John from Contego is an absolute superstar and a complete professional. He managed to solve a rat problem that we have had for 3 years running - the only person to actually find the source of the issue and find a real fix to the problem. He was incredibly thorough, calm and reassuring throughout - and his and Contego's ethos and root cause analysis was applied brilliantly to solve this issue. I can't recommend John and Contego more highly! Thank you!

Excellent service provided by Simon Barraclough. Simon was knowledgeable, polite and re-assuring. I would definitely recommend the company and especially Simon. The call out was via an insurance claim, so we dealt entirely with Simon on a one on one basis, and he did exactly what he promised which I must admit was refreshing.

Outstanding, exceptional and altruistic service from Matthew Fisher of Contego Response!!! Matthew provided me with continuous updated information during each visit. Awful experience with this company. Sadly zero stars was not allowed. Booked via my insurance company to fix a wasps nest. Came out and were here less than 8 minutes. No prior site information given to us before attendance and no information left about the products used and what we should or should not do with pets in our household. After a week, wasp activity had not reduced so they were booked to attend again. It was a Friday and just before 4pm nobody had turned up so we rang the office. "He left 20 minutes ago and will be with you soon". It got to after 5pm and nobody turned up. By now the phone lines were closed. A wasted day of annual leave taken. Left voice mail to ask for a call back with an explanation. Received nothing. Turned up at my house today unexpectedly. We asked for SDS sheets and COSHH data. We were told that he has no access to this and we would need to speak to our insurance company. That's a breach of health and safety law. This company are shocking and couldn't care less about customers, their safety or their time. Avoid if you can.

Simon was absolutely fantastic. He took the time to explain everything he was doing and the reasons behind his actions, which greatly enhanced my understanding of the process. His knowledge in the subject matter was evident and very impressive. Additionally, Simon's incredibly friendly demeanor made the entire experience pleasant and comfortable.

Simon came to my property on three occasions to deal with a rat problem in the garden. He was very approachable, really easy to talk to and very reassuring. The poison he put out was phenomenal and starting working immediately and for that I am very grateful.

Contego sent Matthew Fisher to sort our rat infestation out, over the three visits Matt keep use fully up to date with what he found and what action he had taken, over the visits 5 rats were caught. he recommends that Anchor get a drain survey as he suspects thats how the rats are getting in As for Matt the way he carried out his work, his politeness and professionalism is second to none. I would recommend him to anyone.

I recently had a persistent mouse problem and after a disappointing experience with another company, I was sent Matthew Fisher from Contego Response. From the moment he arrived, it was clear that Matthew was a true professional. His friendly demeanor and great mannerisms instantly put me at ease. He was incredibly informative, taking the time to explain the situation and the steps he would take to address it. Matthew’s dedication was evident in the time and effort he put into solving the problem. He didn’t rush the job and made sure every possible entry point was thoroughly checked and sealed. His attention to detail and commitment to quality work were impressive. Unlike the previous engineer, Matthew ensured that all my concerns were addressed and didn’t leave until he was confident the problem was resolved. I can’t recommend Matthew highly enough. His exceptional service and genuine desire to help were greatly appreciated. If you’re dealing with a pest issue, do yourself a favor and call Contego Respone and ask for Matthew—you won’t be disappointed!

Mathew Fisher is a GOD-SEND , he has gone above and beyond in all aspects to help us resolve out squirrel issue. First had an issue with squirrels in my roof in February, after going privately numerous times and to no avail we had to have an entire new roof done. 2 weeks later the squirrels found their way back in so we decided to go through insurance. After weeks of sleepless nights, Mathew was sent via Contego, not only is he polite and a joy to speak to he is very knowledgeable in his work. Matthew has managed to catch two squirrels and give us the best advice and aid into helping proof the house. Need I say the squirrel had made new entry points each time. It was a long trial but the customer service and satisfaction is 100%, absolutely exceptional, Mathews approach in his guidance and his advice has always been effective. Always taking plenty of photographs showing what he has done and keeping us well informed on the next steps into dealing with the issue. We have potentially one last squirrel left to catch and now that all entry points have been sealed due to Mathews expertise and commitment I really hope this is the last of it. Always been full of banter and a joy, even though it was so stressful and he seen how tired I was due to sleepless nights (due to heavy squirrel activity) he always was so reassuring as to never giving up and going the extra mile to help resolve our issue. So very thankful to him, we wouldn’t have been able to resolve this nightmare without him. He deserves all the recognition and praise, more than happy to provide further feedback as a reference in order for Matthew get promoted further in his line of work because he DESERVES it! Forever GRATEFUL and indebted to him!

