When I initially booked a engineer to attend to mend fridge freezer they sent out a fool who stated that the fridge freezer is broken this is why I requested you to call out not to tell me what I already knew,
No communication from any of you I had to chase, was told that you would call me back to keep me informed this has never happened
Second engineer appointment still no working fridge freezer (now into week 3) he arrived 2 hours later than time slot given, this engineer stated he had to wait for his colleague who would be mending the fridge freezer a few minutes later he changed his tune to he's wrote it off and someone would be in touch it beggars belief that they can blatantly lie to your face without any repercussions
I got a text message following day spoke with online Celeste was no help had to phone instead this lady has stated I need to take out another warranty for the replacement fridge freezer I asked about the automatic 1 year guarantee that you automatically get when buying white goods she went into her speech it's clear they are desperate for your money
I was informed Indesit would be in touch never happened had to phone them to chase, was told earliest appointment I can have for them to collect free of charge written off fridge freezer and deliver new fridge freezer is another week away this is going into 4th week without a fridge or freezer
They are not bothered about delivering good quality customer service they just want to squeeze more money from you
I have had food that has been ruined and gone in bin but they are not interested, they will waste your time by forcing you the paying customer to constantly chase them up

“Shocking. They are taking money under false pretences. In the midst of lockdown my fridge broke down in May. 3 engineers later and 2 different parts, fridge still not working a month later. Told assessor would call me back... they didn't. Eventually got to talk to assessor... 10 minutes of waffling later told me they had to have 3 different companies try to fix it before considering alternative action (what the hell is that). Said he would call me back... actually said 'not sure when that will be'. Crazy, over the years I've paid in over £1,100. I didn't cancel it as I was told in writing if the fridge/freezer breakdown and couldn't be repaired quickly, they would replace it. Nothing about numerous company jengar. Fuming.”
“I have had money taken from my account by D & G. I have never knowingly taken a policy out with them. I received a letter in March to renew my policy told them didn't want it. Started taking money from my account in May!!! How have they got my bank details. Have asked then again today to cancel and refund monies taken.”

Months of repair appointments, engineer not even gone 2hours & appliance breaks down, burning smell & part inflamed ...took over 24hours to get through to resolution department ....taking it further ....risking customers safety to save a few quid! “I took out the policy for 4 items and I was told I would get a replacement if items could t be repaired . An engineer came out to repair my washing machine and after his visit it continued to have a different problem . This was into the same week as the visit . Another man came and said it needed parts and he would order them . I never heard back for two weeks and when I called them they said they can’t repair it , part of no longer available and because it was a problem on first visit I had to buy myself a new machine . I explained that someone had been out to repair the leaks etc but it continues to still had a fault . I will be taking it further as they tell you information that isn’t true when they say they will replace it if can’t repair . I may when go to the guardian again as I noticed already been complaints about this company . I wii be cancelling the policy . Be carful you could waste money and not get replacement”

“A dreadful experience and complete waste of money. After 7 years of premiums my dishwasher broke down. It was declared irreparable and I would be supplied with a replacement. Without any information or advice delivery was arranged. This was left on my doorstep today. They refused to deinstall or remove the old one as they wouldn’t come in even though I had paid for it. The final straw was refusing to fit the new one. The replacement was not of equal specifications either. Customer service and the resolution team were very very unhelpful.
I’m disgusted by the way they have misinformed me and feel this is a classic case of miss selling.
I’ve cancelled all my 3 policies having paid out a huge amount of money for a worthless service. I do not recommend buying their policies and suggest you put a few £ s a month away to cover your replacements or repairs. Grrrr”
“Garbage service, need a minus star rating , reported washing machine problem , engineer comes out a week later , drum needs replacing, engineer left saying another engineer would come with the part , new engineer turns up this morning...hey guess what...no part on his van ...so why come !!!!!! and he has no idea why, in fact he was totally clueless ...worst service ever , do not use these as they are absolutely useless .....now on the phone for over an hour trying to find out why this has happened. Rubbish, garbage, useless , hopeless !!!!!!!!”

“if I could leave less than 1 star I would !! I have had my policy with domestic and general for 3 yrs. I have never made a claim, but today my chest freezer had stopped working. It has over £400 of raw meat [dogs food] stored inside it, however D&G cant get anyone out to look at for 5 days !! When I challenged them about the food inside, their response is they do not cover the food, only the appliance ! however when I was sold the plan I was told contents would be covered should they be spoiled. I am in such a dilemma, I have tried to search for a second hand freezer but there is none, and I can not afford a new freezer. I will be taking my complaint to the ombudsman once this is over, I will also be cancelling my plan as I feel I have been mislead - this company is a scam, save your money and do not take out their sham plans !!”

“You wouldn't think that after Scottish Power sold us boiler breakdown and service cover things could go wrong with the actual provider Domestic & General. From start to finish (well they never really started!) the experience was awful. An engineer came round to our house to do an annual service. To my utter amazement the engineer said he could not access the boiler area as there was a cover over it. It required 2 small screws to be removed from the panel and then there would be access. The engineer didn't even try to attempt to get access and left within 5 mins. We received a letter from Domestic & General (D&G) saying the engineer could not gain access to initiate a service and that the cover didn't include removing wooden covers a boiler such as this Worcester Bosch boiler. Surely the engineer must have had experience of this model as it is fairly common. Instead my partner called an independent and they took the 2 screws off and did a service in 45 mins. I explained this to D&G's customer service department and supplied photos to show how the access was gained. They seemed in denial and totally unwilling to take on board the points I raised. After 3 emails to them and letters coming back from D&G (incidentally those took at least 1 week to come through) they said they would not agree to compensation and if I was not happy I should take my complaint to the Ombudsman. Frankly useful. So I cancelled my policy with immediate effect. You couldn't really get any worse from I experienced - they didn't appear to acknowledge the photographic evidence until prompted to look again at attachments sent in emails.”
“Iam not very happy with the service I reported my washing machine out of action two weeks ago to engineers turned up and told me the machine was not working and they would send a report in. An hour after they left an appointment was sent for two days later 12/03/2000 the engineer asked what was wrong with it I explained that the drum was making a funny noise on inspection he said that they should have order a drum as well as the other bits required. I contacted customer service to be told that my machine was repairable I explained that I have been paying for over 10 years. Iam now left with out a washing machine for how long again

Even when I told them what the problem was and what part the machine needed I was told I'm not and engineer and needed one to look at it first when he eventualy arrived and looked it it told me exactly what it said the first time so instead of it been fixed that day Wednesday 4th I had to wait for him to put his report in order the part and they will be in touch. I called them on Saturday 7th because I haven't heard back from them yet and was told the engineer hasn't updated the system yet so now I have to wait till Monday to find out what's going on and will probably take a nother two weeks to fix it would have been quicker to fix it my self they are an absolute ripoff.”
