Decathlon offers extremely good value products at a very fair price. Fortunately I never had to contact their customer service but their in-store staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The only point they could improve in my opinion is the delivery stage: they do not deliver for free and even with a fee, it takes longer to arrive than other online stores such as Wiggle.com for example. We reserved an item to be collected in store and it has been two weeks we are waiting for this item to be ready for collection, not even dispatched. I would and do recommend Decathlon around me.

Although the branch I visited is fairly new (Wandsworth) I was assisted by a very kind Sales Assistant who has helped me ordering the item I was after by using the store screen. Sadly I then realised that I had a customer account but no customer card, so I went on your facebook page to ask for my card to me issued and send to me but I was told that the store should have done it. When I returned to the shop to collect my order and query for the card I was told that they do not have that facilities so, I went to facebook and explained the situation and I was advised to go to your Croydon branch to have the card issued, to which I explained that I was not ready to travel all the way to Croydon to have a loyalty card issued and then a kind person agreed to have it issued and posted to me. It is a shame that the card is not automatically issued when a purchase is confirmed (paid for and collected/delivered). Yet I am happy to know that I can also use my card when I travel. That is a plus that, as far as I know no other shops does. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I am not completely satisfied with the delivery. A prepaid product is missing from the box. I could not complain either, because I have not received any delivery note or invoice . Since time did not agree in advance I do not stayed at home, so my housemate was handed over without the signature of a residential and reconciliation . If you have a choice, please look after that and make up for the deficit.

My only criticism of this company is that late in the year I was attempting to buy a product that was out of stock. The website has an email reminder for when it is back in stock. It either does not work or nobody bothers to check it as I was never advised when the item was available and it was pure fluke that I checked the site again.

The price was good but I did have to wait almost a week for my item to be delivered to store, the picking process seemed to be very slow. There is no cancellation until it's been shipped so I couldn't even cancel and buy for the same price elsewhere and have it arrive quicker.

Ordered online- advised have 5 days to collect from chosen store. Wasn't clear if it was 5 days from order date or from date I was emailed to say it was available for collection. I emailed customer service who said don't worry as long as I collect 5 days from this reply it would be fine. I then got a notification the next day saying my order had been cancelled! I went into the store and bought it off the shelf so was fine but would have been very annoyed if they hadn't had my item in stock

Took over half an hour to find my order of two bikes and then left me to walk out of the store carrying them both, no help offered at all! On the positive, the bikes are good value for money and decent quality.

I like the item I bought, the archery 'practice' bow. Disappointed not to have had notification of extra arrows.

Products are great and price good too - however I used the DHL collect from a local shop service. The products arrived but no-one informed me! Luckily the shop kept the items beyond the time they were due to be returned to DHL and I happened to go in and ask about them .. So good products, good price, poor delivery from DHL.

Overall I'm happy with my purchase. I ordered online for store collection - it arrived at the store in good time and the collection process was straightforward. Item was in perfect condition and as described online - no problems. The reason I have only given 3 stars is because after collection I continued to receive multiple confusing emails telling me that an item had not been collected and that if I didn't collect the order would be cancelled and refunded. As there was no way to respond to the email and no contact information provided, this meant that I then had to spend time going to the Decathlon website, finding the customer service number and ringing up to check the status of the order and have the system adjusted to show completion - something that should have been done by the staff in the store. This would not stop me shopping in this way with Decathlon again as I understand mistakes happen but it was irritating to have to spend my time dealing with it.

Delivery notice was poor. Delivery attempted two days after initial expected delivery, and between 9am and 7pm is too broad a range. Also there has been no medium stock on mid range road bikes for some time - clearly a supply chain issue. There is no online mechanism where one can query when these become available - not having a free format e-mail option but directed to unhelpful FAQ's.

Disappoint about the Size, purchased size 4 years and my daughter is not even three, but it's already tight on her, won't get much usage. Not as padded as I thought neither.

Staff were very helpful but not very knowledgable about stock and also for a brand new store stock levels weren't that good in certain areas of the store. To be honest if I didn't know that it had just opened I would not have thought it was a brand new store. Love decathalon though

The service was fine but beware that shopping in store is far more expensive than ordering online. price in store at end of October 189, price online at the same time 149, price online in November 119.

Products are good and reasonable priced. Staff are untrained especially in customer service, that's if you can find any. Also nobody stops the children cycling or scootering around the store unsafely fast.
