Good communication regarding initial costs and installation. Engineer arrived onsite as agreed and completed installation without any issues. Very happy with present speed and quality of the broadband service. Would recommend to others considering installing satellite broadband.

The installation of the system was very straightforward and the engineer was extremely helpful and efficient. The system however has been extremely slow to date, the speed tests indicate a much faster upload and download speed than I am getting in reality. The system has now been installed for around five days so I think the settling down period I was advised about should be over, I will be seriously considering the removal of the system if things don't improve. Sat system is operating slower than the BT broadband which I was hoping to replace (BT speed less than 0.5 meg) . Very dissapointed.

Whilst I was initially impressed by the overall service and efficiency of the install, since the installation last Monday the actual bandwidth is a mere pipe dream from what I was told to expect. I have been doing ping tests in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening and am getting less than 4MB download and less than 1MB upload which is along way from the listed 20GB the product is sold on. When I asked the question of what I could actually expect before I comitted I was told an average of 10MB, oh I wish that was the case. All in all very disappointing and it hasn't provided a solution that is acceptable when you look at the cost of the equipment, installation and monthly charge. As satellite is generally a last resort for some of us due to poor conventional internet connections not being available I am currently feeling a bit duped to be honest...

Don't believe anything they tell you. Occasionally decent speed but generally, during hours of 7am to 11pm it is slower than our old BT exchange ie 2mbps!!! A real shame as it should, and could be a great alternative if they shared the bandwidth properly.

Delighted with the service. Everything went very smoothly during set up and our few queries and requests for clarification were dealt with promptly and professionally, by friendly and helpful staff. We are enjoying rural broadband at last and should have switched earlier. Ben & Janet

Latency, the delay caused by signals travelling between ground-station and the satellite, was much worse than expected. Browsing was very slow. Even a pitiful BT broadband connection could load the BBC website in 4 seconds, this satellite connection took 23 seconds on average. If you could get a connection, BBC iplayer would work at lowest quality, but ITV player etc rarely worked at all. Downloads and streaming were generally very fast, as latency has less effect. If, like us, you lived out of reach of reasonable speed broadband, then you may be willing to pay the extra for these satellite connections. The service seeming slow is not the fault of the satellite provider, it is huge distances the signals have to travel. On very positive point in favour of this satellite company, is the regular update as to how much of your package limit has been consumed.

If you are looking for a rural telecoms solution Europasat provide a service that overcomes the problem of many isolated dwellings. The company offers a satellite communication package that is functionally and financially effective. Europasat quickly delivered the satellite dish, router and comms system, provided the engineers to install the equipment and offer technical support that help with any setup questions. Overall a good company with good support staff that provide a good product.

We have only had this system for five days, so its still new to us. In comparison to what we had before this network seems better than our previous supplier. All the best Graham Redhead

It is early days yet for me to leave a definitive review, but initial impressions and tests leave me to conclude that while the potential for a much higher internet access speed is there, in the equipment supplied, the impact is greatly reduced by a lack of bandwidth with these seemingly over subscribed satellites - especially at the times that I require internet access. Using the 'free' time allocated for access after midnight is also not much better as the satellites seem to be heavily congested at these times. One can only hope that these effects can be improved in the fullness of time as at the moment, during this testing period, it seems that my admittedly slow ADSL connection has some advantages over the satellite.

Prompt and speedy service/response kit arrived at the promised time and was supported through self instal. Fitting instructions varied in minor detail but not seriously.

I normally would not bother - but I am so impressed it would be rude not to! 1. I ordered my SatBB Tooway 25 kit, self install, own your own kit last Tuesday and it arrived by courier the next day!! - I received two messages and the courier came as promised. Not only did it arrive in under 24hours - we live on Exmoor and it has snowed and the kids were off school but the delivery driver said he waited till later in the day as he knew he could make it to us then and he did! Interlink+super driver 10/10 2. Install - simple - I think I could aim it better but I need some spare time. Easy 10/10. 3. Price - we use a SIP phone which seems to be working so for 49.99 its great - compared with BT value for money is way better and +2MB/S in the middle of nowhere - ACE! 4. Pros - Streaming is never going to work for us as if the connection drops its a rubbish experience but we can plan to download our films in the free off peak usage slot so it works brill. 5. Cons - I am going to use my data up a bit quick this month but we have had no internet for 6 months so it is to be expected! 6. Every person encountered was very helpful. Overall 100/100 can not say how good it is, 3 days up and running - thoroughly delighted. Thanks.

Did what they said they would do, delivered on time, installed on time and everything working. Bit unsure about the subsequent emails I get about data usage and , as usual Tariffs aren't clear and they are speaking jargon to me about FUP , so don't know what that means. Will wait til I see actual usage and then decide. There is a lot of press about download speeds so I am being cautious here and I think they could improve their service if they regularly gave updates on that particular KPI regards len

Initially expensive to buy equipment and saved £129 to install myself....not hard once you search the net...unfortunately not worth the money I paid...I was promised 20mb download speeds...I can only receive between 2-5mb max..they tell me it is normal between 5pm-11pm....why bother then.....It was sold as fast internet anywhere....Not living up to the test as I'm paying 1/6 of the price for plusnet internet who give similar downloads..unless they fix this it's not worth the effort, which won't be in my lifetime...

As you were advised during the sale, all speeds are 'up to' speeds and these can fluctuate over the month as this is a contended service. It would be worth you contacting our Technical Team, they can check that your system has been installed correctly and is working at optimum levels. Your download speed is currently just over 15Mb. Europasat provided a reliable service at acceptable speeds for several years before BT started to improve their cable Broadband service to rural areas. Both services appear roughly compatible in our rural area now - although whereas the download speed for one might be better than the other it would appear that the upload speed for the poorer download service might prove to have the preferred upload service

To date I've been wholly disappointed with the service I receive. The internet delivery has rarely performed at the advertised speed. At anything deemed "peak" times - basically, if anyone else in Europe is awake and on the network - it regularly runs at around a tenth of what I pay for. I have raised this with customer services on more than one occasion and have been appalled at the brush-off response I received. I would recommend Europsat only to my enemies, and then only if I was in a really spiteful mood.

I am in rural France. I work from home and need a sound and fast connection for my work. Things were fine at the start of my contract with Tooway 2 years ago (Nov 2012). Now however, at daytime I often have a slow connection. I know I can't expect cable speeds, but 15 minutes for a 45 MB download is not very fast, I think. AFTER 5PM, however, the Europasat connection becomes very sluggish indeed (below 1 MB/s) and during holiday seasons, it becomes a total JOKE, with download speeds simply dropping to 0.25 MB/s. Forget about watching BBC news videos after 5PM - they simply won't come to life. Save any downloads for the next day - they won't materialize in the evening anyway. I'm into my third year with Tooway/Europasat. Things weren't this bad when I started out. Capacity issue? - If so, Europasat should be able to solve the problem - their services are pricy enough if you ask me (I pay EUR 50 a month for 16 MB combined up/download (that's a little over 500 MBs a day)). Complaining doesn't help. Europasat will tell you that "There has been some congestion on the network this week due to the school holidays which may have had an effect on overall speeds" and that's the end of it. I went with Tooway, now Europasat, two years ago, because they advertised fabulous speeds. I thoroughly regret my decision. S. Cremer, France
