I have purchased 2 cars in the last 8 weeks from the Hillington Car Store. One had a squeak which I was eventually told was normal by Ross but sorted by Alistair. Within 7 miles of the showroom the Tyre pressure warning light came on. The car was in and out for 3 weeks while I ran about in a small courtesy car. If I had wanted a small car I would have purchased one. The second car I arranged to pick my car up at midday and was running 15 minutes late,my car was not in the showroom and at 12:30 it was brought in while I was sitting and a sheet put over to hide the car. I was then asked to pull the sheet off to reveal the car I had seen coming in ( very poor customer service) they had been away for fuel and had been waiting for the private plates to be fitted despite them arranging the appointment. I got a flat tyre 3 days after buying the second car and I had to call the RAC to change the wheel as the wheel brace to change the tyre was that worn it was too big for the nuts. I am still waiting for the SD card for the Sat Nav which is not working despite working at the test drive. They are not good at returning calls and despite asking for the number for Customer Services on several occasion I have still to receive it. Nicola was our Sales Advisor and we received an exceptional service from her. I asked to be left to look around the showroom without anyone pushing for a sale. Nicola let us look around and kept in touch every so often which I liked. I requested a few things on each car to be rectified before I came to pick them up and this was done perfectly. The service and help from Nicola was 10/10 so much so when I went to purchase my second car I would only deal with Nicola.

Perfect service by salesman but the gentleman that deals with trade in values offered horrendous price for car that I was trading in and tried to tell me that there was problems with it when I know there was none. Having served over 9years in the motor trade and the fact the car was only 18months old I was well aware of the cars value and state.Had we not wanted the car we bought then I would of happily walked away. for a family business that wants to attract customers back based on the best value and not solely financial gain, a £2000 difference between trade in and resale cost shows me that it is indeed just a money based business. New car came with one key, (promised 2) and it seems that the full service history etc is lies as only one stamp in the service book, not to mention the multipoint check, soft tyres on collection, rattling exhaust shield, grinding brakes on rear and SRS light came on within 1st week. £15300 in the bank, get the car out the door as quick as possible it seems

I had an unfortunate experience its a long story . Involving delays lost paperwork damage to the car no follow up by certain departments . The good part is the car is good and Pauline Barr was very good and helpful . Plus your boxes below will not allow me to enter no to. The questions

The full terms of the finance agreement were not explained. All I was told at the time of buying the car was what the monthly payment would be. I was told that it was HP and so therefore I assumed that the vehicle would become mine by the end of the agreement. When the paperwork arrived from the finance company it seems that while it is HP there is also a large balloon payment at the end, so in fact it’s a PCP.

The car I was interested in and bought was unprepped. This led to issues the store could have handled much better despite the proactive intervention of the salesman. Had the car been prepped before being advertised my experience would have been different.

I was robbed and told lies to over my part exchange. To give me less money for it! Quote "your car is to old and has to many miles on it's clock to sell in our store, so we can only give you what BCA will give us ". Low and behold 7 days later my car is for sale on the Vardy website for £2,099 more than I was paid! Cheated?

Having traded in my vehicle and completing the purchase of my new car (up to the vehicle taxing stage) I was then informed that there was no V5 for the vehicle. That itself was not the problem; staff on the day (Jamie) dealt with the situation very well (including taken my wife and I to the train station and PV funded tickets back to York). It was the after care service waiting for the V5 to arrive (taking 1 month!) and for the vehicle to be delivered that was very poor. Again, despite Jamie's best efforts and good communication with me others (i.e. S Cummings) within PV did not have the same focus towards customer care despite the situation being created 100% by PV. Very poor communication... is it the customers’ responsibility to chase the supplier for updates despite being promised daily calls?! Missed deadlines / hollow commitments.... is it the customers’ responsibility to chase the supplier for the hire car (and refund of) that they were promised?! Ultimately the vehicle was delivered to me one month after purchase. Whilst not ideal I still would not have been disappointed with PV's service had PV not failed so badly with their interim support. When the V5 was eventually received the delivery service and driver were good. A shame really that what should have been a good shopping experience (the business model could/should work well) was tarnished by something as simple as communication.....

