Took my focus RS for its annual service to Evans halshaw Bury expecting a phone call to collect. Received a phone call at 11am advising that the car was in the lifts and there now was a broken brake pipe with fluid gushing out. This was not the case when I arrived as I had driven 8 miles to bring the car and would have had no brakes ! Long story but when purchasing the car was given a 5 year manufacturer warranty which Evans halshaw now deny giving as dealer principal and salesman have left. Evans halshaw now are charging me on top of a £240 service £95 to fix the pipe that was damaged in their care. Every time my car has been in with them I have had nothing but trouble the bonnet for scratched and they have no knowledge of resolving RS problems they can only deal with standard cars. My wife has for the last 20 years purchased all her cars from them this week she switched to Land Rover I am also next week trading the RS with Porsche. They have lost loyal customers through pathetic customer service and inability to fix the vehicles they sell to you themselves . So disappointed . Going to sign off the invoice paid with dispute as tired of dealing with them and just want to cut loose now .mechanic was Simon and was backed up by service lady Karen .

After they admitted to not knoqing what was causing the problem and that they would get Citroens advice, we took the vehicle to another dealer who stated in writing that the mis matched tyre ws the problem, and that a matching tyre should have been fitted in the first place. We called Evans Halshaw with this verdict only to be told that Citroen claims we need two new tyres when we get a puncture. Who ever heard such utter nonsense? The dealer fitted the wrong tyre and now expects us to pay to fix their problem. Steer clear, it's delers like this one that mange to perpetuate the industries bd name.

Bought a car from Edinburgh branch. Within 7 weeks was back to the garage 5 times with 3 problems. Still not fixed and have had the car for 6 days after just getting it back after 7 days. The manager ( if that's what you call him) is so rude could not care less and thinks this is acceptable. Never ever buy from the mr hooper is terrible and if the manager is bad the rest are leading by example trust me there just as rude and uncaring

Enquired about a car on there site that I had seen for over a week. ( screen price stayed the same) To then see the screen price had gone up the day after I spoke with someone there. Did not get the phone call back that I was told I would. Sorry will be looking else where for my next car now.. car still for sale. Don't treat customers like this if you won't there business.

I bought a car from them for work during lockdown. The day after I started work, the coil pack went. They said they could book me in for a repair in 3 weeks even though it was only a 10 minute job! I had to get it repaired elsewhere for £265 otherwise I would have been out of work. They said they would pay that bill out of goodwill. I handed them the invoice. I never heard anything. I chased them up several times but didn't get anywhere. I had been their customer since late 2015. This is the most disgusting treatment of a client possible.

'WARNING - do not purchase a car from this dealership ( Gloucester ) , they actually advertised and sold my 21 year old daughter a car claiming it had 12000 miles on the clock ( from the trip counter ) when it actually had 39000 on the clock. When returning the car NO compensation was offered for their mistake BUT they had the audacity to charge her £150 to return the car the following day claiming she had driven over the 250 mile limit allowed to return a car. She lives nearly 200 miles from the dealership ! Oh and as she had to leave a £250 deposit to send the V5 given she had private plate they are deducting the money from this. The sales assistant Connor is so far refusing to answer emails resulting in no other option but for her to claim a refund through the small claim courts. This was a significant purchase for a young girl that has only left a bitter taste in terms of what should have been a joyful experience, shame on you Car Store !

The car (Renault Zoe) was brought in due to no heating working and blowing out cold air regardless of temperature set. It was booked in in 25th March 2020. When I arrived I was told they could not get parts so to wait until after lock down. I booked and brought it in 7th August and collected it Friday 11th August. I was told the heating had been tested and was working For the second time when the car has been booked into their centre, despite me requesting for it to be charged it was never charged. I drove home (30 minutes) with heating on and it was still blowing cold air) I rang straight away and was told to test it over the weekend. It was till blowing cold air. I complained that it had not been tested and I was told to pay for a re gas to solve the problem, (which I did) I booked it in again 26.8.2020 and the service manager said he would try and get me a courtesy car (Almost 7 weeks ago) I heard nothing about a courtesy car and no update on my car. I rang 3 weeks ago was kept on hold for 40 minutes then disconnected and then rang again to be told the Manager was getting me another Zoe and would call me back. Of course, as usual no return call. I have no idea what is happening, have no car and have no explanation of what is happening, when the car will be ready and no sign of a courtesy car .They have had my car now for around 6 weeks with no calls or explanation. I rang last week and was told they were awaiting a new part and it would be ready last week. As usual having heard nothing I rang today 25.9.20 and a very rude member of staff said they were taking the battery out and the car had been booked in for next week (7weeks since they got it) He shouted at me that they never give courtesy cars due to Covid and I pointed out his manager said he would try and get me one. This is utterly appalling. no one has even had the courtesy to ring me and explain what is happening. Disgraceful customer service and useless manager whom I asked to call me back once again did not bother.

