Avoid this company paid last year £330, they send me a renewal letter with £600. When I call to don't renew the adviser Pipa turn off the call, poor costumer services.

Yes I agree with the previous reviewer - in my wife's case they sent her a renewal for £900 when the previous year it was £400. On contacting Direct Line we obtained insurance fir £230 ! (and on checking the less favourable reviews on 'Trustpilot' it seems esure do this financial trick with other customers). Direct Line Great. Esure cannot be trusted.

Would give 0 stars if I could bunch of con artists, cancel my policy twice with no reason then lock my account so I cant change vehicle then to top it off tell me they're canceling my policy cause they're is an error with the account! STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!

They are not contactable over the weekend so make sure you only have an accident Monday to Friday! They Couldn't provide a hire car for 48 hours and the courtesy car provided by the repairer will be a 3 door nissan micra not the same size as the car you have. The staff on the phone are totally unhelpful and unsympathetic. I will never use esure again and would advise anyone to avoid them too. Insurers are only as good as the support they give you when you need them. A lesson learnt!

Phoned a couple of times to ask them.to change my email address but they failed to do this, they dont take the payments when it is due and then make out it's the banks fault and then they send a letter out to say they want the full amount. Not a very good company

Shocking car insurance company took payment from my bank account then cancelled my insurance 2 days later and didn't inform me for 6 days! 6 days of driving with NO insurance then when I phoned to complain they have no complaints department and no manager to speak to will never use esure again customer service is shocking!!

Have esure home insurance, we got burgled on the 2nd November, called police fingerprinted house next day , called esure to make claim with list of stuff stolen, made it very difficult as did not have receipts for some of the the older items so they won’t payout, esure sent an independent lose adjuster who in his words where “ I can’t believe there not paying out this is a straight forward calm and if I was you I’d complain “ now having more stress having to go to the ombudsman, rude staff

Esure even if you sold your car they make incredibly difficult to cancel your insurance. If you happened to be involved in an accident it’s extremely difficult to cancel your insurance. It seems like a money grab regardless...it doesn’t seem they are working for your interest even when you cooperating with them on whose at fault. Once this is eventually resolved doubtful l will sign up again...NO WAY!

Absolutely disgusted at charges for first of all a number plate change ( on same vehicle) at a charge of £26:00 - then 10 days later after I sold the car a cancellation charge of £45 I had two cars insured with esure ... NEVER AGAIN !!! Other reputable insurers allow plate changes on same vehicle at no charge and allow amends on line . Esure do not allow this online amend and probably charge for the phone call too ( some 16 minutes hanging on listening to irrelevant options before speaking to someone) A very unhappy experience and one never to repeat !!

My partner Janice called Esure today to ask for a house insurance quote. This was because unfortunately through no fault of our own, we could not do an online quote because there website wouldn't except the address of our new home. We were further told that because we had called we would only receive a 10% discount and not the 20% discount promised to online customers. After explaining our online issues to the sales advisor he advised us that the 10% discount was all he could offer. At the time,this was acceptable as we only wanted a quote. After approximately 38 minutes of the usual questions, we received our quote and said our goodbyes The sales advisor obviously thought he had cancelled the call when he commented to his colleague “She was a f@#king pain in the arse.” We both heard this very clearly. We have been a customer of esure for a number of yours and to say I was disgusted is and understatement. So much for esure’s “friendly staff who provide great customer service.”

I am currently going through an insurance claim with them at the moment (they are my insurer) had to wait 6 days for a courtesy car which is not helpful when i need to get to work!! have a dashcam with video evidence of the accident and have now been told the party at fault are disputing the accident (they don't know about the video evidence) which when I told a representative of esure I had this evidence they asked if I was an expert on speed!! sorry I am your customer you are to represent me, cut the rude attitude and get on with the job i pay you alot of money for. Will never use again wouldn't recommend

Avoid them like the plague!! I have been driving since I was 17 and now I’m 43, with a clean history of driving (no accidents) In June 2018 I was involved in a car accident where I was stationary whilst waiting to turn right. A driver hit me in the back of my car and my car was written off. The third party took responsibility, so you would assume this would be clear cut. My car insurance was up for renewal within a few weeks of the accident and we needed to buy a car in a rush because I have elderly parents that I care for and we always go on a driving holiday. Esure firstly messed us around by not giving us a replacement vehicle for 10 days, they were quite rude to deal with except for one member of staff. As renewal was coming up I called them for a quote and they ‘PROMISED’ that once they had received their money back from the other insurance company they would re-evaluate our current price and refund the difference. Bearing in ind I’ve been with them for quite a few years and I have 12 years NCB. my usual annual price is £550, I paid them £1600 or so with the expectation that they were going to re-evaluate as they said. One year later once they finally get their money back we are given £150 refund. Shocked can not describe my feelings around this, considering that over the course of the year and many phone calls they reassured me that they would refund me the difference. Long story short don’t trust them! They will make money off of your unfortunate circumstance. Apparently once you are involved in an accident you are statistically likely to have another accident, I still don’t understand why I would be punished for an accident that wasn’t my fault and how comes my new insurance is once again £550? Esure are the losers because now they’ve lost a good customer. Final comment what’s the point of paying NCB if my premium has changed because of an accident that wasn’t my FAULT! All I can say is stay away from them! Cheap, but definitely not cheerful!

Had to deal with third party negotiation team due to a non fault accident caused by someone who was insured with esure. There was no negotiation just take it or leave it and I quote “ you are not our customer so you have no rights “. Completely unacceptable. I just hope all these people who are saying it’s easy to insure their car realise that it won’t be so easy to deal with them when making a claim. Fortunately my insurance company were fantastic and I certainly won’t have any dealings with Esure again ( if I can help it)

I had my car insured with this company for years. The first time I made a claim last week and was treated badly by their customer service. While i am giving the details of car theft , she asked me to call somebody else as I can not speak English, That m ount to harassment and discriminatory behaviour.

Cancel policy with no warning or real reason Absolutely shocking. Had email off sure saying missed payment by email and needed to pay before 16th October what was fine so called up on 8th to pay to find out had all ready been cancelled and if wanted to finish year with them needed to pay full policy up. I talked to manager and sent his email saying I had till 16th to pay £58 to get back up to date and he was.very rude and just kept saying need to pay full policy. I had been with them for nearly 4 years and got treated like dirt over missed payment. stay well clear worst customer service ever

Dreadful company. They are cheap for a reason. Pay a little more and get a much better service. Away to the states on business and missed a payment. Closed down my whole policy and wanted me to pay it off in full before I took out another car insurance policy 😂 Told them where to go. Absolutely abysmal treatment after being a loyal customer for 5 years.
