The ap for the charger keeps resetting the schedules, and doesn't always recognise the charger is connected. There is no way of downloading the charging data, which is important for business users. Overall not very satisfied at all.

The actual charger seems to work very well. However the installation process can be tricky and in our case demanded a whole day of an engineers time to adequately earth the apparatus. The consequences of this were a lot of clearing up left for us to do afterwards.

Excellent service - the engineer who came to survey and then later install the unit came very promptly both times and did a very neat job. The unit itself is neat and sits on the wall of my garage out of the way. I’ve now had my new car for a week and the unit is easy to use - very pleased. The process of authorising BP Chargemaster to claim the grant on my behalf was really easy too.

The actual installation was carried out efficiently and the home charger works well. How ever we were not able to have the unit installed in our preferred location due to technical constraints Requiring a longer charging cable to be purchased.. Important therefore that careful thought Needed when deciding on ‘siting’ of charging unit. The Smartcharge app is a bit basic and have not had the confidence in its reliability to set up any charging schedules.

Had the home charge point installed very promptly after my paperwork was sorted. There was an additional charge of £50 as I had no spare slots in my fusebox so an additional box was also installed for the charge point. The installer arrived at the time and day agreed and walked me through the process. A few concerns from me as to the installation of the earth rod but I was informed this could be moved to somewhere else and less visible. A few hours later, everything was up and running except the smart element, which the installer told me may take a day. I received my car about a month later and have used the charger 3 times. I have had no issues with the charging and have scheduled it with the car as opposed to the smart charger itself. The charger itself does talk to the app and has given me the readouts of my charging history, which seems to correctly record the information. I went with a tethered unit, as the cable is a tiny bit longer than normal cables and after a day of rain, I was happier to wind the cable around the charger than put it in my boot

The engineer was running out of time and so left me with the IP number to cue into my phone as an app. This was to make use of the special electric car electricity rate by charging at night. Unfortunately, the number is not being accepted and so I have to wait until the lockdown is over in order to make use of this phone facility, as no engineers are available now.

My home charger works well but the app could be improved so that you can get historical charge data for a specific date range and be able to export as a file. This can currently only be done via the web portal.

Excellent helpful customer service from Aga and her colleagues. The installation was carried out by Duncan, who was friendly, professional and very helpful. Everything was explained carefully and I was encouraged to contact Chargemaster for any further help. An excellent team!

Fitter drilled through to the wrong room. Instructions very poor. How do you timer charge an MG ZS EV with the app?

Well Aneka Sheraz was great so help full and put every effort into the service she gave me every think went to palan. Please sed her my very best wishes I will send the box of choc's when things are back to normal. Also the Service Tec Guy he did a first class job in installing my charger first class service all round. I would also like to thank very one at BP Charge master.
