The mechanic they matched my requirements with charged me £389.16 for the job that he didn't do! ClickMechanic aren't interested when customers have a problem! As a result of the work not having been done I took the car to the dealership I bought the car from, they did the job at a cost of £499 and gave me the old parts as proof the job had now been done by them. ClickMechanic have shown no interest in resolving this issue or accepted that they have some responsibility. Below is their standard response to complaints. "Reply from ClickMechanic Sep 4, 2024 Hi Alan, I'm sorry to learn of your unhappiness with us. It's important to understand we (ClickMechanic) are a third-party marketplace only. All mechanics trading on our network are independent and are not employed by us. Your contract of works for the auto services provided is with your mechanic and not ourselves and the same is true regarding payment and any applicable warranty. Please note, ClickMechanic does neither recommend or endorse any mechanic trading on our network. We expect all mechanics trading on our network to adhere to our performance criteria and if not, then we have a set of improvement measures to effectively manage that accordingly. In the event of any subsequent dispute between customer and mechanic, as the third-party marketplace, we have an in-house resolutions centre where we can help mediate towards a swift and amicable resolution, wherever possible. We can see you have engaged there directly with your mechanic, so we would encourage you to continue this line of communication for effective and swift resolution with your mechanic and where we can best assist if further intervention is required. Kind regards," I have attached the receipt from the person who scammed me, the invoice from the dealership that did the job plus a photo of the belt removed by the dealership

I booked a repair on my Astra for a snapped fan belt and tensioner and the Mechanic never showed so I had to book into a hotel and incur an expense. He eventuallty came the following morning and the company refuses to reimburse me for my expense along with £200 labour cost which was for a 30 minute easy swap in swap out job. £370 parts and labour and my £70 hotel bill. Clickmechanic is unethical and takes no responsibility for its mechanics "no shows" or mess ups. My adviced is Ombudsman and small claims court all the way..zero stars!!

With general inspection to charge me £117 which I already knew I had squeaky alternator belt and hole in exhaust £586 on top to fit on small Honda jazz, absolute rip off and it's not the mechanics they are taking most of the mechanic money. I won't use again probably would have saved £200 to £300 in a garage the advert claims to be cheaper than franchise garages untrue.

Cancellations. The cancellation policy isn’t clearly stated before you book the job which i find disingenuous. The one hour ultimatum given to respond to an email after a mechanic accepts the job is an absolute joke, considering you may have already had to wait days to actually get a mechanic to accept. That’s being more money-centric, than customer focused. This appears to be calculated, and veers towards a strategy to make monies through cancellations. Moreover, charging £20 to £40. It’s all nicely hidden in the T&Cs, and included in the email after booking is accepted by the mech, whereas I have looked through the ‘how it works’ part on the website, and it is not included there. At the time the email came through for me, I was dealing with a medical situation regarding my child, hence didn’t even see the email till later that night after the mechanic texted me. I had explained my situation to the mechanic, and advised I’d have to reschedule because I had to take my child to the hospital. The mechanic asked if I’d want to cancel, and I agreed to that. Afterwards, I get a message from the mechanic asking to make £20 available due to cancellation. Mind you, same mechanic had asked to reschedule to a later day in an earlier message via the website platform. Payment Process. You are told you’d only be charged after the work has been completed. However, click mechanic made attempts to deduct funds from my bank account, even before a mechanic had accepted the job, which I was not happy with, although I understand how that system works. I usually leave little funds in the bank account, and only transfer funds to it to pay for services, hence these attempts at withdrawals made me sceptical about the process. It’s mostly about the money it appears, and for a first time user of the service, not a good experience. I was not happy mostly with the cancellation policy, as I felt it was just very crafty, so I sought a quote from a different site. I was quoted roughly £127 for a gearbox oil change on click mechanic site, who eventually took £20 from me for cancellation keeps, whereas the same job was done for £56 by an approved garage. There’s better alternatives. I have got services through who can fix my car website in the past, and they are more transparent in their dealings. I would not recommend click mechanic.

Appalling, the car was picked up late, and returned by the mechanic NINE AND A HALF HOURS later. The job was supposed to take 3-4 hours. no discount for the excessive delay was offered. The car came back with numerous faults that were not present when the car was booked in, some of which could have easily caused a fatal crash on departure from Merthyr Tydfil home to surrey. Chris the mechanic has lied openly throughout this process and put lives in danger. To make matters worse clickmechanic refuse to help in any meaningful way despite giving them full details of the problems i've had with the car and with the mechanic providing false details on the receipt provided. I would avoid clickmechanic at all costs, a simple clutch replacement that was £255 turned into over £600 worth of damages to a rover 25 which was otherwise in good condition prior to the mechanic getting his hands on it.

