“I was genuinely shocked to discover that this company literally makes guests share a bed—not just a room. This was never communicated during the booking process. I’ve traveled with various companies across different countries, and I have never encountered such an arrangement before.
After filing a complaint, I was made to wait until midnight, and they even woke the other guest up just to move her to another room. That level of disorganization and disregard for guests’ comfort is unacceptable—especially from a company that charges premium prices.
The lack of transparency and the way this situation was handled made the experience a waste of money. Sleep is essential when you’re on an active tour, and this completely disrupted mine. I expected better, and I wouldn’t recommend booking unless they start being upfront about their accommodations.”
“From arriving and being picked up by the local guide Wayan and arriving at the fantastic Arthotel Sanur, I felt instantly at home. Bali is truly a magical place whose culture, spirituality , food and people will leave you feeling grateful and with a new outlook on life. We did many activities sporting, cultural and spiritual. My favourite was the water purification ceremony. We stood in green sarongs under 12 water shoots and made a wish for good things we want to bring into our lives. A special mention is due to our guide for the two weeks Yogi Bear. He went above and beyond to check in on the group and meet everyone's needs.”
“Escapism in the Philippines was my first Flash Pack trip and it didn’t disappoint!
The communication was great when I booked and all of my questions were answered quickly. From start to finish on the trip we hardly had to lift a finger as everything was organised and done for us. Our pack leader Rupert was fantastic - so fun, kind and knowledgeable - he really looked after us and made sure we had a memorable trip. His crew along the way (special shout out to the ‘erts) were all great too.
The itinerary was packed with fun and interesting activities but still left enough time to chill or explore by yourself if you wanted to. I feel like we got to experience lots of things we wouldn’t have if we’d have done the trip by ourselves. The accommodation was excellent, the food was ridiculously good, and our lovely group made it even more enjoyable :)
I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a high-end adventure that’s the perfect mix of exciting and chilled, in a country full of lovely people and wonderful surprises!”
“As a first time Flashpacker I didn’t know what to expect on my trip to the Philippines but I absolutely loved it. The trip was made very special thanks to the exceptional pack leader Rupert! It was a perfect mix of relaxed time on the beach, snorkeling in blue lagoons and having little adventures SUPing on a river and quadbiking next to beautiful rice fields. Would definitely recommend this trip to the Philippines.”
“Went on my first trip with Flashpack and it was AMAZING! Beautiful location, the trip leader was super knowledgable, as were the local guides. I felt the hotels really gave us a good taste of the country and the daily activities were great. Each day getting better and better. Highly recommend and I will definitely travel with them again!”
“Our trip to Bali & the Gili islands was fantastic. Bali is beautiful and magical on its own but our guide (Yogi Bear) is such a wonderful person who take extra care of all of us and played such an important part in making the trip feel personal and extra special.”
“First trip with Flash Pack. Went to Belize for Thanksgiving. Couldn’t have had a better time. Our guide Luis was excellent. The people on the trip were great. The activities were super fun. We got to swim with the manatees. The accomodations were very nice. The food was good too. Luis organized a Thanksgiving meal for us as our goodbye dinner.
There were a couple early mornings scheduled. The group didn’t want to get up early the one day and Luis was able to switch things around for us. He also arranged a karaoke night for us which was a blast. The second early day was well worth it. We were the first group in the ATM caves. Way cool.”
“The trip to Chile (Santiago to Patagonia) was amazing, and our tour guide Francisco was INCREDIBLE! From our very first meeting, positivity, fun and adventure radiated through our group, with the tone set by our tour guide. I cannot remember a time I've laughed that much, so many days in a row. The itinerary allows for a wide variety of experiences, while visiting new beautiful cities and stunning landscapes. I loved everything on the trip, with the highlight for me being Puerto Varas, and the tough, but extremely rewarding hike to the 3 Towers in Patagonia.
I cannot recommend this trip enough. I fell in love with Chile. Flash Pack is incredibly lucky to have Francisco, who will lead you on an unforgettable adventure, full of memories you'll forever treasure.”
