“When I placed the order for my contract online I asked for insurance, have the email receipt and everything to prove it however after someone from EE phoned to make a batter deal I obviously took that deal and when they placed that order they must have forgot to put insurance on (I’m sure that’s an honest mistake) however after I broke my phone and called to get it replaced I was told I didn’t have insurance (I hadn’t been paying for it but wasn’t paying attention to what I was paying) after numerous calls and complaints trying to get them to fix their mistake they tell me that even though they made the mistake they are not going to add insurance to the account because it’s passed the 90 day mark. Just want to finish my contract and be rid of them”
“Shocking customer service for 4G Internet
Opened a 4G Internet account with EE paying £150 for the router and £55 per month internet. The router has been working on/off since March 25th 2022. Internet cuts out constantly with slow speeds. Then finally the router broke and we couldn’t get connected with any of our devices at home. Rang EE who said they can’t offer a replacement router or send out a technician!!
The only service they could offer us is that the router get sent back to be repaired and that it would take 7-10 days!! I argued countless times why can’t they send out a replacement router in the interim express delivery - nothing! They say sorry it’s not protocol on the account and all we can offer you is a replacement 7–10 days. We both run our business from home and that was stated but representatives didn’t care and said it’s all we can offer you. So in short stay well clear of EE’s shocking customer support! And don’t sign up for 4G Internet unless you want to have any issues which you will as routers are shockingly basic and inferior devices, so when it breaks and it will you will be without internet for 7-10 days - no express repair service / no replacement interim router / no replacement device whatsoever!
Shocking experience with EE customer services and ridiculous to not send out a replacement router until ours is fixed. It’s not my fault that the router is inferior.
Avoid at all costs - customer service is shocking!!”
“Terrible signal and even worse customer service. I can't get signal in the second biggest city in the UK and I'm told that it isn't EE's problem as they don't 'guarantee' signal. Only solution offered was for me to pay for additional broadband to be able to make calls via WIFI. Absolutely shocking! Also told the issue us due to and ongoing dispute with a local farmer about a mast! I do not feel this is my problem and feel that EE should have honoured cancelling my contract so that I can go to a network that actually provides the service they promise which has been ongoing for 5 months, as well as some decent customer service! Extremely poor network which I would never use again or recommend to anybody! Disgraceful!”
“Avoid this company.
They text to say you can have a "free early upgrade." Then try to make you pay £50 for the privilege.
Last contract was £20 for a "free" upgrade reduced to £10 when I queried it.
The contract before that I got a "free" tablet, that was an extra £8 a month I didn't realise I was paying.
I won't be renewing with ee this year and I'll cancel my direct debit at the end of my contract, simply cos I don't trust them.”
“Really expensive compared to others. Extremely unhelpful when you call and need help. They messages you send saying if you are struggling they are there to help in any way. A load of rubbish. I definitely would not recommend. They do not care about their customers at all. Stay away.”
“Extremely expensive mobile broadband, 50gb for over £60 a month, when they offered business customers unlimited data. To add insult to injury, when the device they supplied failed, they accused me of having got it elsewhere, despite no evidence to back up their lies.”
“Disgusting behaviour l had £168 as interest added l had a sim card for my grandson l asked them to stop the account as my grandson no longer needed it l threw the sim away because I refused to pay £39.90 they sold that amount the debt firm have taken a 39.90 bill up to £194 60p I'm a poor struggling state pensioner l have had my heating cut off as l can't afford it shame on ee who have refused to help putting more stress and pressure on my poor health l can hardly walk before you consider a phone or contact don't take out ee who are greedy avoid this company”
“Was such a good sevice upon a time bit unfortunately it has become quite apparent that they do not care about their customers I have had an issue with my services for arround a year had cube engineers, but open reach they say move router to here or there blame others and home equipment ect, they lie to you and give you the wrong information don't trust them. I have phoned them they sent cube engineer out to me and even the engineer said its not the equipment in my home they continue to blame bt open reach for things which that isn't our customers problems it's their problem not mine I refuse to accept the perfectic excuses and I'm not paying for a farari but only get an old clapped out fiesta ee it's about time you started to take responsibility and stop blaming other and stop lieing to you customers please everyone stay away don't be silly find a better supplier and don't pay money to these people if you do you will regret It. Lag, intermittent connections , poor service, lies and day light robbery.”
