I went to Currys in November of 2018 and what a con. Please do not be fooled by their so called 'sales' or 'reductions.' Having gone to look for a new laptop, I was hoping to see some genuine reductions but all I saw was that the items supposedly on at a sale price had only been on at the pretend full price for just over a month and this was true of every laptop I saw. It is a con and the spirit of the law is being totally abused to fool people in to thinking they are getting a good deal. I suppose this demonstrates the disdain that the company has for its customers.

In the Crewe store, the staff are more interested in speaking to each other than giving assistance. By far the worse store I’ve shopped in. Willing to purchase 2 TVs and a vacuum I’ve still not been seen to. I am currently writing this review as I wait for assistance and having asked to be seen to after 45 minutes of being in the store! Utterly shocking, it’s like no one is willing to serve us.

Never again will I order from Currys. Ordered 3 items. 1 item turned up a month early and one was meant to be ready to collect in store 20days ago and still don't have it. When I popped on there they hadn't even ordered the item. Useless.

Utterly shambolic. I probably don't have the vocabulary to articulate just how dire Curry's Team Know How (if ever there was a contradiction in terms!) are certainly without using naughty words, perhaps the single most frustrating thing is the "could not care less" attitude in addition to an abject failure to implement the simplest of tasks in a timely fashion. In our case and to cut a very long story short having suffered a family bereavement over the festive season they left us half expecting to see a "Team Know How" van turn up at the house at same time as the funeral cortege! Fortunately the Douglas, Isle of Man store has a young man called Luke who tried his very best to help and evidently managed to stop this visit for which we were grateful but other than him and the subcontracted Team Know How delivery people who are also helpful the whole system is shambolic in my opinion. When you do complain in store or online as an example an email reply is received basically designed to fob you off, in this instance asking for the complaint reference number when it is already in the email subject title! As can be seen from the latest email reply subject title DIX4831XXXXX, RE: RE: CSUP4829XXXXX, RE: DIX4809XXXXX, RE: RE: CSUP4806XXXXX, RE: Formal customer complaint I have now received 4 such fob offs each buying at least another 5 days before the next response is due. If you buy cheap and everything works for the next few years you are fine, if you item develops a fault (e.g. freezer after 14 months) and have a care plan be aware you may well have to put in a LOT of time, effort and expense to get it resolved, in our case the actual care plan had been unilaterally cancelled by Curry's a month after purchase which was the start of the problem and ended with a freezer being discarded as uneconomical to repair for want of a 12 inch £15 cable harness which shows total disregard for the environment. We did eventually get a new freezer but that is not what we wanted given the comments above. No doubt if there is a reply attached to my review it will be a mock platitude cut and paste job which just about sums up their customer service.

Re: DIX4716715CR, RE: Re: CSUP4705713CR, RE: Damaged Product I'm bought Chest freezer in November and received completely damage one. Once I logged a complaint they decided to send an another which I had waited over two weeks. One I received the second freezer which is also damaged, until now three months on Curry and PC World failed to replace or refund. They are so bad can't imagine when they offered me £20 refund to keep the damaged one, which was disgusting and unacceptable for such a big company. My advice will be don't accept anything from Currys until you check properly before the driver leaves other ways they will make suffer like me. I will never use Currys and PC World again and will never advise anyone as well.

Appaling service. Faulty oven door but wont exchange it even though its within the 28day return or exchange policy. Say I have to wait for an engineer to confirm this even though video evidence shown to the KNOWHOW sales assistant in-store agreed it was faulty. Told me the consumer rights act 2015 doesn't cover this until the item is proved faulty ???? Very rude and dismissive customer service advisors. Need a new washing machine but won't shop there EVER AGAIN

Went into the store and approached a member of staff who was very busy browsing social media on his phone. I asked if they had a certain piece of kit in stock to which he replied “i’ll Check for you”. Phone still in hand he went to a terminal and checked. “Yes sir, we have ten in stock but they’re part of a business deal, so they’re not for sale, sorry about that”. He the proceeded to go back on his mobile, probably back to the social media page he’d just left!. Now, at no point did he say “can I order one for you sir?” Or “do you want me to check to see if any nearby stores have any in stock Sir?”.... No, no offer whatsoever..... what was the point of telling me that there were ten in stock but I couldn’t have any? Was that just to wind me up or what?...It’s like a restaurant saying ‘yes, we have a full menu on offer but you can’t have anything’.....too busy wanting to get back on his phone, that’s what it was about. Not happy and I won’t be visiting the Mansfield store again....Currys need to make a rule of no mobiles on the shop floor

This has been the worst shopping experience I have ever had. WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It cost me 8 hours holiday waiting for a Tumble dryer to be delivered which I found out later was never going to arrive due to absolute incompetence. When I tried to complain that service was even worse! I'm still waiting for feedback 4 weeks later. Their Web site is full of false advertising - KEEP WELL AWAY

I bought a Samsung washing machine from Currys in January 2019. The delivery and installation process has been an absolute nightmare! Although it's easy to install a washing machine, I was willing to pay for it and get them install it as I was busy with other stuff. The delivery guys arrived slightly late, they were somehow in rush and didn't care about the machine. I asked them to be careful, however they still didn't care and scratch the machine! After the installation, I noticed a leak coming from the connection, I asked the delivery guys to fix it however they said it wasn't their problem and they drove off! They also took the shipping bolts of the machine with them... I called the customer care straight after; the first agent said they had to book and engineer to come around and asses the case, and she book that service for 5 days later!! She refused to refund the installation fee. I kept calling the customer service line, after 2 other attempts, another agent understood the situation (mostly) and agreed to refund me the installation fee and ask Samsung to send me spare shipping bolts. However, he refused to pay for the damage... Then, I called my home emergency insurance company to send someone to stop the leakage. The plumber who was sent by the insurance company stopped the leakage and said it the valve was broken, however he didn't replace it as the insurance wouldn't cover it. So, I've got the washing machine, but I can't really use it until... who knows when! That was the first time I bought something from Currys and it has given me a massive headache! I spent the entire day on the phone on the day of delivery, then now I'll have to wait for another 5 days for the repair service... I can't use the machine meanwhile... This is clearly a mismanagement/training issue! The delivery guys had no idea about installation, hence the broken valve...

NEVER BUY FROM CURRYS Their stuff may be cheaper but expect severe anxiety if the item is faulty. I bought a laptop from them, online, and it arrived with the wrong charger. Seven weeks later and it still hasn't been sorted. Currys are experts at giving customers the run around. Expect an hour on hold if you phone them . Expect to talk to a different operative every time. Expect to be given telephone numbers that dont work. A total shambles. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

DO NOT BUY FROM CURRYS. I can't believe a company as big as currys can be such big rip off merchants. I bought 5 items on the 26th dec 2018. When I bought my items ALL ITEMS were in stock. My delivery date was 6th Jan 2019. When they delivered my products I only had 4 items and was told by the delivery team that 1 item was out of stock. I rang currys customer service and was informed it will be in stock on the 9th of January. Bearing in mind my item apparently was in stock when I bought it. 9th Jan came an nothing. No call no message no email. I rang them. Told it will be in 11th Jan. 11th came and Yes guess what nothing. No call etc. Called again was told 20th January. By this time I'm very annoyed. 20th came and still nothing. Called today (21st jan) and have now been informed it's the 1 February. They have sold me something they never even had. Surely this is not right. This must be against the law. They take your money and don't give you the goods. I spent over £4000 and this is the way I get treated. STAY WELL CLEAR. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I will be posting this all over social media to try and reach as many people as possible...
