I’ve never dealt with a more unprofessional company in all my working life. Avoid them at all costs. Their app is useless as the last tracking point shows depot and that’s where tracking info ends. Forget showing you where driver is on gps or how many stops away from location like other delivery company apps. Moreover, my app said same message all day- driver running slightly behind schedule from 11am scheduled delivery. Two days later I still haven’t gotten my parcel. It turns out now my parcel is too big for click and collect shop option that they provide. Yet they still let you confirm and you’ll be told at end of day unable to deliver. Amazon for example, won’t let you confirm option of pick up locker if they deem parcel too big or too valuable. Worst thing about DPD is they outright lie with no compunction.

Driver used foul language when I asked why the package was 4days late and said that the package was on time, when he started getting aggressive I began to film him. As well as customer service laughed at my wife when she said that the item that needed delivery was food for our dogs and that they are on a diet that can't be altered or they get ill. The complaint advisor said that the food could not be delivered when they had promised because it was too large. The food is 3kgs and the size of a shoe box. We complained about DPDs awful service and employees that where not completing tasks that they promised to do and they said sorry and then considered the complaint dealt with.

Terrible service and total laziness of a driver! Expected parcel today, was given early slot 7:43-8:43. Parcel didn’t turn up, no notification at all, after checking myself message that driver is running late. Another hour and I got an email saying ‘sorry we missed you’ and parcel being delivered to a nearby shop. The person who expected the parcel is disabled and immobile so that was no good at all! I paid £4.99 for delivery that I didn’t get, the driver didn’t even attempt to deliver to me, just decided to take it straight to the shop! Useless service!

Absolute awful service, driver made an ''atempt'' to deliver, this cannot be called an attempt. They ask for your phone why? They don't even call in case you don't hear a knock on the door. If they don't deliver it this day, you cannot pick it up from a shop later, you have to wait one more day, when they will deliver it to the shop in the middle of the day (it's not like people have work or anything at this time, right?) and this is on top of being late with the delivery with one more day. Customer service in the chat very unhelpful, the person in the chat is not even reading what I said but just generically replying.

The driver didn't turn but said they did. No we missed you note was left and my parcel has been taken to some random shop that is only open 9am-12pm Mon-Fri. I work 9am-5pm Mon-Fri so no help at all.

My parcel was delivered. Twice now they didn’t knock but I’d seen the van and gone to unlock the door and stood the other side of the door watching whilst they dropped the parcel outside the door- no knocking and no card posted through the door The parcel was food When I advised I’d been stood there and it’s now the second time this happened- the driver then shouted abuse at me out of the window. The website doesn’t allow to lodge complaints- poor customer interface

Delivery of NHS medical items (urgently required and ordered through my surgery) absolutely DIRE. One box arrived and the really urgent one has still not arrived. They contained items which cannot be reordered for a month. So I am unable to change items for several days instead of daily....not a pleasant experience. I cannot therefore say the delivery was on time ~ I am still waiting for some of them. neither can I say that items not yet received were not damaged. No idea where to go in DPD to complain ~ hope they read this and produce the missing box.

I hesitate to write online reviews based on only a handful of experiences, but DPD are so consistently terrible at handling deliveries that I felt I had to, in the hope that retailers might stop using them. Where to start? Well, the simple act of knocking on the right door and waiting for someone to answer is beyond them, so that's a decent place to begin. Once they have failed to do that, you will receive an email with a tracker that gives you some apparently randomly generated reason for your parcel not having been delivered, followed by an error message. Your parcel may be delivered at some point in the future, or it might not. If you eventually work out that it's been taken to the local DPD depot, then you at least have the chance to go there and experience the opposite of professionalism, which might be invaluable to you if you are thinking of starting your own business. Just do the exact opposite of everything that DPD does and you will likely be very successful. On my last visit, a man slumped against a wall in what appeared to be the reception area asked me for a printout of my reference number. When I tried to show him on my phone, he rolled his eyes and tried to take it from me. He then said he'd need to hold on to the phone and take it "out back". I refused and told him to write down the reference number elsewhere. He said he couldn't do that and would only be five minutes with the phone. In the end, I had to find a scrap of paper for him. He disappeared with it and that was that for fifteen minutes. He finally returned looking thoroughly fed up at having been disturbed by a customer and slid the parcel to me without a word. At this point, the trainer would normally stop the video and ask everyone to comment on what the man did wrong, but, alas, this was not Customer Service 101, but real life. I've had several similar experiences. In short, I dread ever seeing that DPD have been chosen to deliver my parcel. I don't think parcel delivery is really for them. It might not be too late to try doing something else, though. Perhaps their true calling is in floristry, or something.

DPD tried to deliver a parcel yesterday but I was out. They left a card saying they were taking care of our planet by taking my parcel to my nearest DPD pickup shop. Brilliant, so I thought, until I found out where it had been taken too. I had a 45 min round trip / 12 miles to go and get my parcel. My nearest pickup shop is 1.5 miles. Helping the Planet? You are most definitely not. Greenwashing? DPD most certainly are. I'll avoid brands now who use DPD. And to make matters worse, I called customer service and asked for a manager to call to be back which I was told they would within two hours and I'm still waiting 8 hours later.