I would like to to be able to leave a decent review, but so far my Peter Vardy experience has not been very positive, I do not have the car as yet, and I am considering cancelling the deal, we arrived to collect the car on Tuesday and while a couple of our concerns had been fixed another few had been created to replace those. The bonnet and front wing of the car had quite a number of specks of white paint on it which the staff said would probably polish out our other concern was a light on the dash, regarding this we were given two options, which were to take the car to Hyundai ourselves or we could bring it back to yourselves at some point and you would take it neither suitable when purchasing a 1 year old car. I really should have left the showroom at the begining of the sales spiel as there was 2 different prices on the car one which was £12799 and £12999 on questioning this I was informed the more expensive was the correct price. which makes me wonder if you have a weekend price hike as when we called into the showroom on Monday there was another Hyundai on display with two different prices on display. I will finish this review by saying the staff were supposed to call me at 11 am this morning to let me know if all the faults have been fixed, and as I am typing this review I have just this second received the 11 am call at 16.05 so I am not feeling the Peter Vardy experience

This is the 2nd car we have purchased from you in 2 years and we returned because of the very good experience we had 1st time round. We were pleased with the same service until it came to picking the car up and yur staff could not pair up my mobile via bluetooth and after 1 hour were asked to return another day and have this done. on returning a week later your customer service personell Caitlin was very efficient and soon had the enginer with me and went to the vehicle where he tried in vein to connect our mobile. It clearly states on th machine 'BLUETOOTH' and when sold to us we distinctly asked this question as it's important to us to have this function and were told it would be done. Your egineer confirmed that the 'BLUETOOTH' function was for music only and that this model would not pair up a mobile phone. We were told specifically that we have bluetooth with this car, which is not true. Since then we have now had a further 3 emails from your company offering FREE PETROL FOR A YEAR if we change, this deal started the week following our purchase we understand that, but it grates with us that not only did we not recieve what we were promised, but, it seems, that others are recieving additional goods on top of their purchase and wish we had not changed our car when we did and definately will have to consider buying from you in future. I will now have to buy a plug in device to allow hands free which I should not have to do.

Buying my car was a wonderful experience & I was assured that all the work needing done to it to put it in top condition would be carried out before the handover. The scratches & chips in the paintwork were to be touched up & there was a chip on the windscreen to be repaired. On the day of collection I had to wait a short while as they were still doing the MOT,this was not a problem but when I got it home my husband notices two bulges on the front tyre & the windscreen had not been repaired even though I ask about this & was told it had been. My concern is why did it pass the MOT with a bulging tyre. The paintwork still had the chips & scratches on it. These things were put right & the staff were very helpful but as I have stated this work was supposed to be completed before it was handed over to me. What started off as a great experience went down hill rapidly . I must add that I do love my car so I am happy about that.

Looked at the car in the show room, pointed out a dent, scratch on back bumper, on 15th April 2016, they said if I bought the car that day it would be fixed on the 16th April, so I paid cash for the car, returned the next day to collect it and nothing was done, they said if I took it someone would call me on the Monday, 18th April, no one called, so I had to call the next day, a guy came out to fix the dent, and said I'd need to take the car back in for the scratch to be seen, the mechanic/painter looked at it and said the car would need to be booked in for a resprey, booked it in for the 10th may, Inbetween that I heard a clicking noise and had to take the car back in, mechanic said the problem was the tyres on the front of the car, so they said they would replace the front 2 tyres but they would only put £40 tyres on it, 21k merc? So I put new £139 tyres on it and got 80 quid back from them, while I was in ATS tyres they told me the tracking was also needing done! Vardy fixed all the problems, the car was not in showroom condition so why have it out on the showroom? I buy a new car about the 20k value every year, will I be back at vardy, doubt it. Best people in vardy where the after sales people, who I guess are used to dealing with front on the house problems.

I bought a Vauxhall antara and when I got home noticed there was no parcel shelf. I returned to the car store and was informed that one would be ordered for me. Two weeks later I went to the car store at Hillington to be presented with a dirty parcel shelf that one of the staff found in the parts department. I explained that I was not willing to accept it in that condition. I was informed that this was the only one available and that staff member felt it was acceptable. Another staff member called Steve said that parcel shelves do not come as standard with the car and offered to get the dirty parcel shelf valetedfor me. He told me if this was not acceptable I could wait till another Antara came in and he would give me the parcel shelf from this car. I am extremely disappointed with the after sales team at Peter Vardy Hillington and would recommend that people do not purchase their vehicles from this car store.

Car broke down within hours of picking up, lay in driveway for 5 days with attempts by outside contract mechanics to fix with no avail. communication from hillington poor, complaint raised with head office. service manager got involved finally car finally repaired. plus side very happy with the way the car was presented for its age and work done that was promised. service manager was very helpful and car was finally fixed. overall dont think I would buy another car from the car store.

Employees were pleasant but mucked me about. I live over 140 miles away and had to come back to the store several times with different problems. I purchased my car over 4 weeks ago and I am still waiting on the second set of keys. I traded in my old car for the new one, they said they would only earn £300 profit on the old car but they actually earned £1200.
