A BIG LET DOWN. Bought a car January 2019, whilst test driving the car the front brake pads warning light appeared. Car shop Northampton stated that they will fit new brake pads and the car will be ready in a few days. Recieved the car after a few days. Took the car to Audi for a health check after a few weeks of purchase. Audi discovered that non genuine front brake pads were fitted AND the Front brake pads warning light, warning wire was removed, part of the loom had been cut down and the circuit had been bridged out so that the warning light will not come on. Did carshop technicians remove the warning wire to prevent the warning light coming on due to non genuine brake pads fitted? If carshop Northampton technicians did not remove the warning wire then why did they not pick up on this dangerous fault when the new front brake pads were fitted before handing it over to me. Any repair works done by Carshop Northampton technicians, please get them rechecked and retested by a reliable car dealership. Do not trust this company. A few weeks after the purchase of the vehicle, I also realised that the car was consuming high levels of oil. Therefore, took the car back to Carshop Northamptom, they did their diagnostics and stated that it's fine. Thereafter, took it to Audi and after their diagnostics, they stated that the pistons and piston rings needed replacing. In other words, a rebuild of the engine. A job that costs about £6000. Why did Carshop Northampton fail to diagnose such a huge fault? Wouldnt be buying from carshop again. Full of disappointments. Please think twice before purchasing a vehicle from carshop.

Thieves been waiting over a month for a refund

My son purchased his car from this shambolic business. Trying to get someone to return calls or reply to emails is impossible. We have been waiting for the elusive Thomas Axon, ironically the Brand Experience Manager to return our calls for WEEKS. Nothing. So I can categorically say the experience we are currently encountering is abysmal. By contrast we have just purchased a car for my daughter from a local business. Far better experience and service all round. Avoid CarShop is my advice. I'd have given zero stars if there was an option. But there wasn't so begrudingly they got 1.

Do not buy a car here! My car developed a fault with the engine in the first 6 months, they have dragged their feet at every chance to resolve the issue. They even went as far as trying to blame me for the issue. They have had my car for over 90 days now and are still trying to "fix" it. They never answer phones or email and avoid questions all the time. Buy a car from somewhere else!

Paid £99 to reserve a vehicle. Was told it would take 2 weeks to arrive. After me calling them countless times for a month and being told the car was in the prep centre, I was finally told that the car was reserved for someone else after they took my money from me. I was told there wasn't much they could do. After a long conversation saying how unfair this situation was and that I had paid first, they said they would contact the person and tell them of the error and that I would need to wait for them to call me when the car arrives. I called on 11/11 as still hadn't heard anything and was worried about the time I had waited for this car. By this time, I saw on their website that the car was showing as sold so I had a feeling the same had happened again. Surprise surprise, they had sold the car to someone without even contacting me at all whilst holding on to my money. I was so upset by this and told them I wanted a refund. Over a week later, still no refund. I've never been treated this bad by a supposedly reputable company. Absolutely disgusting service. I honestly would pay the extra and go elsewhere. Don't part with your money as you wont get it back!

I questioned one of the staff with regard to the service history and previous ownership of the vehicle I was about to place a holding deposit on I also questioned the mileage as the advert stated 15,00 miles but the photo showed 11,078 miles - the lady said it must have been a mistake and the photo must be the correct mileage She took my details and said someone would come back to me regarding ownership & service history Later on Monday evening one of Car Shop representatives called to check when I intended to come down to view the car - I told him Wednesday - he said Wednesday was good because the car was being used by one of their managers who would be on site on Wednesday I questioned him about the previous ownership - he said it would be Car Shop as it was a company vehicle I enquired about service history he said it will have been serviced as per Land Rover recommendations I asked him to confirm the mileage - he said the 15,000 miles would be correct as the car was in use and would have increased since the pictures were taken On Wednesday I set off from home at 5:30am and arrived at Car Sop at 9:15 I then had to wait until 11:00am to view the car - no one apologised for the delay At 11:00 am I went outside to view the car - I was told it needed a new front bumper and a headlamp due to a bird strike and that it also required a service The representative then told me that the actual mileage was 25,500 miles not 15,000 as stated in the advert I travelled more than 360 miles to view the car - I had completely wasted a full day of my time I made three calls during the day and each time I was told that someone would call me back but still nothing I have put 360 + miles on my current Range Rover for no reason - used £80 + in fuel for no reason - and spent a full day of my time for no reason Car Shop have made no attempt to apologise or offer any form of reimbursement for my losses The whole experience failed by a long way to meet the expectations of a company of this size I then emailed the sales manager who never even replied I genuinely do not understand how they survive on such a big scale when they have no regard for customers