DPD said they tried to deliver and I wasn't home...I've been home all day and front door was left open. When I called them to ask why they didn't call said they are not obliged to call. Very disappointed as the parcel got initially delayed by them

Even If I could give them no star, it would not reflect how bad they are. In my 10 years of ordering things I have never ever received a package at my door, from DPD. Their driver NEVER rings the doorbell. They ALWAYS redirect the parcel to a local shop. One time I had to physically go to the Enfield warehouse on Christmas eve eve, to pick up a parcel because they are so freaking bad. They require ID and proof of address at pick up location WITHOUT stating they need proof of address. Who carries paper copies in 2022. Honestly. Worst drivers, stupid policies, disfunctional. You are worse than Hermes and they even steal packages...!

Had 2 delivery's from DPD this past month. The first one never actually bothered to try my house (I had taken the afternoon off work to ensure I was home) and just took it straight to the local depot where I couldn't pick it up over the weekend. The second, refused the parcel because it 'doesn't have a house number on the parcel ' which is a full lie because its in big bold writing, its in the confirmation email they sent me and is also on the app. Again having to wait until Monday to go pick it up. What's the point in paying for at home next day delivery when it doesn't get delivered to your house and you cant recieve the parcel the next day? Was also on hold for 20 minutes before I could get get to anybody. Complete waste of time

Parcel arrived a day earlier than accepted, no attempt was made to leave it with our (always accommodating) neighbour. No option to rearrange delivery was made, instead it was taken to a DPD pick up shop some distance away that is only open during weekday office hours, i.e. when I am working. I have absolutely no way to collect my parcel within the 7 day deadline. According to DPD customer services this is a wonderful 'new service' and they are unable to assist.

This is by far the worst delivery experience I have ever had. I paid extra for next day delivery for some time sensitive goods that I needed before Tuesday 3rd may. I placed the order on Wednesday 27th and the seller dispatched them the same day. The DPD driver rang my ring doorbell, and I asked them to leave it with my neighbour who I had already checked was in and at home before I left. I spoke to the driver via the doorbell and asked him to drop it off at number 40, my next door neighbour. He said “no problem”. Then I watched the driver via my ring doorbell just get back into his van and drive off. I tried to contact DPD but they kept purposely cutting me off of the chat, meaning I'd get a new operator and start again. 3 hours of this later and I was forced to pay another £9.99 to upgrade my delivery to a weekend delivery. Today, I get the message that it's been delayed and won't arrive until Tuesday. I have tried to ask for a refund, but now there are no operators on the chat, the phone lines do not go through to a human and there is no other way to contact or complain. On the same day, I get another email for another parcel. "We attempted your delivery today but no one was in, we've left it at a supermarket for you to collect instead" This supermarket will cost me £35 for a taxi to take me there and back. I do not give permission for my parcel to be there. I have had to contact the company I bought the goods from and ask for a full refund. I eventually managed to get through to a human on the phone line but customer services were unwilling to help me in any way. They were also unwilling to refund me for the £9.99 I'd paid for the upgraded weekend delivery. No one was in because it was a business address and it was supposed to be delivered on the 29th and there was no mention or warning of a delivery coming today. I had to file a dispute via PayPal to get the refund. This is why I will never use DPD as the courier for my business. We send over 700 parcels a day via DHL. Your sales managers keep calling me but there is no chance of me ever signing up and putting my customers through this. I currently have one parcel at a supermarket somewhere that I can’t get to, I’ve had to contact the seller and ask them to repost me new goods using a different courier. And another parcel at your delivery depot, which is now useless to me. So I had to contact the seller who have now refunded me in full, and they have said they will be claiming for the losses from DPD. Business is about making life easier for your customers, making life impossible for your customers is a certain way to lose them. I’ll be leaving reviews absolutely everywhere, and I’ll update the reviews to let them know what DPD have done (should they do anything) to resolve this. Currently the customer services department are 100% completely unwilling to helpo in any way. They simply say “Yes your parcel is available to collect at Morrisons from May 3rd” “You will have to contact the seller to complain” Absolutely shocking. I would like to take this further, so I would appreciate a reply. The parcel numbers are: 15505715759770 & 15504510781912 Kind regards. Nathan.

Let down on dozens of occasions. Own a 24hr manned bar with good access. Have multiple deliveries every day and over half the occasions it’s DPD I get a lie saying I wasn’t in. All regular suppliers have retained their contracts with me under condition my orders automatically state DPD will not be accepted. Just ordered from a new supplier on trial and DPD with the same lie. Having to cancel the order. This is a company not to rely on, they will loose you customers

Two deliveries in a row delivered to a completely different street to mine. No comment on the first but the second said on the tracking I had received it with a photo of a front door that's not mine and lying when it started that I actually signed for it !!!!! Thankfully each person who got my goods through their letterbox brought them to me, doing the delivery drivers job. What's the point of employing these drivers if they dont want to do the job. Wheres the question below for items never turned up.
