I would never buy anything from Curry's again. I wanted to buy a new TV,but I am not up to date with the new TV's. I wanted to ask questions to make sure I bought the right TV, but the salesman was wandering off all the time and I had to go chasing him to get any response. Finally bought a TV but it turns out it was the wrong kind. I went back to ask more questions like "why does it not work with my tablet" and again the know how guy didn't seem interested in helping and told to go buy a Chromecast. I had never heard of this and didn't know what to do with it. When I asked him to explain, he wandered off. I don't know how these people keep their jobs. They seem to get paid for wandering around all day and ignoring customers.

Ordered a £450 washing machine for today, Sunday 16th August, waited in all day, and it wasn't delivered. We spoke to customer services, who were supposed to see if delivery could happen today as agreed. They did not call us back, as promised, and on calling back we learned that our previous call was not even logged! Notes on their system indicate their liar delivery driver had said he tried to deliver, but this is false. Only thing so called customer service could do was re-schedule during office hours tomorrow when we both work. No thanks! Order cancelled and you've lost customers for life.

Currys' delivers sob stories, not product. Ordered an American Fridge-Freezer which, I admit is a bit big and heavy. Other important information is that there is a staircase that it has to go up (as we live in the flat above a pub). The stairwell isn't huge, but...well, I'll get to that in a bit. I was so excited to be getting it 2 days after ordering it. Currys' delivery team pulls up and ... they they state that it is too big to fit through the door to the flat. I'm gutted. The fridge-freezer has, for its shortest measurement, a depth of 72 cm. My door frame? 70 cm. So, upon being told that it is not possible to deliver, my lovely lady and I start looking online for alternatives. Finding an option, I returned to the store to seek out my salesman from two days earlier. Explaining the situation, he enlightened me to some extremely intriguing information: Take the doors off (using a simple "open the door and lift method" and the depth becomes a mere 60 cm. WOW! I go to the customer service desk and get my fridge-freezer set for a new delivery! My Currys' rating? * * * * * (5 Stars) A few days later (due to work, we couldn't get delivered again for 4 days) here comes the delivery crew. Currys' delivery team pulls up and ... they state that they aren't allowed to deliver up more than 3 steps. What? Apparently, they don't send enough team members out to be able to maneuver a 95 kg fridge-freezer up a set of stairs to the flat above and fears of hernias and other whiny injuries. They refuse to deliver. My Currys' rating? * * (2 Stars) Upon calling up their customer "I don't care" team, I was informed that the drivers indicated that it was a spiral staircase. Having worked in furniture delivery (sleeper sofas, cabinets, hutches, etc.), I know that a spiral staircase would have been an impossibility. The thing is...it's not a spiral staircase! There is a flight of stairs, then a landing, then another flight of stairs. Yes, it's about 20 steps, but nothing that shouldn't be able to be done with a competent delivery crew (including the apparent management team that makes sure that there are enough team members going to handle the delivery). My offer? A door-step delivery. WOW! I can have it delivered to the bottom of my stairs and they will just leave it there and laugh their way back to the office and their paycheck for doing nothing. The customer service team reviewed photographs of the staircase that I sent them (with measurements giving a minimum of 26 cm free space at the most narrow point if the doors are off the fridge). And they supported the decision that it couldn't be done. Fortunately, this is a pub. We have a lot of different people that come through here, including a "removals team" who laughed at the incompetence of this team. Now, it cost me £15/head (x 4 blokes) to have this delivered up these stairs. The doors were removed, not as easily as I was led to believe, but after removing 15 screws from the top and 6 screws from the bottom plate. This removed a nice bit of weight from the product. 4 guys delivered this up the staircase (not once touching the side rails) and deposited the item gently on the landing at the top of the staircase. They removed the old fridge from inside the unit (which Currys' **IS** going to come pick up, you can count on that - NOT) then gently moved the American-style product in, quickly reattaching the bottom plates and the doors. Two of these "removals guys" were laughing and joking about they should leave their job to go get paid to do nothing but drive around and tell people that they can't deliver a product. I have a feeling that Currys' will be the butt of our jokes for some time to come. I expect Currys to pay for this delivery that they should have been able to action. Do I expect that they will? No. I expect Currys to pick up the old fridge freezer which I paid for? Do I expect that they will? No. I expect Currys to assess what they offer their customers in regard to delivery. Do I expect that they will? No. My Currys rating? * (1-Star, only because you are not allowed to give ZERO. Will I purchase from Currys again without proper restitution? No. Will I recommend Currys? No. Do yourself a favour. Shop elsewhere until Currys can learn what it means to offer a service to its customers.

