Main requirement was a home charging unit that looked small and not too noticeable on the front of the house. The EO Mini was the only one we found that fitted the bill. Especially as it came in grey. Worked perfectly for almost a year until we hit a problem which meant it wouldn’t charge. The unit was replaced promptly without charge thanks to the excellent support from the EO team.

Purchased a (used) EO Mini Pro 2, used an EO approved installer for the install. Working fine as a Dumb charger, but we my installer went to install commission the smarts, he got a "you are not have permission to configure this...." message. Should be an easy fix for support, but 3 months & 6 follow ups later, no progress has been made.

Avoid at all costs. Nothing but problems since February 2024 when software support from Juucenet/Enel X Way was withdrawn. Have contacted helpline countless times and NEVER had a call back. Charger has not worked since February. Company recommended by EO for a repair charged me £92.50 + VAT for a call out to inform me that the unit was obsolete and had been so from when it was installed. I have been offered a derisory discount off a new unit but am loathe to try to deal with this company again. I have contacted RIP OFF BRITAIN and would encourage other dissatisfied customers to do likewise as it is only when the scale of the problems are addressed that anything might be done. Copy of the visiting engineer's report below. I’m sorry we couldn’t fix your charge point when we visited on the 5th April. We ran all of the tests we could and checked over all of the components that can typically fail on these units but there was no obvious hardware issue. Specifically, we tested the incoming voltage, continuity on the CP line and through the charging connections and they all seemed correct. The issue as far as we could tell is the software that operates the charge point no longer instructing the charge point to deliver power to the vehicle. This software is provided through a 3rd Party App (EV JuiceNet) and unfortunately is no longer supported. I have copied EO support to this email who can advise you of your options from here and I have just spoken to them on the phone to give them a heads up. As a company we have only installed >10 of the EO Mini Pro 1 as it was replaced with the EO Smart Home in early 2020, followed by the EO Mini Pro 2 and now the EO Mini Pro 3.

I cannot use my charger and I have been trying to get an response from EO customer services for 5 weeks. The people who answer the phone can only pass on a message and no-one phones back. Their customer service is non-existant.

As of almost two years ago I reported that the solar charging mode on my EO mini pro 2 was not operating as it should. Instead of diverting excess solar to the car down to a minimum of 6A and then topping up from the grid, now whatever the excess solar an almost identical amount of current is taken from the grid. This makes it impossible to use solar to charge the car without huge expense!. I have reported this, a case number was issued and somebody did visit but felt it required further investigation. That was 2 years ago. Nothing since so not impressed with EO customer service.

I submitted 2 separate tickets on issues associated with charging in early May 2024. I received acknowledgement of the tickets but there has been no further information or contact from them. Absolutely appalling customer service - you will be left totally on your own. Totally avoid this organisation.

I installed an EO Minipro 2 but it won't initialize. I have tried calling (no answer), emailing (no reply except to say a ticket is opened), and that insufferable bot that goes around in circles. I resorted to selecting the sales option on the phone and she simply said she'd send an internal email to them and ask them to call me. Three weeks and still no call. Something is seriously up with this company. One star is one too many.

Firstly EO decide to make existing mini pro 1 obsolete, no app support anymore. So I took the offered upgrade (big mistake). Took 6 weeks to install (double expected timeframe), and within a few weeks I got the a red LED (failed). Reset box, no joy. Opened a trouble ticket and have had zero response. It has started working again, but I have still heard nothing. Shockingly bad support, no future proofing, and what appears to be a couldn't care less attitude. I would steer clear of this company, utterly unprofessional

Had the Mini pro 3 untethered installed despite me ordering a tethered one. Got my EV 1 week ago now and not been able to charge the car at home. Unit says it will start charging when cable is plugged in (it is plugged in) so the car isn’t get any charge what so ever. I have tried different cables and none of them work on my home charger yet I can charge my car at other peoples houses and use rapid chargers at the roadside so process of elimination points to the EO mini pro charger at fault. I submitted an online form 1 week ago and have heard nothing since. I’d normally say very poor customer service but the fact that it is none existent makes its difficult to rate it poor.

