"I did a price comparison, esure came out as the cheapest, it was only later I checked on a different comparison site found the same insurance £30 quid cheaper, my advice do more than one search, or even call the insurance companies direct, they sometimes surprise you with their amended quotes"

My 1st accident claim in 6 years, I cannot believe I have been with such an incompetent company for this length of time if I knew how bad the customer service was. Or lack of. Having the chase them repeatedly, no call backs with updates. Having to call them many times with being on hold for up to an hour and no apology when expressed my concerns of any issues I am coming across. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Stay clear.

Very difficult to opt out of autorenew. The only way is by phone! You can imagine the wait, recorded messages etc. "You are important to us" etc! And then when you do finally get a person and insist, despite all the "we can look at it again". Later you go back to your online details and you're still listed as autorenew!

"Haven’t made a claim so unsure how that situation would turn out. Paying a monthly payment as another expensive for me to pay outright. Time will tell how good they are. "

After many years with esure, this is definitely my last. The one time I have to make a claim, they are completely useless at anything. My car was undriveable after an accident and recovered by the police and despite their aim to get you a courtesy car within 2 days, they fail to tell you that you can only have one when the repair shop get your car. Over a week later and despite being on hold everyday for over an hour to be told it's being collected that day, the car is still at the recovery yard and no contact has been made to collect. Every advisor says the same thing, they can't put a date or commitment on anything. So in short, esure are great until you have a claim. If you are thinking about using them, just AVOID.

Used them a couple of times now. Always left me feeling satisfied that I had a sound policy. Perhaps its the Five Star Defacto element that makes me feel I am getting a sound product. The policy paperwork has a reassuring layout and I can't help feeling that I was purchasing something good. I review my insurances every year, a process that I don't look forward to, and am careful to weigh up the all the factors involved. Inevitably, I always try to purchase through Top Cashback and a comparison site, which in combination, gives me the most favourable price. Esure is generally near the top of the list. It has to be said that all the Insurance providers make it difficult to select as most seem to vary their prices continually during the weeks leading up to renewal, and sometimes even during the same day. It gets very frustrating, and I don't think the new rules that came into play in Jan of this year really work for renewals ! The example this year, with Esure, shows that my premium had increased by £50, and the same policy could be purchased via a comparison site considerably cheaper. I think what the customer wants is confidence in the system. The new rules seem to make no difference whatsoever. I have noticed with Esure and other policies that recommended rebuild costs for Buildings cover have increased dramatically this year. Over the years it has always been emphasised, that the rebuild value in a buildings policy, should (and rightly so) be considerably less than the value of the property. I am finding that Esure is not alone in suggesting that my £600,000 house should have a rebuild price of £550,000. This seems to be common now in most Buildings policies this year, and I can only assume that this is a loophole justifying increased policy prices. When cancelling my policy with Esure this year I found that the online Chat system highly effective and speedy, and far preferable to a telephone conversation.

"I cancelled the policy with 3 months to go as I had sold my car, also cancelled DD. I got a threatening email and letter, Bailiffs etc. Then got told it was £39.90 to cancel policy after getting on the phone. No apologies and threatening. When I get another car will definitely never use again, disgusting behaviour. "

I thought this insurance company was a reputable company but unfortunately it really isn’t. Had a crash a week ago today unfortunately I’m still waiting for a courtesy car the customer service line I’ve called more than 12 occasions to be put on hold then put through to another call centre operator that then asks for all information again repeatedly. I would of given zero stars for this but that’s not an option also the garages that they use to repair my car are also just as useless I’ve called them on a number of occasions to be told they don’t have any cars available (Gemini Arc ) so then was told they would outsource a vehicle from enterprise cars , Gemini gave me a reference number to give enterprise a call and quote this reference enterprise didn’t have a clue about the reservation so I’m still stuck getting Uber’s everywhere I still have to work and take my children go school and have been offered nothing . If I were you reading this I’d take note and stay away from both Esure and Gemini arc garages your wasting money using these companies

"Obviously policies could be cheaper in this day and age when everyone wants your money but esure as a company is a good respected insurance company
It’s hard sometimes to come away from a good company but presently I think people are going for a saving over other qualities
Esure beats most companies but purse strings are important
Hope this is okay saying this "
