DO NOT use their service package. I paid for this and was told after my first service , after only 10 month after buying the car off them, that there was over £400 worth of work needed doing , including new tyres and brake discs. Naively I paid for the work done. The following year was the same, I declined the work. Last Saturday it had its third service. They sent me a text with a list of problems which included, a nail in 2 tyres, third tyre had low tread which was almost illegal, wipers , front and back needed replacing, brake discs and pads and coolant changing, all for the price of £569. . They even sent me a sweet little video pointing it all out! Again I declined, do they not know we are in the middle of a covid crisis and 5 weeks from Christmas? ! I stated that I would get it done cheaper at my own garage. I took it to another garage which on examination was told these nails don't exist in any of my tyres and the tread on the other tyre is fine. I got him to check the brake pads and they were also fine. I showed him the video and hes told me the tyres and brakes on the car in the video aren't even on my car. Immediately I rang Carshop for them to tell me the video must have been sent in error then to be told the nails must have fallen out from me leaving them to getting to the garage !!! What??? Did the tread also miraculously grow on my other tyre too?? I am now taking this further although trying to speak to a manager is like getting an appointment with the queen . But will be emailing trading standards, as this is fraud , how many other people are they ripping off every day.

11 minutes ago Appalling. Brilliant whilst selling cars, appalling aftercare. Avoid. Look elsewhere about reviews for carshop wakefield apart from their own page. Bought a Mercedes CLA in Feb 2020, upon buying the car and signing for it we noticed a lot of red paint sprayed across the bumper. After asking someone to come and look at it before we drove away he couldn't understand how it hadn't been picked up on the 114point check. This was booked in for a respray and we were asked to look around the car properly the next day with it been dark and report back to them any faults, as they would get sorted when in for a respray. Before driving away we checked the basics... The car fuel cap door wouldn't open, the guy who sold us the car had to open it with his key... So professional, and asked us to leave it open until the part came. Got in the car to drive it away, the last owners car parking tickets were in the door card. Leads us to believe this may not have had a 114point check or if it had, it was a half hearted one. Covid happened carshop said they would reschedule at a later date.. Fair enough. Covid lifted and we left it four weeks to rebook as we'd heard nothing. Basically wouldn't book it in, they'd get in contact with us. Vibration in steering wheel, bent disc. Coolent leaking..... New themostat Prestige car.... Nearly 20grand not had it 6 month at this point. Booked the car in for a MOT, 4 distorted wheels and airline fracture... Fantastic. Phoned customer services AGAIN... Explained everything again, she sympathised with us and said she could see how frustrated we must be, and that it had even gone to area manager, funnily enough we've been told this now up until Nov from February. She also told us it was on the last MOT that the car had a distorted wheel and they replaced the tyre. Brilliant news nothing like masking a problem, a very dangerous problem. Phoned customer service numerous times after, now all we hear is " it is a second hand car". Wrote a review, had someone get back to us asking us to email a lady called Maggie PA of the CEO Johnathen. After hearing our case she sympiyhised with us, she told us she wanted to restore our faith, that she had children so new our concerns were right, that she couldn't make up any excuses as they'd be a lie towards our aftercare as we'd been provided with none. That she didn't like the phrase "second hand car" as she rightly told us " you wouldn't buy a second hand house and expect it to fall down". Agreed with everything we said, sat with our case Infront of her and could see how many times we'd rang that no one had got back to us, that she could only apologise it's not what their company is about. Said they needed to look into Wakefield... Asked us what outcome we wanted and she'd speak to CEO. That she'd contact us on the Friday 13th Nov. Still no call. Decided to look where I left my review on carshop wakefield service, on Google. Read a review left 2 days later about the car shops mechanics as they had a hour long footage of them abusing her car, and was sending it to watchdog. I emailed this to Maggie as it backed up our evidence towards there mechanics... They are Horrendous and UNTRUSTWORTHY.. no reply. Phoned 5 times as of Monday 16th Nov, no reply. We had already been in talks with Citizens Advise and Trading standards, this morning we were advised on our next steps. I have already spoken to a solicitor to start legal proceedings... This is a stress we do not need as a family and nearly a years worth, a concern that should have been dealt with before the car sat on the forecourt. I urge anyone to look at reviews for carshop wakefield on other sites and not their own. 4 cars I had from carpeople not one bit of trouble carshop totally different attitude towards customers... Take the money and done, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I'd be stuck in this situation over a prestige car which for us as a family is such a luxury to have. Avoid at all costs... It isn't worth the stress on your family and the extra money these cars will cost you.

Picked my car up and was told that the problem with the rear parking sensors had been fixed after finding this fault whilst test driving the car, on my first time of using reverse the problem was still there, so i took it to a Mini specialist and was told that the wiring had been altered and that it would now cost over £700.00 to rectify and replace, second issue was 3 of the wheels were buckled and one was to far gone to try and balance so i have now bought a new set, lastly when i collected my car as i was down grading i was due a cheque back for over £4000.00 it is now some 3 weeks later and i have not had the monies back i have now made numerous calls to car shop and have been told on all occasions that i would receive a call back as you guessed i am still waiting for a call back, extremely poor after sales service and i would never use that dealership again so no repeat business of me and i will go out my way to put other people off as i would not this wanting to happen to anyone else.

Will purposely tamper with your car and claim YOU broke it to avoid paying out themselves for the damage. Poor practice, Unskilled mechanics and bad customer service!!!

