I gave an address to send to the person I had purchased the address for and whilst you delivered to their address you put my name on it instead of theirs! Even though I had given their name with the address details. Spoilt the surprise.

Not yet used the voucher, but I was disappointed to find that the afternoon tea river cruise part of the experience was sent with only a 2 and a half months expiry on it, whereas the website clearly states both vouchers will be valid for 6 months. Having contacted Buyagift, they were unable to extend the voucher past 30 April, and although they offered to swap the experience, I still feel really disappointed by their false advertising. Make sure you check your vouchers when they arrive!

I would like to start with saying that I cannot actually fault BuyAGift. The purchasing process was really easy, it came in plenty of time and when there was an issue they came to a suitable resolution for me immediately (thank you Shaun!!). With that being said the comedy club the recipients booked with could not have handled this worse if they tried. They cancelled without informing the people who booked with them (no phone call, text or email), when asked if they could have an alternative night they were told no. This is after I paid out over £50 in travel expenses so they could have a child free night, and they paid out £30 in travel expenses getting there and back. So thank you BuyAGift, but on this occasion your suppliers let you down.

Purchased a Spa Day for two with lunch and Prosecco for my daughter and her partner as a Christmas gift - they went today and were really disappointed when they got back. They waited for over 40 minutes for their 'lunch' which consisted of a sandwich - they did not receive their prosecco and had to ask for water with their 'meal' twice before getting it. I thought I was buying a nice experience which included lunch for them - I did not expect them to receive a sub-par service, basically a snack and not even the full package that I paid for!! Bannatyne Spa Bury St Edmunds is obviously more interested in spending money on top of the range gym equipment than providing customer service.

First time used, phoned company 3 times to book and they couldn’t except so had to contact act Buyagift. Things happen but when it states 3 easy steps when it wasn’t

Hi Sue, Our '2 for 1' deals refer to the fact that the voucher entitles TWO people for the price of ONE. It does not mean that you will receive two vouchers for the price of one. In relation to a hotel voucher it would mean that the offer is for TWO nights for the price of ONE Apologies for any confusion caused and I hope the above helps.

Bought this a Christmas present for my parents. When they have tried to enquire about the hotels available on the website they are getting no response. When contacting the hotels direct they are only taking booking for up to April at the moment. So unable to book for June. But then according to the terms and conditions you have to book at least 90 days in advance. So in a word I wish I’d just given my parents the £300 for them to choose and book somewhere themselves.As it’s proving quite stressful trying to redeem the voucher.

Bought deluxe 2 nights for the price of 1, checked out the restrictions as wanted to use in Norfolk at Easter, no restrictions applied over that period but when we tried to book all three hotels would not let us use the voucher at Easter.

Booked an afternoon tea for 2 experience as a Xmas present for a relative. Followed all instructions and had great service from Buy a gift. Turned up at Cafe Rouge in London at the scheduled time and was told to wait as there was a mix up with bookings and they told us they expected 5 adults and 2 children despite us reserving for only 2 adults! Then we were hurried to a table and asked if we wanted tea...again were waiting and no milk or sugar was brought to us we had to go and find a member of staff to ask for something so basic as sugar for out tea. Afternoon tea was served and the croque monsieur sandwiches were pale dripping in soggy cheese when it should have been cooked a little longer etc. 1 very small scone each usually everywhere you go you always at least get 2 scones each etc and then a variety of sweet cakes and a mini chocolate mousse. The afternoon tea ended up being lovely however would never book again cafe rouge owing to the service experienced by staff on the day. As this was a gift...and all prepaid...even the waiter on the day made me go onto my mobile phone to present the voucher code....despite us handing him a hard printed copy of the voucher on arrival...and also me telephoning beforehand to reconfirm that all was ok with the booking. How embarrassing sitting in Cafe Rouge when as stated this was a gift and made to feel like animbecile by the staff all because this was prepaid.

I ordered a multiple package of a 360 ride in Brighton followed by a meal. I didn’t receive the voucher and had to email the Buyagift team. Who were very quick to sort out the problem. However I did not check the voucher properly and was only sent part if the experience. A bit disappointing as I didn’t realise until I had given the gift. However quickly sorted and the second part was sent the next day.

Placed the order on Friday (before 4pm) paid for next day delivery (got charged for it) and it didn't arrive till Tuesday (Christmas Eve). No update in the process, apology or acknowledgement. I hope the service will be better especially as it cost a lot of money.

I emailed to complain as I'd purchased a gift and paid for garuntee next day delivery which did not happen. I got no apology but simply told not to panic!! Seriously I paid for a service I didn't receive then you handled my complaint hurrendously not impressed and have been put off from purchasing future gifts through you.

I bought an afternoon tea gift voucher for patisserie Valerie and was told by my mother in law whom the present was for, that it had gone into liquidation on Newcastle which is their nearest store. They are older and don’t want to travel far for an afternoon tea so now this voucher is useless! You need to update your website and make sure people know where this is not available!
