I will never use this company again. I dropped 2 parcels off at Doddle in Morrisons a week ago, hoping they would arrive in 2 days. Could not seem to track them beyond drop off. Finally went back to drop off and they found my parcels, which had not been collected at all. One week sitting in a store room, yet they had the parcels logged in their system ! I am disgusted.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. The drivers simply couldn't care less. They kept on driving past our address and saying that no one answers the door.

My son sent me a parcel on Monday 7th December and paid for a next day delivery He rang us on Wednesday to check it had arrived, it had not. He then contacted dpd and I supplied a photo of my house and detailed instructions. We pointed out that we live on the main A379 road, but the next day my son was sent a message by dpd saying they could not find us. They sent through a photo of a narrow lane nearby. By Friday we had given dpd our phone number and asked them too ring if there was a problem in finding us. Again we waited in. My son was allotted a time which came and went, another photo had been sent by the driver ( a little closer but of a cul de sac rather than an A road). My son rang the 0121 number. He was told that they would contact the Exeter depot (on a number that is not available to the ordinary punter who is paying) Firstly, he was told that the depot would resend the delivery that evening, then a little later that dpd would have to make a new delivery time for Monday. Bearing in mind that it is now 7 days since the parcel had been collected, on Monday, we again waited in. No notification of a time was given, but when I logged onto the tracking it said it was being delivered today. By 6pm it had still not arrived. Imagine the shock when my son was then told that the parcel could not be delivered because it had been badly damaged! Not only that, because he had used a price comparison website, rather than going through dpd direct, he was not eligible for compensation?? Somewhere in the organisation there are people making a lot of money on the backs of lowly paid front line staff that have little incentive to spend much time making sure their customers are having the same service they might have had through a more responsible provider. I know it's Christmas, but looking at the other feedback about dpd, there is definitely something wrong when there are so many reports of bad service. Neither my son, or I will use the services of dpd again unless they can up their game. This time they have been a dead loss!

Worst company ever and non existent tracking. If you track an order it only tells you the day it was supposed to be picked up and dropped off. If that passes and you go to track it it does not tell you it was not collected. Their customer support Liz said if the drivers decide to not collect it, it does not show up on the drivers list for the next day so it just sits waiting and no one is coming to collect it because they are not allowed pick up items which are not on their list but you have no idea if the item is collected or not so you end up tracking it through your own contacts for DPD and when you go to their help support you have to tell them where your stuff is its nuts.

DPD collected my parcel on 23rd November. It stopped tracking there. I called customer service several times, who initially confirmed it "may be lost". I haven't had an update for 3 weeks. Any time I call they can't find the parcel number, reference or enquiry number on their system, which is their own number provided by them, funny enough. This shows just how organised they are. I go through an hour of a painstaking process for them to find the tracking on the system, just for them to let me know that they have no idea what has happened to the parcel. They haven't owned up on it either. Parcel protection? It's a laugh. I haven't received any compensation yet. They seem to just let their customers wait until they have forgotten about their 300 pounds. I cannot warn you enough of this company. My enquiry number is DPD4609677

On Thursday evening I received an email stating my delivery would be delivered Friday 11th December, but never received it nor, an hour slot for delivery. I waited for it to be delivered again today and got an hour slot of 15:18 - 16:18, to which I patiently waited for. The driver was running late, to which can be understandable, but at 16:59 I received a notification stating "we missed you". I left instructions to leave it a safe place, to which wasn't followed. The driver literally pulled up, got out of his van, took a photo of the lanes and drove off. I called almost immediately as the driver drove off to see if it can be delivered today, to which it can't as DPD do not contact drivers.

There should be the option to leave minus stars. We have experienced several episodes of expensive parcels thrown over the back fence. We asked one driver about why he did this and he said that "....the Sat Nav took me round the back and you can't expect me to walk round the front!". We have also had expensive electrical goods left out in the open without a note being put through the door. One parcel was in a neighbours front garden for several days before it was found.

Failed to deliver a high value item for which I paid extra for rapid delivery despite turning up to the address. It seems they failed to ring the bell for the flat! Simply incredible

Driver claims to have tried delivering 4 times, no cards left, no door knock, no texts, no trace app. Bringing parcel back to me. Appalling, never use them

I love DPD. I live in the south west of England and here they are a million times better than all the other courier services, to the point that if a campany doesn't use them, I'm a tiny bit more reluctant to use them. DPD regularly deliver stuff early for me, for example, something I ordered from North England was passed to DPD at 7:30pm on Friday night. Initially I had an email from DPD telling me delivery was scheduled for Monday. However at 10:30am the following day I had an SMS telling me my item would be delivered between 1 and 2pm that day. Thats 18 hours to get something all the way across the country and deliver it to me. And the hour long delivery slot by text is something that every courier should use. On top of that, you get a text when the driver is a few stops away with a link so you can track their location and make sure you're ready to answer the door as soon as they turn up. For this reason I don't know how previous reviewers are saying that the driver didn't ring the bell or even get out of the van. The vans are obviously tracked, so if this was happening just call DPD and complain, they could see from the tracking data that the van didn't stop for long enough to get the parcel out of the van and attempt a delivery. For me, its easy to track the van and see when it turns up so I keep an eye out and when the van turns up I go straight to the door. Haven't had an attempted delivery message from DPD where I was in and never saw the courier, unlike most of the big courier companies like UPS or TnT. I couldn't believe the reviews on this site cos for me DPD are the best courier by a long way. Perhaps they're unlucky enough to have a jobsworth working their area, in which case they should complain to DPD who can check the driver's actions from the vehicles GPS.

Horrible work, as always!! DPD drivers in this area have a very annoying tendency to lie and say no-one was in to sign for the parcel when I was literally waiting for my parcel inside. They just take a photo of the door from the van and drive off. This would happen on a majority of occasions DPD had something to deliver to me. The times when DPD delivered on the first attempt is a rare occasion. DPD, you need to train your drivers better and fire the lazy, dishonest ones that lie to customers!

My husband ordered something from EBay. He was given 10th December delivery. The DPD driver rang the doorbell at 7:10 on Saturday 5th Dec. ( we have a ring doorbell, and saw him on the camera). There was no note through the door. My husband hadn’t had a notification saying they were delivering early, so wasn’t expecting anything. We both work full time, so weekends are reserved for a bit of a lie in. Sunday 6:50.. a slow drive by DPD. No ringing of the bell though. My husband requested a delivery day. Friday 11th December. (Today) He’d been working nights, and again not sure of the delivery time, he hasn’t been to sleep today in case he missed the driver. They REALLY need to up their game. I don’t trust them and I would never recommend them.
