“I was going to buy a 2014 harley davidson motorcycle. I decided to run a carfax on it and discovered that it was in a accident. The whole front end was replaced. So car fax saved me $17000. I will never buy any vehicle without a car fax.”

“I have always purchased new cards and had never bought a used car before. When I went to look at the 2013 FIAT, the dealer never offered the opportunity to look at the Carfax info so I purchased one for myself online. The report came back great - and I bought the car. Am happy with both Carfax and the car and recommend Carfax to everyone!! Anna Blau Stone Mountain, GA”

“1970 We purchased vehicles,for each other & children.NEVER once had a BOW! The unbelievable kindness, stressless experience,with the knowledge of vehicles & the process of purchasing a vehicle, Tyler Lane has, with treated us like family, is a memory that will be hard to forget. The experience didn't stop there, THE DREADED SIGNING ROOM, (in Pennsylvania its call a Finance office). Nell Whitehouse greeted us as a Professional, loving her job! Gary insists I talk too much,especially when I am nervous. (He said as, we were leaving you know you started BABBLING,but he realized I was out of control with my jokes & stories.) Nell didn't seem to mind, in fact her attitude, (even though she was trying to concentrate on completing the paperwork) I felt her facial expressions and body language made me feel like she was really enjoying our time, with her. Once again, being 63 & 64 we have had plenty of experiences with car dealers and Carmax, yesterday, has us wonder WHY WHY was yesterday the first time we even purchased a car from you. WORD OF MOUTH IS YOUR BEST ADVERTISER! TV, radio, signs, lights circling the sky, is needed, to make us slow learners, to get to you, but we will be talking about our newly purchased van for many years, with your name Carmax, the best and only place to go. You are Blessed to have such great employees, and whoever started this company, Thank-You we only wished you were around in 1970. Gary & Donna Bennett.”

“I was looking into buying a nice condition Toyota 4Runner. The seller delayed giving me the VIN. I went to meet the seller and then drove the vehicle. He advertised it as having 124,000 miles and three family members as owners. He seemed friendly enough. I liked how it drove and preliminary inspection seemed fine. I checked CarFax and it actually had 280,000 miles, five owners, and he had bought it from an auction. Needless to say I immediately walked away from him and that transaction. He was fraudulent. Now I will make it requirement to check CarFax before meeting someone. This could have been a dangerous situation as this seller also had several friends of his waiting when we returned from the test drive”

“We were looking at purchasing a small truck. The mileage on the truck was very low and looked like a very good deal. We run a car fax and discovered that the odometer was tampered with. The truck actually had over 200k miles and was wrecked. Thank you Car Fax for saving us from making a huge mistake.”

“I can't begin to say how much I love Carfax. Within the last four years it has saved me four times from buying a vehicle that wasn't being protrade with the correct information. Everything from mileage on the odometer not being correct to one having car being in four significant accidents. And on the other side it was a great tool for helping me to choose a quality use vehicle to purchase. And I can say with Carfax I am three per three for used vehicles are purchased within the last four years. Thank you Carfax, i'll never buy a car without using you first.”

“Applying the Carfax app, I researched extensively about different car history, which makes me find a good car eventually. I really enjoyed the services from carfax. My only hope is that the unlimited 2 months plan could include more checks through VIN number.”

“I was looking to buy a car for my son for college and we found a nice clean looking older Dodge avenger that was advertised as a clean title. When we ran the Carfax we found that it had actually been in three accidents. Then we found a nice looking Scion and again advertised as a clean title. We ran the Carfax and found that it had been in three accidents and had formally been totaled but we found out that the state doesnt list a salvage title on cars after they are eight years old. Then we found the car we bought :) a Ford FX5 with a truely clean title, low miles and a great service history. I would never buy a used car again without Carfax. Thanks CARFAX”

“My daughter was hit be a deer and totaled her car. We needed to find a reasonable used car quickly! The first car had multiple owners and accidents. The second car was one owner with no accidents!!!! Glad we had Car Fax!”

“Carfax allows me to check the history of a car before purchase. I have used the service for years to help me get a good used car. I recently wanted to purchase a 2000 Special Edition Mazda Miata. I was able to find a low-mileage 2-owner cream puff just 140 miles away. By pulling the Carfax, I was ready to make an offer when I first saw the car. In fact, I had taken a certified check with me for the amount of my offer and I bought the car on the spot! Years ago I bought a certified used car from a local dealer. Did not "bother" with a Carfax. When I got ready to sell the car 6 years later, I found out that the car had been wrecked prior to my buying it from the dealer - that hurt my resale value. So, I no longer skip the Carfax!”

“I was interested in a 2005 Buick Rendezvous from a local dealer in Fairbury, Nebraska. Everything the dealer had listed sounded wonderful. We all know that sometimes what you read can be too good to be true. So I used CARFAX to see the whole story about the vehicle. It helped me make the decision to go look at and test drive the Rendezvous. The story had a happy ending to everyone's satisfaction. I bought the Buick Rendezvous based a lot on the CARFAX information. It really helped me a lot. Thank you.”

“CARFAX let me know that the Civic Si I had my eyes on had a salvage title in another state but was "title washed" and appeared as a clean title in my state. Turns out the car also had an incorrect odometer reading. I'd say that the price of CARFAX was worth it considering the headaches it saved me from buying a car from an untrustworthy seller. Also, it's been fun looking up my old cars and seeing what states they ended up in.”

“Carfax is an essential resource when purchasing a used vehicle. I've searched nearly 5 months in the used car ads. Without the use of Carfax you cannot tell whether the car was in an accident or had maintenance work done consistently. I eventually found a used car while researching another car on the Carfax website. The car had no accident records and the maintenance was complete throughout the car history. Great resource for purchasing a car.”

“I was ready to buy a 2008 Jeep Wrangler until I checked the Carfax and found that the history of the vehicle did not match what the seller was telling me. I did not buy the vehicle based on the Carfax information, however, I found another vehicle with an excellent Carfax report, very detailed, and I did purchase that one. I will always check Carfax before buying any used vehicle again.”