Even though the vehicle they sold is faulty - They don't reply to phone calls (you are just kept waiting......) - Warranty simply means we'll get around to it at some point in the distant future..... - They take the car in and then you hear nothing for weeks. - There is no courtesy car offered - No form of compensation for their faulty product. - Amateur mechanics incapable of fixing your car properly. - Cancellation is near impossible once you sign. I recently purchased a 1 year old vehicle from CarShop and from the beginning I've had problems, took it back and they told me to leave it with them for a couple of days. They told me they'd call me, which never happened. I had to constantly ring up to find out what's going on with my vehicle. It's now weeks later and they still have no idea when i'll be able to collect my vehicle, the mechanics they use seem to be incapable of fixing a simple problem and CarShop doesn't seem to care either. They know cancellation is a nightmare so they don't really care about customers after you've signed. Hoping this review may prevent someone else from making the same mistake I did. Just go somewhere else and save yourself this hassle.

Reserved an Audi Q3 (took a month to prepare but was not the branches) After the long wait, I was coming to a point of hating Car Shop and after viewing the recent reviews I had my doubts .... but Radu saved the day! I received a call confirming the vehicle had arrived the Northampton branch. Upon arrival I was greeted by a warm welcoming Senior Sales consultant named Radu. He was very polite and helpful during the whole customer journey experience. Explained the process of what to expect and the next processes i.e. test drive, negotiation (as I was trading in my vehicle), etc. He took care of me and gave me the reassurance I was in safe hands. I also had meet the branch manager Alex who was also welcoming and sympathised for my long wait of vehicle delivery. THANK YOU VERY MUCH NORTHAMPTON BRANCH! I definitely recommend to buy from Car Shop (especially from Radu!) Word of advice - it's not the branches fault if the vehicle is delayed, this is down to the communication between contact centres & branches. Granted, communication is something which is lacking but for service wise they've got this in the bag!

Carshop Waste of time so called guaranteed online valuation! Carshop - I'd give a 0 star if I could. What a scam! Tried to sell my car to your Wakefield store and it was a complete waste of time! I did your online valuation, entered all the details accurately and correctly, got a 'guaranteed' price. Went ahead and phoned the store to book an appointment to get it dealt with, got all the necessary paperwork, I.D. etc and set off on the day. 25 minutes journey it took me (one way) only to get there and be told that my so called 'guaranteed valuation' of £510 was now actually down-valued to £100 - take off your admin fee of £50 that would leave me with yep you guessed it a whopping £50. 50 minutes of driving time and fuel wasted and another family member who was due to collect me after I'd 'sold' the car was inconvenienced. What is the point of doing an online valuation if it means so little with regard the actual price you get offered!! I expected a down value of some kind but 80% is just total BS. Very very disappointed and annoyed at the wasted time. Needless to say I did not sell my car to the store. Total waste of time. Remove your online valuation tool if you can not stand by your so called guaranteed online valuation – and yes I am aware that the valuation is subject to terms and conditions – that is just a get out clause that you hide behind. The online tool is completely useless and a total waste of hardworking people’s time if it cannot offer a price anywhere near the actual offer price! What a con. You need to seriously review your practice with that online valuation tool.

Overview Reviews About CarShopReviews 20,591  •  Excellent www.carshop.co.uk Still waiting ......... Reserved an Audi Q3 over a month ago and it's still "being prepped" It had a safety recall which seems to be resolved as per GOV website no one is taking ownership where the vehicle is! I've spoken to Carshop contact centre & Northampton branch at least 10 times collective but still no clear response. One of the Northampton staff member even pretended to be the branch manager and promised to give me a call back. I've very disappointed and disgusted the way I've been treated. There is no communication process and neither a complaints department to contact. I don't understand how a big company as CarShop delivers poor service. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND FIXED ASAP!!!!!
