Fail to deliver orders placed well before Christmas, then follow up with statements like "due to the unprecedented amount of queries we’re receiving, we’ve temporarily turned off our phone lines, and are not able to monitor our social accounts" and "Please note that this mailbox is automated and unmanned" -- speaks for itself.

Whilst the product is very good, after ordering on 11th December 2020 and requesting a delivery date of 18th December 2020, I received no communication from BoroughBox despite numerous emails and communications from me requesting an update. I did receive a standard email to inform me that they were extremely busy and working 24/7 and that orders made before 13th December 2020 would be delivered by Christmas. I received a notification that my delivery was sent to the courier but then the details never appeared on the tracking. The order arrived on 5th January 2021 without any warning. I have had no communication from BoroughBox about any possible refund for the inconvenience of receiving these items so late.

Ordered by published date Received email 22/12 saying may not be able to deliver Emailed 22/12 to cancel as del was Xmas gifts to a work address - no response Checked 29/12 product out of stock reiterated cancellation sent email same day - no response WFH - yes most of are but we are making responses to customers as we realise how important communication! One gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited on confirmation of cancellation! Just had comms from yodel saying a parcel is being delivered to work address - presumably this is a delivery of out of season tat! Which was cancelled! Reminder to self after disappointing experience and lack of customer service I will take my custom elsewhere, like farmison who offered a superlative service and quality

This company is appalling. Having spent £950 in early December my orders have still not been received despite being guaranteed before Christmas. These items were specifically for Christmas and are pointless now. They are not responding to emails or phone calls and now they want me to review how 'fantastic' they are! I have asked for a refund 3 times now and still no response and still no goods have been delivered. No option on this form for 0 stars. How can I review products or services when I have received neither. Do not order from here.

Ordered 3 Hampers on the 11 Dec for arrival before 24 Dec (which was before original cutoff date for orders for Xmas). Notified that orders had been processed on 22 & 23 Dec and expect delivery by 24 Dec. Finally 1 order turned up on 31 Dec and we are STILL WAITING for the other 2 orders as of 6 Jan 2021 !!!

Delivery far far longer than promised. Plus they do not respond to emails. Email query sent on 23rd December. As of 5th January there has been no reply. DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM

Considering I placed the order on 10th December and I have not yet receive it you can imagine the review would write. I had an email on 22nd December apologising that it it would not be delivered in time for Christmas . On the 29th I was given a tracking number but Yodel have not received it yet.

Ordered a Xmas present for my brother back in November. It's 5th Jan and still nothing. My emails are being ignored. One of the worst experiences ever. Shame, I was very excited about this gift.

Dissatisfied with this company & sad to say that we won’t be using or recommending them. I wanted to support an independent company but my intentions was misplaced. We received very poor customer service as they don’t consistently reply to emails or answer the phone. extremely unreliable delivery service—am waiting almost 4 weeks on delivery of cocktail making set & box of chocolates despite paying for express delivery. Have reached out several times in an attempt to find out when delivery would be but to no avail. I placed several orders & it has been very stressful & embarrassing letting down the colleagues who were to receive their gifts. I also haven’t been able to provide any details about when they can expect it to arrive. Stick to more reputable companies who can provide a proper service; Amazon, virgin wines, m&s etc

I ordered an paid for two Christmas hampers but only one was delivered. I emailed customer services several times and never received a reply from them. I am very disappointed with the service and I would not order from them again! I am still waiting for my refund.

I ordered my crate of beers on the 11th of December for Xmas and I still have not received them. Last week you sent me an email saying they had been shipped but could still take 10-14 days, I check Yodel everyday and it says the package isn’t still with them. Now I know that ther have been some issues with shipping over Christmas but I have sent things via Royal Mail and other couriers and they have taken a bit longer but got there. It is clear to me that this is then a problem with Borough box and the way you process things. The fact that my order isn’t yet with the courier and I ordered this last year almost a month ago is disgraceful.

Although the Christmas situation in 2020 was unprecendented, it seems ineffficient, impractical and unbusiness-like to take an order on 11th Dec, promise to ship it before Christmas, then promise to ship it after Christmas, then cancel it on 4th January because of insufficient stock. Disappointing doesn't do it justice.

Really disappointed with service and product. Originally ordered as a Christmas surprise for my colleagues at work and was advised products would be delivered within 3 -5 workings day. When the presents did not arrive within the time-frame I contacted the company twice for an update and received an automatic response. I then called the company a week later and was advised they would be sent out soon. When the product did arrive 3 weeks later, it hadn't even been packaged nicely. Just a small bottle of fizz and chocolate shoved into a huge box. The person I spoke to on the phone was very polite but did not apologise, acknowledge that the gifts were over 3 weeks later and didn't provide any further updates on when we would receive them. We specifically chose a local company however going forward we will not be using again.

I rarely post a negative reviews I know how important they are to companies. However my experience with BoroughBox has been extremely poor and very frustrating. All the items ordered arrived late, several arrived damaged and one has not arrived at all. I contacted the BoroughBox support team twice before Christmas however received no response to my emails other than an automated acknowledgement of receipt. BoroughBox's business model is to source their products from multiple suppliers. This is fine providing the customer experience is owned by BoroughBox however this is simply not the case. I called today to chase up on the lack of response to my email enquiries to receive an automated message advising me to click on some links in the original order confirmation email (placed 4 weeks ago) which then emails their supplier directly. This just adds to what has been a dreadful customer experience. I bought from BoroughBox and expect BoroughBox to resolve the issues not hand it over to their supplier base. My issues are still not resolved. Sadly, I cannot recommend BoroughBox and won't be using them again.

Not received my items nearly a month after ordering. Received a shipment notification three weeks ago, yet tracking information says not yet collected. No response to emails and only an answerphone message on their telephone number.
