Hi, if I'm honest, the store felt a bit like a car boot / jumble sale. I do feel that the store should have a more 'professional' feel to it. The new queuing system could have been much better, when I visited a gentleman was deciding whether to buy and camera or not and stood there playing with it for at least 40 minutes, I probably stood waiting for twenty minutes watching him hum and haw, it was very frustrating. May I suggest that there is a fast-track till for those who know exactly what they want? The staff were very helpful once you had their attention but there were a few staff that were desperately trying to avoid making eye contact with me by keeping themselves busy and not helping. I will be back as I have been a loyal customer for many, many years, but would like to see it improve.

hello, i didn't make a purchase from calumet as the price was £300 more than i was offered else where and when i went back to see if they could match, it seemed i had to do to much sending of the quote i had and then wait and see if directors would then deem it ok to match the quote so i bought the items i needed from the other company and received them the next morning before 9 am, which was great as i only paid for them at 4.30 pm. This company was Aj's. I do use calumet for hire equipment and will try to buy again but cost is important

Lack of available stock and lack of a smile from any staff is always a downer. Calumet still cuts it but only just. They need to decide who their market really is - i would have spent more if they had taken any time to sell me stuff. I had to point out the offers showing were ignored on my bill so they refunded me as 'the system doesn't update itself'. The Pro photographer is heading online for a reason.

I would put this somewhere between normal and poor. I ordered on the 12 th. of january and one the site it said all items where in stock. Order was delivered on 11 th. of february. Given I am in Denmark, and need help with the VAT deduction, witch I got and that is a great service for me. Still the order could have arrived a lot faster and was promised to be shipped a couple of times before it went out. Great products and they do the best to help, but they need to keep promises a bit better :) Recommend the shop but not if you need something on a heavy deadline :)

I ordered 3 roles of background paper for my studio. One came in the morning as advertised and then two others arrived sometime after. I wasn't told that there would be two separate deliveries. I only found out when I rang customer services. Poor communication

Overall, the service received was OK but there were a couple of areas where I felt the service could be improved: - Notification of when the item was likely to be delivered was inaccurate and I had to ring to get the information. I felt this should have been provided proactively and updated in the light of expected deliveries; - There was little communication on the actual day of delivery to (a) confirm the item was actually due for delivery that day and (b) there is no facility to track the status of the item. Many retailers now use systems that narrow down the likely delivery time to a specific hour which I find extremely helpful.

I have recently purchased three items from Calumet. Two of the items I received immediately the next day, but a week later, I am still waiting for my third item. Not sure, what happened. About to give Calumet a call.

Placed order on website before Christmas, all was showing in stock and even with the holiday season I still thought I would get items in good time. Wrong returned in the new year and still no sign of order, so I phoned up to be told on back order (had already paid and in stock when order placed)hadn't been called or emailed to be informed of this. So thanks guys still waiting for two items.......

I found the sales assistant not to be as informed as I had hoped. He was friendly and co-operative but lacked knowledge in respect of my requirements. After I had made my purchases I then inquired about the new A3+ Epson Printer but again got very little information, in spite of the fact that there is a short article in your most recent publication about this particular printer. Quite disappointing really.

I was served initially by a very rude man with white hair and glasses, not Alex, who is doing nothing for your business. When I suggested his customer service skills were not up to scratch and I'd like to be served by someone else, he shrugged and said whatever!

We have used Calumet many times and have been very satisfied - the last order being the exception. Only one small part of a big order arrived within 17 days. On chasing it up over a fortnight after original order was placed we were told that the consignment had been dispatched promptly but returned to the sender as FedEx said that they could not find the address (despite many previous deliveries). The second part of the order was not in stock and took over 2 weeks to dispatch (still not received). These things happen but on no occasion were we contacted either by phone or email to advise of delivery problems or back order delays. We will continue to use them as we appreciate the service in our local outlet and that the problem was primarily with FedEx - and their frankly pathetic excuse.

So mixed feelings here really, having never bought from Calumet before I wasn't sure what to expect. So I was pleasantly surprised to see the products I wanted almost £50 cheaper than rival companies, great so far... The problem for me arose with delivery, I knew I had opted for the 2/3 day delivery but it took a week for the item to arrive and then only part of the order arrived, it took two phone calls and two promised revised delivery dates before the second item (without which the first couldn't operate) finally turned up. So make your own mind up, if you're not in a hurry go for it, if it's urgent perhaps try somewhere else.

Price very competitive but advise as to delivery date poor. Part order had been delivered, but no comments or emails received about delivery of remaking two items, on of which (ink cartridges) were showing as "in stock" and the other oshiwing as: orders accepted but currently not in stock. I expected the cartridges to be delivered and advice as to approx dates for out of stock item

The product, Epson V550 scanner is very good, does everything it claims. I missed the delivery as I didn't receive an email as promised informing of delivery date / time so had to pick it up from courier depot.

After receiving e-mails advertising different lenses and a" try before you buy offer" I visited the store in Glasgow and found that none of the lenses I asked about were in stock and had to be ordered in which I found disappointing. With the help of the assistant I did purchase a lens, but not one that was the reason for my visit. You might think that this is a good result to the advertising campaign, but next time I will look at other outlets also before making any purchase.

On the whole I was very pleased with the service. My order arrived on time and very efficiently. Even though there was a broken bulb wih the equipment when it arrived, it was replaced with the minimum of fuss within 48 hours. But I would say that at the original point of sale I noticed what I think I would call low morale. It wasn't a happy, 'can do' transaction. I seemed to know more about the sale conditions than your member of staff - principally from what I heard on your recorded message while I was on hold..! If it was my office I would be looking at inspiring my team and cheering everyone up a bit. Thank you for my new studio lights though - they're great. Best Annabel

Had to return your own make of tripod due to being faulty and the remaining 2 tripods you had in stock were also faulty. The stall don't seem particularly knowledgeable when you ask for advice.