I don't even want to give the mechanic a 1 as he left our car still not working and with bits not done up. Parts of the engine not done up. We have video proof from another mechanic .Do not let PAWAL near your car. That is his name . DO NOT. We have kids he should not be allowed to work on cars. Total misconduct. We are going to a solicitor .

ClickMechanic - supposed vetted and qualified mechanics. I'm disabled and needed a new clutch fitted. The mechanic "Hassan" supposedly changed the clutch and release bearing. 🤣. His "driver" delivered my car - to my neighbours address. I got the "driver" to move the car. A video taken shows the bloke struggling with an obvious slipping clutch. Absolutely disgusting service. Nearside drive shaft not fitted properly, gearbox oil leaking, clutch system not bled.

would give minus 100 if a could. They state they verify mechanics, they do not, I was given BULK BAIG, which turns out to 44 miles away, they were a nightmare from the word go, I had service & MOT, but failed MOT and had no choice vut to go with them for repair. They put two dents in car, said it not their fault but delivery driver!!!!!, who cares it damaged in BULKBAIGS possession, eventually agreed to repair dents. When I got it back it was really horrendous, theyused wrong colour paint, there are many drips over the whole door, bubbles and they even spread the wrong colour over whole side without actually going to edges to try and hide the wrong colour, they have damaged the wing, and so much more, they will not talk to me. got a report from garage and damage will cost £4650 to repair as will have to take back to metal, I had another garage look at underneath and they had not done some of the promised work, and the work they had done would fail MOT, but BULK BAIG say it passed. So have MOT guy in their pocket CLICK MECHANIC, not interested, they say they only introduce the mechanic, and to look at terms and conditions. So CLICK MECHANIC, do not verify the mechanics, and do not care when things go wrong. BULK BAIG is actually a grocery business, shut down two years ago by compulsory order in companies house.

What a great experience with Clickmechanic. I had my car repaired in a short time and in a cost effective manner. The mechanic, Kalim of Cosmic is an amazing, friendly and understanding fellow to work with, I don't regret meeting you. Please, keep the great job up. You're really doing great. Thank you.

I paid ClickMechanic £329 for an oil and filter change and a DPF clean and regeneration. SAS Steering Alignment was assigned the job. After the mechanic did the job, he made a point of telling me the clean and regeneration of the DPF would probably not work and if the warning light came back on, I would need a new DPF at a cost of over a thousand pounds. Guess what within 5 days the warning light came back on. The mechanic (SAS Steering Alignment) that did the job was not interested in helping in any way and pointed to what I was told after the job was done, that I needed a new DPF. Raised a complaint with ClickMechanic, who echoed what the mechanic said and pointed out it was my fault and I should have paid for a diagnostic check from ClickMechanic as it would have shown I needed a new DPF. As Clickmechanic and SAS Steering Alignment were not interested in fixing the problem unless I spent over a thousand pounds, I took the car to a local garage who put the car under their diagnostics and said the regeneration had not been completed correctly. They completed the second part of the regeneration on my car and the DPF light went out. No need for a new DPF. Raised a second complaint with ClickMechanic, the complaint got shut down and nothing was resolved. This cost me another £48 to fix Clickmechanic and SAS Steering Alignment mistakes. By this point I had suspicions that Clickmechanic and SAS Steering Alignment were trying to get me to pay for something that was not needed. When a friend told me he now worked for a company that only cleans DPFs and offered to put it through his diagnostic tool, I accepted. As it turned out the DPF cleaner had not been put in my car or if it had been it was not put in correctly. He gave me a report to back this up. If the DPF had been cleaned the ‘DPF Difference Pressure Sensor’ would be below 10 hPa, mine was 35 hPa. To date neither Clickmechanic or SAS Steering Alignment are interested in giving me my money back even though the DPF Regeneration was not done correctly and there was no sign of a cleaner being put into my car. They just want me to give them another thousand pounds for a new DPF, even though this is not needed.

Initial repair service was good. Any warranty support from Clickmechanic when the mechanic doesn't respond is dismal. Had a repair done less than 6 months ago which has started to fail, asked for support from the mechanic with no response 2 weeks later Clickmechanic got involved and said 'we are a third party marketplace' and offered no further support then to keep trying to contact the mechanic that they offered on their platform! Better off going to a mechanic yourself and cutting out the middleman as Clickmechanic offers no safety net when things go wrong later down the road!