I sold my car to Evans Halshaw at Cribs Causway last week and it was the smoothest and hassle free sale ever, this was all down to Rugilija. All throughout she was extremely professional and efficient. Rugilija‘s customer service was 100%, she is clearly knowledgeable within her job role, her explanation of everything was clear and precise, she was friendly, honest and very calm even when I was manically trying to find poof of my car services, which my husband eventually located them for me. My husband and I can’t praise Rugilija enough, she is an pure asset to Evans Halshaw. Thank you Rugilija.

Had to use Evans Halshaw for 2 year warranty service, vehicle has only done 18k miles. They rang me to say the Brake shoes had a lip on them and brake pads were 95% used, both in dangerous condition and brake fluid needs replacing at a cost of nearly £300. Luckily I have a local mechanic (X Evans Halshaw) who would do the repair it, he looked at the vehicle the same day and said no lip on brake shoes and the pads were 50-55% used. Just trying to rip me off, possibly by scaring me but with 40 years driving I knew the brakes were not faulty.

My Renault Zoe has now been booked in with them for the 3rd time. There was a problem with my heating so booked it in in April only to be told when I arrived they could not get any parts so to take it away. Booked it again 2 weeks ago and was told it needed re gassed. Charged me for the repair and I drove home. Absolutely no heating so rang them straight away. Left 5 messages that day and was told the person who knows about this is on another call and will call you back in 30 minutes (That was 1 week ago). I put in a complaint through their Resolver system which they ignored. Resolver sent them a reminder which again they ignored. So today I rang them and explained what happened Not a word of apology nor an explanation as to what happened, I could not get a courtesy car due to Coronavirus (Curious this does not stop them selling cars). This must be the worst company ever. Rude unhelpful staff, no apology or explanation as to why they did not even check the repair.

I took delivery of a 3 year old Suzuki Swift Sport from Evan's Halshaw, Bury. 2 weeks later I discovered I had a potentially dangerous, faulty, sensor tyre valve. Apparently, It had been damaged whilst E.H replaced 1 new tyre prior to selling the car. When i took the valve cap off to test the tyre pressure you could hear the air loudly 'hissing' It only stopped when I screwed the dust cap back on. I immediately took it to an independent garage who said it wasnt safe to drive. In the meantime I rang the supplier in Bury, (200 miles away) who said I ought to take it to the nearest E.H who would sort it. I drove to E.H in Bedford. Waste of time!. I arrived there at 11am. It took them till 3.30pm to inform me, the part would take 3 to 4 days to arrive. In the meantime I was to drive the car home, then drive it back again when they would fit the new part. They didnt seem bothered if the dust cap should come off in the meantime whilst I was driving. Although they couldnt guarantee the safety of it either. I took it upon myself to contact my local garage, who obtained and fitted the repair part by 5pm that same day! I completely understand if it was an insignificant or cosmetic part. But, this was a potentially dangerous faulty part of a wheel! I was extremely annoyed with E. Halshaw, I missed a days pay, petrol and great inconvenience to myself. They reimbursed the cost of the part which was £20.00 plus £15.00 towards my inconvenience. That just about covered the petrol I suppose! A letter of apology wouldnt have gone amiss from such a large company. I thought the service department and after sales team behaved appallingly especially considering I am a women. They obviously didnt care at all about the safety issue. I wouldnt have expected that kind of service or after sales service from a back street garage, let alone a supposedly reputable one.

No one was interested had an 11 o’clock appointment booked on line I had to ‘bear with’ twice asked my name and who I had booked appointment with twice . There was a chap outside who took absolutely no notice of me no eye contact nothing. I spoke with a Liam eventually who couldn’t have less interested. I have worked in retail for the last 30 years and I was always taught customer I’d king they pay my wages. I won’t go into the £200 asked for to bring the car from another site. I bought a car from this firm 5 years ago no such fee was applied then when I mentioned this to Liam all he could say well that was 5 years ago. I had asked for an on line valuation of my car which I thought was reasonable Liam took photos of my car inside and out took it to his supervisor who then valued it at £108 less than the online valuation by the time I got this information I had been there 45 minutes and was no further on . I really didn’t have the energy to question this to be honest I couldn’t wait to get out of the place I have never felt to be such a nuisance in all my life. There was no where to park I was told this was because services was rammed today no apology.I remember the same thing happening 5 years ago and being told the same bs. How this firm is still in business I have no idea they are the rudest people I have ever dealt with obviously I didn’t go ahead with my purchase when I left there was a cone blocking the route out there were two members of staff stood very close to the cone I had to get out of my car and move it I am a women in my sixties these cones are heavy the two members of staff didn’t even seem to notice which says it all really please don’t use this firm unless you don’t mind being treated as a moron and a nuisance