“I just returned from a 10-day trip to Vietnam with Flash Pack, and I am still beaming with joy. The itinerary was so thoughtfully planned—everything from our hotel accommodations to the INCREDIBLE food to the locals we spent time with—this experience could not be replicated by planning a trip on your own. Our pack leader Hoang Lee was patient, knowledgeable, funny, and kind. He truly cared that everyone in the group felt happy, safe, comfortable, and well fed! I learned about Vietnamese culture/history, visited breathtaking sights including Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, and the Mekong delta, and made 13 new friends from across the globe. I can’t recommend FlashPack enough…if you’re on the fence, go for it!!! It will change your life!”
“Just finished the most incredible trip of a lifetime in Bali and the Gilis with Yogi as our tour leader and words cannot describe how memorable and inspiring this holiday was. Not only did we manage to cram in some truly beautiful sights but also the most fun activities and places to eat. Yogi was quite possibly the best tour leader I’ve ever had - nothing was too much trouble and he genuinely cared and went above and beyond 24/7. The energy, positivity and his kind soul shone through every day and he was a pleasure to be around. I’ve met friends for life from this trip and we’re already organising new trips together. The bond we’ve created has been so special and a lot of that was down to Yogi. The attention to detail involved and the bespoke little extras was the cherry on top and the fact I got to swim with turtles was magical! Thank you and here’s to the next Flashpack tour xxx”
“Secret Vietnam: Ahh Flashpack! To say this trip has been life-changing feels like such an understatement. Where do I even begin?
Our Flash Pack leader, Hoang Lee, was an absolute gem—a truly incredible human being. Sweet, playful, knowledgeable, nonjudgmental, and endlessly fun, he made every moment of this adventure unforgettable. We seriously lucked out with him (and, dare I say, he got pretty lucky with us too!).
Speaking of luck, my Flash Pack crew could not have been better. Once we got to know each other, the bond became so strong that we’ve already promised a reunion—and I fully plan on holding everyone to it.
The things we did and the places we went were beyond unique, authentic, and beautiful—they were truly special. From fishing on a lagoon and eating our catches, to enjoying home-cooked meals with locals, riding vespas through bustling streets, biking through serene villages, eating incredible street food, island hopping, and train riding… every moment felt magical. I stayed in stunning hotels, cried tears of joy, and felt my heart overflow with gratitude so many times.
If you’re considering a solo trip, I can’t recommend Flash Pack enough. They create experiences that are one-of-a-kind, deeply moving, and full of incredible people. Vietnam, you’ve truly been the trip of a lifetime. 💛”
“Georgia is a country that I would never have thought of exploring if not for Flashpack because of unfamiliarity. The FP experience opened my eyes not just to a new country/ region but to how free and safe I can feel as a solo traveller. Our pack leader and driver, Levan and Nika, were exemplary. The local hosts for the lunch and wine tasting experience were so friendly and generous. My travel group mates were so inclusive and caring. FP, you have set such a high bar for my first trip with you that I probably can only expect perfection for subsequent trips! LOL! I hope you run one for the Baltics because my eyes have been opened to that region and I want to go back! Thank you!”
“Way overpriced for the services provided. We stayed at 3-star hotels for 8 nights and (1) 4-star hotel for 1 night. The group meals were horrendous and I wish I had the option to pay for decent food since I’m on vacation and don’t feel like eating like a college student again. Tours were early a nonstop! Not enough downtime. I would not do another trip with Flash Pack after the terrible experience I had on the “Mexico in Color trip during Christmas week. I was beyond disappointed since they market themselves as an upper class group tour, which it is NOT!”
“I did the “bucket list South Africa” trip in 2024 & I had a great time. It was well organized, the hotels were really nice, & I got to see the “big five” while on safari! Abseiling down tabletop mountain, as a 45-year old, was a truly memorable & exhilarating experience. I felt I had to chime in because I saw so many negative reviews on here. I found them to be a solid company, if a bit expensive (I do feel I got value for what I paid, however).”
