“I waited in line for around 15/20 minutes with two people in front of me, and several people behind. The staff did not seem aware / to be concerned that a large number of people were waiting. I also then had to wait whilst an 'invoice' was produced at the end of the sale. This process seemed very cumbersome. I am fairly new to photography and did not find the process of buying from you particularly comfortable. A lot of jargon was used, and little effort made initially to guide me to what I needed. Once we had got through this the sales assistant was helpful, knowledgable, and polite.”

“Visited the Bristol branch when attending the Macro Academy (which was excellent). Dithered over ordering a Black Water Sling then decided to order online when I got home. Goods arrived by return and staff at Bristol branch were very attentive and helpful.”

“I was after a double strap for the weekend,. but the one I asked for was out of stock....no alternative suggested. I asked if there was an alternative...no reply, so I searched the web site and found one... Yes it was in stock so I ordered it on the Tuesday. Yes it will be with you by Wednesday, Thursday at the very latest. So on Friday I chased it up, 'Sorry' we will send it out for Tuesday delivery (after the weekend) No offer of Saturday AM... no offer of money off. It actually turned up on Monday after the event I needed it for. Not very impressed for a professional company. JB-K”

“easy to use website, customer service a bit mixed, as tried to sort out finance problem on many occasions without a proper outcome, but eventually got through and spoke to 1 gentleman who actually sorted the problem out and even got my items delivered the next day too. excellent service from some of the team but looks like some need extra training to get them up to standard. all in all a good experience but could have been an excellent experience. Very pleased with items purchased, would definitely shop again.”

“We ordered a camera bag for my son at the Photographic Show. We were assigned a person who kept us updated (as it was out of stock). They were brilliant and when the bag arrived my son was over the moon with how great the bag was.”

“your website says you dont have my email. and i want to make another purchase on line but i cant do it.. and your customer service rushes through and does not give correct advice on your products. I made 3 purchases and returned 2 to get what i needed. Every purchase was advised and suggested by your customer service. (for gels advices) Also another issue is your genesis strip softbox and quick ring are misleading. its not clear enough that you need to buy 3 items to have a working product. pictures are misleading. its wasted alot of time and money to fix things. (This is a seperate issues from the ones above.)”

“Nice shop. Knowledgeable people. This was my first visit. They had what I wanted. I wish there would have been more camera models to choose from; at least while deciding which to get. It would be better to be able to compare working models side-by-side. Pretty decent prices.”

“Terrible. Received faulty product - frame doesn't fit together properly. Requested replacement.... After several weeks we've now established that I have to send back the faulty item for inspection before a new one can be despatched. Already sent photos which have been seen and accepted as proof as the problem, so why they can't despatch another and get the courier to collect the faulty goods at the same time I just don't know. Taken three weeks to get precisely nowhere.”

“I've used Calumet for a many years and nearly always found it an excellent place to shop. I was in the Wardour St. branch, the branch I personally prefer to deal with, on Sat 2nd April and purchased some Calumet wireless triggers. The service by the Scottish chap was exceptional. I've always found his level of service superb, always willing to show products and explain them, or letting me try lenses etc. Overall Calumet is a excellent camera shop. G Lewis”
