am extremely disappointed and frankly disgusted by the poor service I received regarding my recent delivery. I paid extra for VIP Saturday delivery because I made sure I would be home all day to receive the package — and yet, your driver failed to deliver it not once, but twice. What’s even more ridiculous is that at no point did the driver attempt to contact me. No phone call, no message — absolutely nothing. Your tracker showed I was approximately 15 minutes away, but that is completely inaccurate — I was literally downstairs waiting. No one came to the door. No one rang the bell. No knock. Nothing. How can a company that claims to provide reliable delivery fail so miserably at something so basic? This was not a missed delivery — this was zero attempt made, plain and simple. The delivery driver did not even come to the door because I was downstairs and he took a picture and left before I could make my way outside. I expect an immediate explanation and compensation for the VIP delivery fee I paid for no reason. This kind of negligence is unacceptable, and if this is the standard DPD operates at, I will make sure to avoid your services moving forward and advise others to do the same.

The worst delivery company!

DPD are utterly shambolic. Had a parcel supposed to be delivered today. I was in, and suddenly: "Sorry we missed you". Didn't even bother to come; proof image is just all black. Rang up and complained, and they said they'd try again today. It is now 10pm and "Oscar" is nowhere to be seen...

Our next day delivery parcel has been 'held at depot' for the last two days. We're a business and It's only parts needed for a job. Nothing important. They've even delivered another order which they got a day later. Worst courier in the country. Useless. Amazed they are still in business.

I paid for VIP delivery on Saturday between 12pm - 6pm and received a time slot of between 12 -1. I got a message at 12:27 to say the driver had tried to deliver my parcel but was unable to which was a shock as I was waiting out side for the delivery. I received an image of the property where my parcel had been attempted to be delivered to which was a complete random persons house and not mine. I called DPD and a manager called me back to advise there had been a error on their end and she would personally contact the driver to get him to come to right address and deliver the parcel to me that same day. Unsurprisingly the parcel never arrived and got returned back to the depot. I contacted DPD this morning to raise a complaint first on their web chat only for the person (shane) to end the chat without sorting anything out which i was not best pleased about. I then called them only for the person who i was speaking to saying the onus was on me to arrange a delivery date again and not actually trying to handle my issue or letting me speak to a manager and kept talking over me when I was trying to talk and then from what i could hear was laughing in the back ground before hanging up. I've then gone back on webchat to trying and get this resolved but they couldn't arrange a call from a manager apparently even though it was them that arranged the manager to call me yesterday. My parcel is apparently due again tomorrow but I have little to no confidence that this will actually arrive. The whole service as been absolutely shambolice and a disgrace and no one seems to care about it or truly wants to help.

Right, where to begin with the absolute shambles that is DPD? If you value your time, your sanity, or indeed, receiving your parcels, steer well clear. I've had the distinct displeasure of experiencing their "delivery service" twice in as many weeks, and on both occasions, they've claimed attempted deliveries that simply did not occur. Let's focus on the most recent debacle, shall we? A "delivery" attempted by a driver named Marian. Apparently, the simple act of using a telephone to dial a number - a feat managed by most toddlers - was beyond this individual's capabilities. Instead of a quick call, I received precisely nothing. No parcel, no call, just a phantom "attempted delivery" notification. One can only assume that the complexities of modern telecommunications were simply too much to bear. Frankly, I've encountered garden snails with a greater grasp of basic instructions. DPD, you've demonstrated a truly spectacular level of incompetence. I wouldn't trust your drivers to find their way out of a paper bag, let alone deliver a parcel. Avoid at all costs.

Paid apple a premium for next day delivery - knowing I would be at home on Friday 7 March 2025. Three days spent wondering where my purchase was. DPD gave a “sorry you weren't home” message - I was home all day. Awake. In a flat with an intercom, a letter box for my flat and even a ring doorbell (That I've checked the footage of). It seems the driver had literally not even bothered to come to my address, instead dropping at a collection point shop over a mile from my home! I'm actually disabled and sometimes can't leave my home for days at a time. How is this company even still in business? A google for reviews showed one review site with over 12,000 reviews with an overall rating of 1.1 with many people stating the same issue: being at home, no delivery and a “sorry we missed you” message left.