Courteous salesman dealt with us on arrival, and sourced a car that would need transportation from elsewhere explaining a £150 charge (refundable) on purchase unless the car was not as described, and it would be ready to test within a week. Nearing the end of the week having heard nothing, I repeatedly tried to contact the salesman. Not possible! Needing a new car we looked elsewhere and purchased an alternative. Contacted Carshop HQ to inform them and to ask for my the return of my £150 as a non show car most certainly does not fit the description! Oh surprise, the car was ready the next day! To be told over a phone call by the Carshop spokesperson that " i find it incredible that someone would by a car a day after the promised deadline" I felt was not very professional, especially as I tried to contact them many times . They refused to return my money. Will never have dealings with Carshop again. Very poor customer treatment.

So I bought my first ever car from here about two weeks ago. There were no problems to start with and everything was fine up until I took the car home. I got home and my car wouldn't lock. I therefore drove it straight back to the CarShop Wakefield where I left it to be sorted. The following day I received a call to say it needed a new locking mechanism and the part would be here the following day. This overall had upset me because the car was supposedly 'MOTD' the day I purchased it, so surely they would have picked up that the car doesn't lock. Anyway, the following day arrived and still no news from them. I waited from Wednesday until Saturday when I phoned up. I was not passed onto the Wakefield store and was informed the part would arrive on Monday. This is nearly a week after I brought the car back. Monday came and still no news. This time I phoned and told them I wanted a refund because I was being messed about. A member of staff told me to expect a call the next day to sort out some documents. Tuesday came and went and still no call. So on Wednesday I decided to go down to the store. I was told that nobody there could refund me because those with authorisation had gone home. I e-mailed the manager expecting a reply by Thursday. Still no reply, so myself, my mum and my dad e-mailed the CEO of the CarShop. I finally received a call on Friday to tell me my refund had been sorted out and I was met with many apologies. The level of aftercare and customer service from this business is disgusting and I shall be recommending that everyone stays clear of this place. It has totally ruined my first ever car experience and I am extremely disappointed. NEVER BUY A CAR FROM HERE!

Awful place to buy a car , once they have your money they couldn't care less. Customer service is shocking from the after sales team never ring back when they say(thanks Natalie) and the sales guys just tell you what u want to hear to get the sale but once you collect vehicle you find out in fact the car doesn't have full history or 2 keys ect. I have also had a suspension knock coming from the car since it was collected last week thats getting worseby the day , I have taken it back to be told its only a brake pad moving about don't worry bring it back in 2 weeks. However is not a brake pad rattle its the shock absorber but what would i know ive only been a master technician and a rac patrol for the last 15 years 😀 Today I will be visiting the store to reject vehicle for a number of reasons!

I bought a Ford Focus St 03 from the Wakefield branch . Before I collected the car I was asked to leave a review on here ! . On collecting the car the said there was no spare key or owners manual which I was told there was . Several phone calls and emails later they appeared and were posted out . There was also an headlight malfunction warning light on. No problem they said take it to the Ashton branch and they will sort it. I booked a day off work for the 50 mile round trip with my daughter to bring me home and then take me back , they couldn’t fix it . They booked it into Evans halshaw at Trafford , another 50 mile round trip and another day off work . On arrival ford said car people haven’t paid there bill and they wouldn’t accept it. I drove to the Ashton branch and they booked it into Evans Halshaw at Trafford . Diagnostics done and both headlamps are faulty and need replacing along with the battery that is stopping the stop start from working . Total cost £2137. I sent the report to the Ashton Branch , sudden silence . I had one call from customer services which I missed . I have been trying for 4 days to get through and have been promised several times that they will call you back . You just get put through to a central customer service who despite being friendly can not resolve the issue . Despite this I like the car otherwise it would be parked in reception now . I initially took an extended warranty out which I cancelled immediately once I realised what company I was dealing with . Just contacting the motor ombudsman and my union regards legal representation . What an awful shambles . The only person who has been helpful is a mad called Daniel who sorted the finance out at Wakefield . I don’t usually write reviews , it’s a form of desperation .

Bought BMW on 10th broke down on 20th. RAC via warranty utterly useless and they took 2 days to get car to service. Despite calls every day (5 on 24th) and daily e mails no response from Carshop. I would give them no stars but can't. Read the one start reviews (there's plenty) then make up your mind.

I would never ever recommend anyone to buy a car from CarShop . I had to give one star but believe me if I could have given zero stars I would . We were kept in the showroom for FIVE HOURS and it was only because we had traveled many miles to see the car even putting on a holding deposit we stayed . Very pushy sales team that wouldn’t take no for an answer that we didn’t want any of their inflated price products and when one salesman failed they called in another one and it didn’t matter that we kept saying NO they just kept on ,we said “we just want to pay and go “ but still they tried to wear us down to buy their products . They refused to tax the car for us because we wouldn’t have any extras so we had to go across the road to a supermarket car park to tax it . We wanted to pay cash and the cheeky salesman asked us how we could afford cash because he wanted us to take out credit loan with them . Because we refused to pay £130 for them to prepare the car we had to take it home dirty and we even had the price cards just thrown on the back seat ,we also had to stop at a garage to put air in the tyres as the pressures were low and the warning light was on . We have bought many cars over the years but this was the worst customer service we have ever received and I would just say one word AVOID .

I bought a car from carshop Warrington in November 19 and four weeks later the clutch went, they recluntantly repaired it. I booked my MOT back in July for September 17th knowing it ran out on the 18th,I took time of work to attended my appointment only to be told they had cancelled it with no warning, the snotty girl behind the desk said she could book me in for October?,really??,a month later so how am I supposed to use the car??? After several calls I agreed to leave the car over the weekend to get an MOT.I recieved a call the next day to say my car had failed and I would need to pay £212 to get it repaired, front pads and disc!!!.....these last at least 3years on a car not 7 month, the car has only done 6,000 miles!!!. So in a nut shell they sold me a car with a dodgy clutch and dodgy brakes and couldn't give a monkey's about it!! My advice STAY AWAY!!! REALLY BAD COMPANY AND SERVICE !!!!