“Do not consider Flash Pack tours as a solo traveler. Their days are strenuous, with 7 a.m. wake-ups, long bus rides, and brief visits to only one attraction daily. The food options were mainly street food tours or low-quality restaurants. We didn't explore historical centers or gain much insight into Vietnam and Cambodia. The itinerary included numerous hikes and bike rides, such as one through a condo development. They prioritize cost-cutting. Hotels were decent, but we stayed in 9 hotels over 13 days and spent only one day in major cities, missing the Royal Palace and historical centers. I was miserable and recommend avoiding Flash Pack tours for solo travelers.
Don't waste your money, I know little about Vietnam and Cambodia due to Flash Pack's poor planning.”
“Do not use this company it is a Scam!
Please read this before booking ignore at your peril! Had the misfortune of going on one these misadventures recently and it was a terrible expirance,
1) It claims to focus on fellowship and brining people together, but the tour guide does nothing to facilate this resulting in this being little more than a marketing ploy to hook you in.
2) You pay alot for not alot - of the weekend tour we only had activities booked for less than half of it the rest was 'free time' in which we had to pay to get into town (due to the hotels poor location) our food etc.
3) Aside from the ridiculous high costs for the tour we also had to pay for the following;
> Tips (totalling an extra £100)
> 2 Lunches, 1 Dinner and all drinks for any meal we went on (including water!)
> Transport
Be warned use at your Peril!!!”
“Flash Pack offers terrible service for the price they charge, which is advertised as quality. That’s supposed to be set them apart from other tour companies.
I took the Southern Italy trip with them in May. The entire tour group was extremely disappointed by the very subpar service they delivered. The trip was 5.5k, and the service delivery was probably worth no more than 1.5k. The trip can be summed up as basically a cheap bus tour for Rome down to Sorrento to Matera to Puglia. We didn’t even have water in the bus, considering 50% of the trip took place on the bus. The hotels were at extreme best 3 stars, with no amenities or very cheap rooms. The boat trips advertised was super cheap, with limited food served in paper plates and minimal water/drinks.
Do not book with them! Extremely poor quality for the price charged! You will be very disappointed.”
“I just took a trip to New Zealand through Flash Pack and it was super disappointing. The company admitted via email that they ran the trip too early and should have offered a chance to cancel but then just offered me a refund of $600 for my feedback and really my money back for not being able to snorkel with the dolphins (1 or many activities that did not happen on this trip). I paid this tour company over $6k and they couldn’t book various activities that they advertised and not to mention they didnt realize everything would be closed on Christmas so we were stuck at hotel for lunch then a picnic in the park. This is not at all what I expected when booking a holiday, especially for this high price. I will never trust this company again with my time and money. This company has grown too fast and can not keep up with their same quality of service. Such a disappointment!”
“Flashpack is an unethical company only concerned about their own revenue.
Flashpack have failed to comply with their own T&Cs and European law and UK legislation.
Flashpack have acted irresponsibly & selfishly. They are withholding refunds from trips they’ve cancelled which they are legally obligated to refund within 14 days (according to both EU law & UK legislation).
My own personal experience saw Flashpack refuse my refund for weeks, then when they finally give me a due date for my refund (30th April), when a week before it’s due I send them a reminder email they respond with generic text advising that they can no longer refund me by this date but now hope to refund me by 31st July!
I have no reason to believe that this will happen as the company have failed to do anything to give me any confidence in them.
The cofounder phoned me last week and even openly agreed with me that ‘Flashpack have not handled this well and that their customer service is terrible’.
Yet knowing how badly his company are dealing with this...
When I shared the UK legislation with Flashpack, they had the nerve to respond email me saying that ‘they will no loner reply to emails in regards to the status of my refund’
Please don’t book a trip with this company, you can’t have any trust or confidence in them.
I’ve added a photo of their T&Cs to try and give anyone reading this confidence that my experience above is genuine.”
