“To start, we ordered a large order from Costco.com. We live in MI and my brother lives in CT, where we were sending this package. Two days later, a box shows up on our front porch, not CT. When we made this purchase we were told that it was coming from the CT location because we picked Jif peanut butter, which was not available at that location and had to get Skippy. We call the customer service line, we get hung up on and call back. This time we get an actual person. They are telling us we have to take the box back to our local Costco and wait 5 days for a refund. So we end up having to repurchase the entire order basically, that got shipped to the wrong address, and were told it had two day shipping. It then shows up four days later and we get double charged for everything. So we spend another hour and a half on hold after being hung up on twice, to get no help. The send is to a manger named Jessica who did nothing and was extremely rude. This has been stressful and expensive, this company is incompetent and rude, I want my money back for this membership and to never have to deal with them again. And they were like what were you expecting, and at this point I would really like an actual apology for this run around and how we have been treated. The prices and quality of products are not the greatest to keep me coming back, this service has guaranteed I will never shop here again.”

I used Costco.com for free shopping and found you are charging higher prices to cover the delivery. I purchase a mirror for 39 and it’s 29 in store. I purchased 2 rugs with $50 off only to discover they are $100 less in store. You have to take the merchandise back to the store and they will give a refund so you can then purchase it in the store. I was notified 1 rug was on its way only to get it 7 days later when I ordered everything together. Be very careful what you buy from Costco. Com. They are not the Costco store prices.”
“Be careful, Costco misleads you if you buy a bed from them in several ways — even one of their most expensive beds. They tell you on some choices they will haul away your old bed and set up new one, on other choices they make several claims on the shipping and handling that lead you to believe that they will haul your old bed away saying “contaminated” mattresses will not be hauled away. In the end they call you about setting up saying if you can answer no to be quarantined in the last two weeks or testing positive they can go ahead with the delivery and set up. Then on the day the driver says no set up, porch delivery only and only your mattress can be taken away even though you are replacing your bed with a new foam mattress that does not need box springs. When you call customer service they tell you you don’t qualify for removal or set up with their most expensive mattress because the language does not say that specifically. Then to return it you must haul it in to the store or pay shipping. So much fo 100 % satisfaction guarantee! Go Amazon instead!”

'Costco Concierge Service' is just a marketing gimmick and a totally useless service that just wastes your time and energy.
Our TV stopped working after 1 year but months before the 2 year warranty period under Costco.
After waiting for hours several times on music on hold, we finally got hold of the rep, and then their warranty department. They sent an email for us to take pictures and email them, called two weeks later and they had not yet reviewed the pictures. Then they requested to re-email higher resolution pictures, promising that they will send a Tech with the right parts etc. to fix the TV.
After more than a month they now say that they reviewed the pictures and determined it to be a 'non manufacturing defect' - totally BS.
Please do not waste your time buying electronics and appliances at Costco and their extended warranty fraud.”
“I was accosted because I didn’t have a mask. I explained I had problems breathing and the man brought out a shield, unwrapped, & had his hands all over it. I said I would try to wear it but if I had difficulty breathing I would have to take it off. He said then I would have to leave because I could not take it off. What an idiot? I have him on video. I should have stayed and had a man Asthma attack and sued. As it is I fully intend on telling everyone I know and posting on every site I see, that Costco does not welcome people with any type of physical handicap. As far as ADA, the ignorant man said “because Costco is private we don’t have to follow that.” He then calls 2 other men to try to intimidate me. I was not refusing to leave he just seemed to enjoy trying to bully. One of the men told me to “put my phone down. Recording isn’t allowed here.” I asked to see the policy and he said he was going to call the police. I said, “Okay fine, call the police. I’m going to be outside in my car; a gold Lexus. “ The officer came and said”They said you wanted to talk to me.” I laughed and said, I can’t believe they said that. They called because I was recording them telling me I couldn’t remove a mask if I was unable to breathe, even though I told them other than being common sense it’s also on the CDC website.” He was nice and told me to have a nice day. The 3 men showed their ignorance to both me and the officer. Along with every social platform I’m on. I don’t take well to bullying and threats. “We will freeze your membership.” I don’t care I live closer to Sam’s anyway. So when you see someone with handouts that says Costco doesn’t allow handicap accommodations for people in their stores because they claim they don’t have to follow federal laws because they’re a “private business.” It will be me and my recording. This occurred at the Ft. Oglethorpe, GA store.”
“We bought a Vinotemp wine refrigerator in 2012 for about $900. It broke down in 2015 and Costco replaced it with another one that cost $1400 so we had to pay the difference. It broke down again this month. Costco's appliance policy states that it will not stand behind its appliance products after five years. You can return a leather couch set, a toothbrush, pots and pans at ANY time, but not an appliance. So now we are out $1400. Vinotemp said we need to get a technician to repair it which will run us $90 for a call, the price of an compressor and $450 to install the compressor. So we are sitting with a $1400 wine refrigerator that does not work. Why buy an appliance at Costco if they don't stand behind the product? You may as well support your local appliance store. You don't use a wine refrigerator like a washing machine, so they should last a long time. We are VERY disappointed in Costco's customer service, especially since we are over 80 years old.”

“Please don't order ANYTHING from Costco.com They are completely incapable of providing ANY correct information on inventory, shipping, etc this is the 3rd time they have misrepresented their abtility to correctly process orders and the umpteenth time going round and round on their cue if not being outright being disconnected. I under stand that the Warehouse model does not work right now, no curbside pickup for example. But being honest regarding capability when taking your money is only keeping with supposed customer service.

“I’ve been waiting for a refund check for merchandise picked up over 3 weeks ago! They keep telling me the checks being processed!! But I was also told 7-10 days after the return was authorized and again it’s been 3 weeks and still no check!! After many days of not receiving a check on another call I was told my credit card was being credited instead of a check which turned out to be not true. Great on taking items back but horrible how many calls and how much time you spend with them on the phone to get nowhere.”
