A very long and painful process that was not clear in what was needed to be completed

It took nine weeks since letting BP Chargemaster know I was picking up my car and needed the chargepoint fitted for this to be sorted. First date arranged (for which I cancelled my family birthday celebration) no-one arrived; second date arranged, fitter arrived, said I needed to get the power to my garage increased and left without giving me any advice as to who might help me with it; third fitter (the previously mentioned Glen Noulton) was brilliant and confirmed nothing needed to be changed re: the power supply in my garage as I could have a lower input charger and fitted the chargepoint in three hours. So, having had my car for eight weeks; only driving 400 miles in it because I had no means of charging it at home; and two shops in a supermarket I don't usually use, just to charge my car up, I am now in the position I should have been in seven weeks ago. While some staff were very helpful, notably Belinda Sheringham, along with Glen Noulton, and, once up to speed, Elaine Butler, others have not. While not wishing to name them publicly, I have written to BP Chargemaster outlining my concerns in greater detail. Bearing in mind the installation of chargepoints will only increase in the future BP need to make sure all its staff step up to the level of service given by those mentioned above.

Good installation, but I am having ongoing issues with unit tripping out on voltage monitoring causing loud thumps as the contractor engages and disengaged. I also am having issues programming a tarrif based charging time. Seems to be inconsistent, works some days and then not the next. This is very frustrating.

Unit is neat and well installed, but installation agent was not the best. Turned up early despite a defined slot being confirmed, immediately asked to use the toilet (in a global pandemic!), insisted on our car being moved off the drive so he didn't have to walk 10 paces to his van right outside our house for a few tools. Was happy when he left frankly.

Absolutely appalling. Installer didn't clean up. BMW charger installed, not working properly. left several messages over a period of days and no return phone call. Every time you ring, long wait for call to be answered up to 40mins, knowing that you will leave another message to be ignored. Don't deserve to hold the importance they seem to think they have. After 2 weeks of chasing now moving forward, but still not fixed. Definitely NOT a recommended installer, avoid at all costs.

The gentleman who fitted the charger arrived promptly and made an excellent job of installing the unit, all cables hidden and cleaned up prior to leaving. The charger is unobtrusive and it is so easy to charge my car.

Difficult to get hold of in arranging installation, and to get clarity on what we needed to do to our distribution unit. Installation itself was straight forward and the charger works well. Not impressed by’charge your car’, which I believe is run by Chargemaster. About half their chargers we tried to use in Scotland last week, had issues, and often customer service line unanswered.

The charging point was installed as scheduled and looks very good with the wiring very neatly run to the consumer unit. Overall, an excellent installation process.

The whole application process was overly complicated and very stressful. Made more so because of the grant application attached to the installation. The actual installation was done by a very competent and helpful electrician which did a lot to restore our faith. Without this it would have been zero stars.