Ordered washing machine online, given delivery date 15th June, waited in all day, phoned helpline at 6.15 to be told delivery had changed to 18th, no explanation as to why I had not been informed, I put in complaint next morning and cancelled order, they didn't even try to keep my custom, just cancelled order like it didn't matter, very poor customer relations.

Laptop sent away came back saying been water damaged which granddaughter denies, but just got their word for it, currys suggested we claim off home insurance, they want your money but as soon as you leave the store you are on your own, disgusted with them shocking!!!

I bought a 4k ultra hd tv from currys advertised on their website as being 4 times better than hd, when i switched it on it was the same quality pic as my old tv, i contacted them and they said there is hardly any 4k broadcasts at the moment, nothing like the advert for the tv says, it says, " fantastic 4k viewing take your viewing to the next level 4k offers 4 times the level of detail", what they dont say is you have to trawl the internet to find a 4k broadcast

Do not buy the Zanussi condenser tumble dryer. It is the worst tumble dryer I have ever had. When the timer is set, the minute dial does not move so I have no idea how far through the cycle it is. I bought it online from Currys who agreed with me that there was a problem, but Zanussi have said that it is the design of this product that the dial does not move. A very bad design.

I bought a dishwasher on line. Due to Currys not having the one I wanted in store, decided to have it delivered and paid extra for a shorter allocated delivery time. When it arrived two days later, to the delivery men credit, they noticed damage to the door. Thankfully I asked them to remove all packaging otherwise this may have caused further problems. I was promised a call back when another dishwasher would be delivered. I heard nothing so went ‘on line’ and found that the local store had one in (this had not been the case when I initially made the order). I went and collected the dishwasher and mentioned I had wasted half a day because of the received damaged item but no offer of discount was offered (and no apology). I wanted to cancel the ‘on line’ order but this was not possible from the store and needed a lengthy phone call from home (and the usual charges). I did this in plenty of time to avoid another dishwasher being delivered. However later in the day, you guessed it, one turned up and I apologised making it clear I had telephoned earlier to try and prevent this. Finally, it took seconds for my payment to be taken from my credit card but will take quite a few days for the refund to be paid back as I have paid twice in effect for the dishwasher I have. All in all not very impressed with Currys and would suggest a smaller independent retailer would be better than Currys who have been bad in the past, but for some reason, I have gone back to them. Not anymore!!!

I ordered a fridge freezer for following day delivery. Warehouse rang to say product damaged and not available for a further 2 days. Frozen food ruined. Complaint made. Currys know how couldn't care less. No good will gesture, no apology, no compensation. When I raised my objections to treatment they stopped replying to emails. I would suggest research to see if this company are giving you the deal you want. I will never use them again.

Last August I purchased a new washing machine from Currys. When it was delivered despite it being a heavy machine only one man carried it in while the other sat outside,as a result of this the machine was dropped ripping my new lino.He did not apologise or even do a test run on the machine to check it was working, which it was not as the door had been damaged. I called Currys that afternoon about the problems, they advised me to e mail them a photo of the damage to my lino which I did asap, and they gave me another number to contact re the faulty machine. After a lot of hassle (they did not make it easy) I had a new machine delivered. However, regarding my torn lino, the contractors who delivered the machine lied and told Currys my lino was already torn. I explained that this was an utter lie,it was in fact new and I had e mailed them the damage asap as advised. They continued to say they had to take the word of their contractors, basically accusing me of lying. Their customer service was non existant, the worst I have ever had and as a result of my experience I will never shop at Currys again, and am strongly advising others not too!

Incompetent staff, one person was really rude, I intended to spend £500 on Camera equipment, which I told them. They couldn't find anything, tried to sell me a lens not compatible to the camera, in the end 3 people were trying to find a specific accessory, which was on stock according to their pc. After spending 1.5 hours in the shop, without getting anywhere and being treated rather unfriendly, I decided to leave. I went to Argos and got all I want within 10 minutes.

I was purchasing a new dishwasher and as I am not familiar with dishwashers I asked a member of staff about its details. The staff member was able to tell me everything about the dishwasher very clearly and with no doubt. I was very happy with my experience.

Went to Currys at the end of november to buy a new laptop for my child but where unable to provide with the relative information needed. The first member of staff didnt know much about laptops or so he told me, he went and got another member who supposedly knew about laptops but just read the information of the box which the laptop came in. When i asked him if this particulary laptop was better for school work ect he said they all do the same in a very rude way. I just left without saying anything would not recomend a very bad exprience have had good exprience but at different branches really need to sort out their priority.