“AVOID AT ALL COST. Been their customer fro 13 years! While it wasn’t perfect I liked being with them. Now! They are scamming people! Cutting service! No 4G at home and they send you adds for broadband while you are paying for unlimited data at the same time! You are left to face £600! Fee to leave and find service who can provide you with what you pay for…. Or stay with them and have no signal at home!”
“Absolutely appalling business help, I've just spent 25 minutes to be told to go to the website however the website does not have the relevant information or information of how to do anything except give them money, Each month since my contract started I have received bills for anywhere between 50 and 150% more than my contract agreement and each time I have had to call them which takes until fruition approx two hours, they even had the audacity to transfer me to another department which was charged for and added to my following bill. I honestly think they are scammers who think customers are complacent But if you call them they put every obstical in your way and hope you will give up p.s. I've spent possibly 24hours in total sorting 'rip off' bills from ee Always their error. I'm busy and value time which they have wasted, B#=&sd's”
“BEWARE! Appalling Mobile phone company who are now trying to extort large amounts of money from people leaving them - despite being out of Contract!!!!!
Do NOT go near them!”
“EE is a terrible company. From the inception of my contract I've had problems with them and their services. I reported this to them only to put me through to tech. These problems persisted with the service for the whole year I've regularly contacted them about the problems and followed every type of reset a device and network settings can have. Last week I drop my device while exiting my car. A few days later service issues again. I contact EE go through to tech report the service issues again and explained that I've recently dropped the device but as you can see from the history I've had regularly problems with the service. It was heavily insinuated that I was tring to defraud them. I'm in complete disbelieve at this brazen attempt to not address the issues with the non existent service for 12 months. Then to add the insult "You could have dropped your phone on day one" was one of the replies. Considering I have an upgrade anytime account and have several devices and many year service across multiple devices I'm disgusted at my treatment by EE and the insinuations made.”
“Truly awful!! Dismissive, patronising, arrogant and misleading! No due care the customer.
After 14 years with EE/orange a telephone awful experience. Contract ended in Feb 2022, spent the next few weeks doung my due dillangance on offers, vustinfb the stores and reasearching online. I decided to stay and used the ee app to secure my new contract. The offer CLEARLY advertised FREE earbuds, apple TV 6 months and discount of approx £14 when I trade in my old phone in any condition, I signed up and paid £30 for the phone to get ball moving.
Phone was sent to my work address from 5 years ago, along with return jiffybag. I called and got this changed and checked on my deal to see how I claim the extras. A discount was already applied without receiving the phone. Got told the ear bud offer was only valid via Samsung site and was date specific, NONE of this was on the site, Laura changed my start date and advised would send a new proof of purchase to apologise about misleading offer which should of been removed and set my apple TV login up, she gave me and email to contact her if any issues. None of above was done and after a week of emails to her I called up and spoke to a manger. He was short, patronising and told me the offer is irrelevant if dates passed can't do anything, she did wrong by promising a new start date and said I need to speak to apple TV to get that resolved. I wasn't happy and asked to take nect steps as I was clearly mislead massively and made lots of false promises.
The complaints advisor said in not too many words be lucky I've already got the discount on my account, as for the buds nor eligible now and the only reason I had seem the offer clearly stated above the phone option was for people that had ready taken out the offer and for them to revert to if they have forgot on any details...what a crock!! Why would anyone go back to the upgrades page where you make a purchase to check, what a load of rubbish. I advised I'm sorry but I'm going to have go write a complaint to marc allera the ceo, only to be told by the complaints handler, "that's fine I'll reply to that anyway" what a mess of situation, fuming as I spent so long finishing the best offer and given such a horrendous service”
“Shocking service from day 1. Been trying to sort things out and raised issues even during my 14 day cooling off period. No o e gets back to you. Raised a complaint and advised omaints manager will call you back between 48-72 hours. We'll 108 plus hours later and STILL NO call back. They say it will cost me £500 to terminate my contract. Yeah right got all the email trails so off to thr ombudsmen I go.”
“The worst. Keep charging me for my free text messages, calls and allowances when it is included. Every single month. Awful terrible customer service. Last one a girl called Bryony.”
“All I can say is this company is full of sweet talk liars. After cancelling my contract which they said it will be cancelled from next month but it’s been two months still taking money from my account and when I called them they said it’s not cancelled all they can say now is we are sorry. What a joke. No more ee it’s rubbish”