Mathew Fisher came out to me (after we booked through the insurance) and the situation was pleasant as soon as we had him on site [at our home]. Mathew's first task was to go around the house to look for all areas of entry, something that could have taken a lazy person 5 to 10minutes, however instead he was super thorough going through everything. This was super reassuring to know that we didn't have a jobsworth but someone that actually cared. Such reassurance really is everything in these circumstances (especially when you're scared *another* mouse might crawl over you whilst sleeping. I'd recommend Mathew from contego anyday in the hope that you don't ever need them :) Even just for the reassurance, such a service is well worth it.

Worst experience in a life time. Not professional attitude nor success to their forced-entry heat treatment with cheap equipments doing a fake time wasting job. This company has a contract with a housing association force treat tenants in the most dehumanised way. If there was an option I would attach a photo, the way they handle the job. They have no basic knowledge to deal with bedbug. Dropping infested items from the infested unit in the backyard by the walls of other units. They hide the problem from other units for almost a year instead of warning and preventing measures such as filling the so many gaps and cracks on the floor boards and walls. Their so called professional in Edinburgh branch had no idea what is a mattress encasement. They did not introduced DE to the infested unit neighbouring units most probably not even the infested one. A mess for such a long time in 11 units occupied by only 1 person in each meaning if only they would keep their bed away from the walls since a year or 2 year ago - they hid when they came to rescue us! - using DE, sealing gaps, cracks and holes the problem would be long gone. But they didnt! We other units were forced boil washing items! lots of other hard tasks and being forced by the so un-success heat treat! Every unit with the bug has the bug! They forced this to all flats by a god knows what science! Their heat machine was a gasoline burner with no heat measurement device. They burnt all 3 fire alarm and half part of wall paper on the ceiling the other part was a cold spot! The house is made of hard brick and old thick wood any way! The building has an old ventilating system between the ceilings meaning there are always air flow, even if the burn all the inside walls will stay cold. Now they are introducing forced very serious fatal chemical to all units even the clear ones as they discover this? Or their failed heat treat proved it right? Still gaps between the wall of the infested unit and the one next to it. They may get a better profit by not fixing the problem but making it big. having 11 units instead of 1? We the tenants of social housing are under these company full power, we have no say! They do this made up decisions such as showering my clean new belongings with liquid poison with out a need of my permit. As a human living in a housing association I have no right to tell them do not touch my very own belonging, do not use my toilet when you forced me to put my edible into the bath tub for the fake, failed, cheap heat treat. I have much more to say. I feel a need to have solicitor to prove to the so called pro company the poor are not their Guinea pig.

Simon Barraclough came out for the first and third visit to deal with the appearance of a rat/s in my kitchen - his colleague came for the second visit. Both of them were very professional and reassuring. Their expertise in tracing where the creatures were getting in and the thoroughness in dealing with the situation was very much appreciated. They carried out their work with cheerfulness and a very positive attitude - which has not always been the case when we've had a rat problem before. Thank you very much.

A big thank you to Lewis we had a rat infestation in our loft, he has been very helpful answering all my questions, he knew how unsettled I was living in property and would always give me the reassurance I needed. Every week when he visited he would talk us through the next stages. I can now say fingers crossed the rat problem has been solved!! Thank you Lewis for doing a fantastic job!

Contego has (fingers crossed!) solved our rat problem, all thanks to Andrew. We’ve had several different pest control companies to investigate the infestation, but Andrew was the only one who actually found where the rats were entering. He was absolutely brilliant and took the time each visit to help, advise and implement the solution. I cannot recommend Andrew and Contego highly enough!

Excellent service, I recently had mice in my home due to holes in the brickwork. Lewis came and done a full inspection, he was very professional and understanding of my concerns. I’m just so grateful of the fast response from Contego and can finally live stress free in my home

Matt Fisher was both informative and thorough. Having mice is an unsettling problem, but he made me feel so much better about it, explaining what I can do to be more preventative, and reassuring me that, it's just one of those things! I feel so much better abd (for now) appear to be mouse free!
