Worst "delivery" company I've ever had the misery of having to deal with. (And considering delivery is their sole purpose, DPD don't ever seem to be able to deliver anything but bafflement and frustration.) Time and time and time again DPD somehow manage to louse up my delivery - usually it's drivers who just can't be bothered to walk the flight of stairs up to my flat. (I've even caught them taking the 'sorry we missed you' photo from the car park on multiple occasions.) Royal Mail manage it with no drama. Domino's Pizza likewise. Even pained conversations with Uber Eats drivers get here in the end. Even Evri. EVEN Evri. But when I get a DPD tracking number my heart just sinks because I know it's going to be like running the Spartathlon to even be in with a chance of intercepting my delivery. Walking up to a customer's property and knocking on their door is a CRUCIAL part of delivering something - I don't deliver things and don't claim to be an expert on deliveries, but I *just know* that. I'm not sure how one of the world's "leading parcel delivery networks" fails to cover this in their driver training. Customer service is similarly appalling - usually it's just 'we can't help you' or 'your parcel has been delivered to a shop 2 miles down the road'. 'It's a big parcel and that won't work for me, can you come back tomorrow?' 'No we cannot but your sender is aware.' Okay so that solves my problem then does it? Tell you what, send me a uniform and put me on your payroll and I'll happily deliver my own parcels to myself shall I? Have made formal complaints in the past. Never get anything back. And don't even try and brag about your CO² emissions - with the amount of times you're having to unnecessarily go back and forth to return parcels to senders, you're about as environmentally aware as thermonuclear warfare. Here's a tip DPD: if you don't like delivering things maybe consider stepping away from being a delivery company? Until next time I'm doubtlessly forced to deal with you.

Wouldn’t even give them a star but zero stars isn’t an option on this site. Awful service 98% of my parcels are never delivered with ‘sorry we missed you’ emails when I’m in the whole time. they don’t even bother to come to the property (security camera can prove this). Wish companies didn’t use them.

The DPD drivers in general are just lazy, useless and rude. There has been far too many occurrences where they park all over the road or diagonally across pavements, and even in the middle of the road. They have no consideration of people around them. Furthermore, when delivering parcels they don't even take the time to wait for you to answer the door. They ring the bell and wait about 5 seconds before they either leave the parcel at the front door, which is clearly not a safe spot; or they just leave and say nobody was home. I even specified a safe spot in the garden and they don't even use it. It is honestly terrible service and I will avoid using DPD as much as I can in future. I can't wait for drone deliveries to take their jobs because the service will improve 10-fold.

I ordered a home gym and accessories from high street TV and was advised my delivery would be through DPD. To make things less laborious and due to the amount of Calamitous errors made by DPD I shall bullet point. 1) Waited in for delivery nothing arrived during window. DPD continued to advise driver a little behind. Waited all evening and didn't arrive. 2) contacted DPD who advised me my item would arrive tomorrow. 3) delivery was made but only for 2 accessories and not the gym. Driver stated I would have to phone DPD. 4) phoned DPD had difficulty due to operatives English language limitations. She stated that they would send me gym tomorrow. 5) waited in for 3rd day and nothing arrived. Complained to DPD and high street TV. 6) high street TV advised me that gym would arrive tomorrow. 7) Gym did not arrive after waiting 4th time. 8) contacted High st TV who advised they would investigate. Got back to me stated DPD finally admitted they had damaged the item seriously. By now me and high at TV are fuming and cannot believe the utter incompetence. Still no contact to me from DPD and no apology. 9) High st TV advised they will send me another gym and pay for next day delivery. 10) waited for delivery for 5th time and recieved a message from DPD advising me my delivery would not be made. 11) Advised High st TV who are really struggling to believe this is possible especially as they had paid for next day delivery. They contacted DPD who advised them that the second gym has now been damaged! 12) Geoff contacted me and told me that yet again DPD had stated they will deliver tomorrow. So gym eventually arrived after 6 desperate delivery promises being made resulting in much inconvenience for me and much expense to high st TV. As of yet despite a complaint and contact DPD have made no contact and offered no apology or explanation. People have mentioned that due to me putting on a poor rating early on in this farce the further calamitous incompetence was possibly deliberate. I am not sure of that but I am struggling to believe a company as large as DPD can be that incapable of safely delivering a parcel within the UK.So I am now refusing to buy from sellers who use DPD and yes I may be cutting my nose off but I refuse to go through the stress and inconvenience that I was put through without any form of apology again. So if you want to sit in waiting for 6 days getting third party promises of delivery, have your items damaged and your complaints not piercing the thick skin of them, then give DPD a try. If not go elsewhere! I certainly think high st TV are looking at the contract they have with them.

