was no confirmation email, nor an email with my ticket. When I went to the pick-up location for the bus, the agency there had not received confirmation from Bookaway. I had to purchase another bus ticket... The messaging feature on the Bookaway website says "We respond immediately" - THEY DO NOT. Bookaway support took several hours to respond. They told me that a confirmation email was sent 12 mins after my purchase, but no such email exists. I asked them to forward the email to me again, they ignored me... I was scammed in 'broad daylight'. This company stole my money... I know that my email was placed correctly because they have managed to send me advertisements instead of the service I purchased.

Purchased ticket and immediately saw that my booking date changed. The company would not accept, the preferred date. Stole money and would not make any allowances

Warning!! Do not use this company. I booked a bus ticket through them 2 days prior to departure. They took the money from my account immediately. On the day of the departure I had to follow them up 4 hours before the bus departed because the booking still said pending. It then took them 2 hours to tell me that I didn’t have a booking on the bus, it was now full with no seats available. The solution they offered was for me to pay $100USD more to get transport on the day and they would not compensate me for the inconvenience in any way. I asked for a refund and was told it would take 7-10days to hit my account. Then they said if it’s there in 10days to contact them again!!! Leading me to believe it probably won’t hit my account in 10days. To make matters worse we arrived at the bus station and booked 2 tickets on the same bus for $20USD!!!! They mislead and lack integrity and then extremely unhelpful when I was inconvenienced. DO NOT RISK USING THEM. BOOK DIRECT OR USE ANOTHER AGENCY

I booked luxury minivan by Huu Binh Limousine from Hanoi to Sa Pa in Vietnam. Pick up from the hotel was at time and that is the only positive thing about that trip. Driver decided to pick-up some strangers on the way and give they a lift half way to the border with China. He did not speak basic english,( or pretend ) I was scared at some point, uncomfortable and almost 2 hours late to my destination. Never again!

Not stress free but stressfull! No one knew who tour agent was so was left standing around. Was then told we missed the coach as the train was late. Utter lie, train was on time. On the return journey got left in the middle of surat thani and told to pay and get on a local bus to the train station. Paper work provided was uninformative to both english and thai people. Avoid at all costs.

Bookaway sells ferry tickets that they are known to cancel within hours of departure. At this point when you get to the ferry company window, they charge you prefer than 3 times the original price to take a "private ferry" it is part of a huge scam and many people have been taken already. Do some research on Facebook and see for yourself. It's happened on almost all there routes. They don't offer services with the more trusted companies. Only the ones that have "unfortunate breakdowns" as they call them. They take absolutely no responsibility as they are most likely in on the scam. Can't wait until a class action suit is brought against them. Corrupt company.