After my first charger was an out of box failure I received a second in record time however this one would not connect to WiFi. I did find an over voltage issue at my property which has been rectified but I must add that National Grid felt that the 240 to 153Volts fluctuation was acceptable but they changed it any way. They did also add that other manufacturers have been known to adjust the tolerance of the box if required. Since the adjustment my charger no longer trip however the WiFi issue still remain!! The last call that was answered, I asked them what the next steps would be to correct my situation and I was told that I would receive an email.. this was now 2 weeks ago and every time I call the message informs me that they can’t take the call and I should email.. guess what… I’ve done this twice since then and had an automated response initially but now complete silence.. I can’t find a number to call and my emails remain un answered. Consequently, I have an EO charger on my wall which I can’t program so I am left with a permanent charge point that anybody can drop onto. I’ve had to program the car to only accept charge between certain hours. Anybody have any idea what I should do next? I will be taking this further for sure!

The unit is 4-5 months old and constantly fails to charge when scheduled to overnight. It also constantly needs rebooting. (at least 2-3 times per week) Have been talking to/emailing Customer service for over a week now and ever since they "changed some settings" the unit doesn't charge at all anymore. Don't buy a mini-pro3 if you actually need to charge your car

Would give 0 if I could. Ripped me off in Swan Street, Coventry. Charger connected and went green. Returned 3 hours later and had 0.01kw/h for £6. Thought a refund would be simple but No! Apparently it's the fault of Coventry City Council?! Then they have the cheek to try and take £25 from my bank.

EO have withdrawn all support for the first generation charger. This removes its smart capability and makes it essentially a dumb plug. I accept that updates may stop after a time (not that there have actually been any) but removing functionality is utterly unacceptable. I bought it as a smart charger and the uk government subsidised it on that basis. I suspect this will be the pattern for the future. Their answer when people complain seems to be to ask them to pay them £750 for a new one. Talk about adding insult to injury. Shocking behavior and definitely a company to avoid at all costs.

A Good charger , but connection problems have always been an issue with the unit since installation 2021. Had a type 1 tethered cable. In hindsight, it should’ve been is a type two socket. As ev upgrade to type 2 car mean replacement charger now required and company is slow in providing a replacement cost.

Just going around in circles trying to get my charger to work. Contacting the company takes some degree of patience. None of the apps want to work, that’s if Safari can find them. Am going to buy another that works. This time will pay closer attention to reviews.

Terrible charger, very similar experiences to Charles below. I cannot get it to charge the car at all on scheduled charging, and once it fails on that it won't charge on any other mode too. App says it's charging but it isn't actually delivering current. Only way I can get it to charge the car is to reset it at the fuse/GARO box and then it kicks into life. Absolutely appalling level of service - app hasn't changed in the 2-3 years we've had it, no firmware updates, customer support impossible to get hold of, when you get on live chat they run through long scripts which essentially are "have you plugged it in/can you unplug it and try again". I've now got close to a grand worth of a charger on my wall which is as good as having a power socket and that's about it.

We have had our EO Mini Pro 2 charger for 2.5 years and have had intermittent issues throughout. i. Car plugged in and saying it is connected but the app says the car isn't plugged in, thus the car does not charge ii. Car plugged in and app recognising that the car is connected, but then the car does not charge according to the schedule iii. Car plugged in and app recognising that the car is connected, the car charges according to the schedule but at a much lower rate meaning much less charge is delivered than expected iv. Car plugged in and app recognising that that the car is connected, but they will suddenly disconnect cutting a charge short. If lucky, they do sometimes reconnect themselves and some more charge is delivered according to the schedule v. The 'Solar PV' mode is not fit for purpose. It simply does not work. You may as well save your money on the extra installation cost and use the car's 3 pin 'granny' charger instead Several times I've woken to find the car doesn't have sufficient charge for me to either get to work at all in the morning, or not enough for me to get home as well. Now, the big problem is that the charger seems to work reliably for several months but then any of the above issues (i-iv) can occur, and when they do then they stick around for a while. Then they can if you're lucky mysteriously disappear before EO customer support actually bothers to reply (the customer service is incredibly slow to respond, 3 months waiting for a reply is so far the record - by which time the issue had somehow resolved itself). Note: immediately after the charger was installed support was very good from Dan and he worked hard to resolve the first wave of issues we had, but after that I find that the support is appallingly slow to respond. Anyway, I once again have a device that will not charge the car at all ((i) on the list above, so I'm having to use a public charger to get to work tomorrow). I cannot recommend this company or charger at all.