3 supposed attempted deliveries ...all of which i was at home waiting for them ....last one supposedly called at 8.02 pm .... but according to their tracker the van was over a mile away ! ..... impossible to actually speak to a real person ....believe me i have tried ..... shockingly hopless company but seems to be pretty standard for private delivery companies in the UK

Drivers are incredibly rude. On item pickup they simply shout "hello" without ringing the doorbell then leave immediately, not even leaving time for me to leave my front door. You can't leave a complain either. Horrid service all round

I hate this company to my core and if I knew they’d be the one to deliver my Amazon package I wouldn’t have made the purchase. The delivery driver did not attempt a delivery, instead they put that the item was refused; due to putting the refused status a re-delivery attempt can’t be made and my package will be returned to vendor. I preempted this because I had a prior issue RE delivery last year with them. If I see DPD as the courier service when shopping I never buy the item(s) because they are full of it. I wish I had knew they’d be the one to deliver my Amazon package before hand

I have a weekly delivery from HelloFresh who recently switched to using DPD to deliver. 3 times the box has been delivered to the wrong address, every time it is a place further away from where I live, with the last being a place I do not recognise. And last week, the driver did not even deliver the box. There was no delivery attempt made and the tracking details showed it was being sent back to the sender? I have delivery instructions and directions to my place (as it is a bit hidden away) but it seems they are just ignored. Never had this issue when Evri delivered the boxes, despite it being notorious for having a bad delivery service.

The driver arrived, got out of his van & looked at us talking to another driver on our doorstep. He then got in his van and drove off! All on ring camera. No attempt was made to deliver our parcel!

I wish 0 stars was an option! Yet again, let down by DPD, perishable goods having to be returned to sender due to their inability to make deliveries on correct dates. This is the 2nd time this has happened to us in a month with two different deliveries from two different senders.

If I could give DPD zero stars, I would. Literally everything that could go wrong with a delivery went wrong with their incompetent service. First, they didn't even bother to ring the bell when delivering my parcel and just claimed no one was home, which is a blatant lie because everyone was at home. Just admit that your driver didn’t ring the bell. Then, instead of leaving the parcel in a secure location or making a second attempt, they decided to return it to my original address—an address I had already moved out of! I contacted DPD via live chat, and after explaining the situation, they assured me the address had been updated and the parcel would be sent to my friend's place within the same city. I thought the problem was resolved, only to receive a text from my old reception while I was on a plane, saying that I had parcels waiting for me there. Unbelievable. DPD is absolutely useless, and I’ll never trust them with a delivery again. Avoid this company at all costs.

We haven't received our parcel yet and the rubbish excuses I have been given, from, 1 : driver couldn't find our address, 2 : didn't have our phone number., 3 : unable to contact driver, even following day. 4 : day wasted waiting in and not even contacted to say no delivery. Excuses don't wash. Following day told by another assistant, parcel is lost, sender has to raise issue. No help to me.. At least one assistant told the truth.

Terrible service from DPD. On three separate occasions parcels were to be collected from my home address and on all three occasions I had a message informing me that there was nothing to collect. On the third attempt to collect my parcels I watched the driver from my window slow down pass my house and take a picture of my house from his driver seat. He never stopped he never got out of his van and he didn’t knock at my door. I have to keep rearranging for the parcels to be collected making me look like I am at fault. This morning after rearranging for the parcels to be picked I again watched from my bedroom window and the same thing happened, driver slowed down took a picture and drove on pass. I then went out and waited for him to come back and had to wave him down. He assured me that he knocked. He was very unhelpful saying that he would be back this afternoons (did he think I was an idiot as if he was going to come back- I don’t think so) I stood my ground an insisted that he took the parcels, he was not very happy because he had already informed the depot that there was nothing to be collected. These drivers are taking us for fools. Do Not Use DPD.

Their collection service is a mess. The same driver attended 3 days in a row and didn't ring my bell. I think he drives by and takes photos for ‘sorry we missed you’ was home on all occasions

Absolutely awful. After wasting 3 days I never received my item even after requesting to leave my item in safe place. DPD could learn from Amazon and Evri how to run delivery services.