Expected delivery never arrived we waited in all day to be told they tried to deliver and they had a photo. Not my house no idea where it was. I called to explain and ask for a redelivery as they took it to the wrong place. The reply was it was with them and would be delivered to a parcel shop miles from where we live, I explained I don’t have photo id and don’t drive, it’s a large parcel. They accept it’s their fault and it was poor service but wouldn’t deliver to my home address 2 days later they delivered to the parcel shop and say it will stay for 7 days then be returned to seller. If I could speak to someone in England it might help, and if I could give minus stars I would

Every month I get a delivery from Huel. EVERY month since October DPD have failed to deliver. They’re ALWAYS sorry they missed me but they never take photos to prove they’ve been at my front door. Mostly because they NEVER are! After months of complaining and emails I was assured that my next delivery WOULD be delivered. I was told that offending drivers had been sacked and that all deliveries in the future would be fine. I was even given a voucher as an apology. Yesterday was my first delivery after all the complaints….and…..I waited in all day. The driver even drove past my flat! 6:50 last night there’s a notification in the app that, you guessed it, they were sorry they missed me! I’d like to say I was surprised but I wasn’t. I’ve just spoken to Anthony at their escalations dept and I’ve basically demanded that someone from the depot call me. Explain to me what’s going on and PROMISE me it won’t happen again. He told me that never happens and I told him that not having a delivery for nearly six months shouldn’t happen so I think people SHOULD take responsibility for this and ring the customer! DPD you have my number. PLEASE get someone to take ownership. The depot manager. The area manager. Someone who can and will own this problem and give me an assurance that it won’t happen again. SURELY you’re managing your delivery drivers effectively and 50% of their job title is the word “delivery”. It would be nice if they would do that at my address, EVERY time. No more excuses. No more sorry you missed me. ADDITIONAL I emailed DPD at their complaint escalations email and got a reply. It was from Martin and he hoped I was having a good day and fully understood my frustrations. They always do. He told me as soon as they received feedback from the depot they’d get back to me. He told me that the depot weren’t “customer facing” so any reply would come via the complaints team. I suggested that these were not normal circumstances seeing that I’d not received a delivery from DPD on the correct day and at the correct address in nearly six months. ALL I want from DPD is an answer to two questions If you’ve spoken to the drivers concerned, WHY is it still happening?? Can you assure me it won’t happen again?? I doubt I’ll get an answer. I never do. I doubt I’ll get a delivery. I never do.

1 attempted delivery, we did not get to the door on time. So it was taken to a 'local' pick up point 30 minutes drive away - not very local ! I phoned to explain I could not pick up as it is not local and I was going to be in hospital that week and the answer was get someone else to pick up or its going back to sender Rather than try to redeliver it is going back to sender , hopefully they will pick another means of postage - DO NOT USE

Drove right up to my front gate and instead of calling or ringing the buzzer, took a photo and drove off saying "sorry we missed you"

Awful delivery service. To date parcel has not arrived and has been lost! Rearranged delivery on the app for the next day as it was a large parcel and would have been out of the house so not safe place. Parcel didn't arrive the next day, the day after or at all. The online tracker didn't update until I complained then suddenly lots of requested date changes appeared in the service which was incorrect. Parcel is now missing and cannot be located. Absolutely appalling service. Bad/unheloful customer service, no solutions offered, drivers obviously don't get trained, system is antiquated and will be actively avoiding service from now on. We still don't have the parcel I ordered and have to go through purchase company and bank to retrieve funds

My son had a parcel delivered at my property. We have access to the back garden on both sides of the property via tall bolted (from the otherside)garden gates. In addition to this, both gates have very clear signs on them stating NOT to enter. This obviously didn't apply to the driver as he lent over the neighbours boundary to unlock the bolted gate from the back to allow himself into my garden. To say I'm not impressed is an understatement 😡!!!

12:40 today 26th Feb 2025 (Grid Ref ST 74679 99307) at Sandpits on the Dursley Road near GL11 6PF. A large DPD van heading towards me swerved onto my side of the road forcing me over the nearside curb to avoid a head on collision. I didn't have time to see what he was doing since I was busy avoiding his van.

Specified a safe place, someone was in anyway and they still are going to deliver to a locker 5 miles away. They said they couldn't leave it in a safe place do to the type of delivery. Don't offer that option on that type then.

I usually don't have too many issues with dpd, I don't get notified when things arrive though. I had a delivery today which required a signature as it was around £500, they did not even leave it by my door, they left it 2 floors down in the open, box torn open, didn't notify me they left it or that they even arrived, found it an hour later a state. I couldn't review anything as they didn't give me an option to as the delivery guy stated he delivered it to me in person which obviously wasn't true as he did not. Was very unhappy with poor effort and quality of care.
