Well, where to start? Semi-aggressive emails from BoroughBox around delayed delivery. Two emails - one from ParcelForce and one form Yodel - both of which still claim they have not received the shipment yet. And indeed I still do not have the goods in hand. I have no idea when or even if I will receive what I have ordered. I have not contacted you because your emails asked me to be patient and effectively NOT contact you! I 100% appreciate that times are unusual and stressful. And I understand that there are delays. But this is not the way to continue to run a business where you want repeat orders.

Amazed to have been asked to write a review. Ordered 2 weeks before Xmas, it’s now NYE and haven’t received it. They’ve not answered any of my emails. The courier asked them to clarify my address when it had one number wrong in the postcode and they told them to send it to a completely different county. I was never consulted. Awful. Maybe I’ll get my order, maybe not. Let’s see!

When I ordered I was promised a delivery for the 21st December for a 90yr old’s birthday present. The parcel arrived on 31st but to the wrong address and has still not been delivered to the 90yr old who is housebound. Emailed several days ago and no response. I definitely would not recommend or use this company again. Expensive and appalling service.

I ordered an item on the 8/12/20 assuming it would arrive for christmas, unfortunately it did not arrive until the 31/12/20. Yodel didn't receive the item until after Christmas and it was delivered on the 30/12/20.. item cost over£40, emailed boroughbox 4 times now, still no reply. Looked at reviews on trust pilot., all customers with the same sort of problem . I haven't signed for the item and I do not want it,waiting for contact and refund.Typical fraudulent behaviour by boroughbox, allowing me to order knowing full well it wouldn't be delivered for xmas. I will never deal with this company again and watch this space!!!!!

Ordered on 10th Dec only delivered yesterday the 29th! Your website offers no help/replies to queries, standard response is that you are busy! This is not a customer problem, I was left with a very disappointed daughter and family and could not offer any meaningful explanation as to why parcel was late and where it actually was. I wanted to cancel the order but there was no option to do this. So the whole process of doing something lovely for my family after an horrendous year was a complete let down!! R Levinson

Despite ordering December 7th, none of the gifts for my family have arrived a week on. I emailed on 4 occasions asking for information and was completely ignored, no notification that deliveries would be delayed, no response to repeated requests for information for several weeks. Just non-existent customer care. I was finally offered 100 points on my account as an apology which was laughable - as if I would ever use this company again. Unable to deliver what they promise customers, and then when everything inevitably goes wrong they shut down phone lines and social media, and completely ignore emails. Funny how happy they were to take my money immediately despite not fulfilling orders. Absolutely shambolic. Find a viable and customer focused independent business to support: this is not one. And to suppliers: I would look elsewhere to retail your goods lest your own products be tarnished by this company’s incompetence.

Website looks good so ordered on 10th Dec, although received mass email message advising of delays in delivery, completely missed xmas, as of today 31st Dec still not received and emailed twice to cancel without reply. Seems there is no contactable customer service at all. Very disappointed.

Good quality produce, but delivery clearly an issue throughout December. 1 order arrived on time. 1 arrived (after much chasing) on Christmas Eve having ordered 9th Dec. 1 order arrived 30th Dec despite also ordering 9th Dec. Poor communication, lack of updates, and clearly disappointing. I won’t be using again.

We left 2 phone messages before we placed the order that weren't responded to. We placed the order on 7 Dec and it arrived on 31 Dec. It was a Christmas present and we emailed and rang to find out if the parcel would arrive before Christmas and didn't receive any response other than a generic email. The contact we have had from the company has been non-existent and we wouldn't recommend anyone use the company. Covid is no excuse as other companies have delivered on time and kept in contact.

Placed order for delivery to be made on 22-12-20. Not delivered on time. No correspondence to provide update, no telephone number to call. Poor customer service. 🤷🏻‍♂️

An absolute disgrace when it comes to communications and customer care. I waited 20 days to get my order and didn’t hear anything from them apart from automated emails when I sent them one first. If they are busy enough with orders then they need to invest more in customer care. The box itself looks fine now it has arrived but I shall never use them again.

purchased an ultimate craft beer experience box as a secret Santa for delivery to the recipient before Christmas Day. The website had a disclaimer saying they were busy but any order before said date was guaranteed for delivery before Christmas Day. No delivery Christmas Day. Much embarrassment. Got email Day follow apologising saying delivery would be made on 29th. Now NY eve still no delivery and no communication. Would not use this company again and would certainly not recommend it to others. Over promises. Chases sales but the result is it under delivers for the customer.

Unfortunately I don’t have the order, parcelforce confirmed they would deliver on Christmas Eve and nothing had turned up, on new year! I even ordered a number of weeks before xmas! Have emailed the support team twice but no replies. Otherwise I’ve had good experiences with borough box, but definitely not this time!

We understood that there may be delays caused by the coronavirus (not Christmas though as that comes around every year!) and that people may not get their gifts until after Christmas Day. However what has led to this poor review is the lack of communication from Borough Box. We placed 5 orders and had an email that said one of the orders would be delayed until the 29th December (despite the fact that we ordered just before their announced 'Xmas deadline' of the 13th December). No other orders were mentioned in that email and the 29th December went by without any deliveries. And there has been no other communication and no reply to emails sent to them - and now it's December 31st. We hope deliveries will be made but we're beginning to wonder. Borough Box: It really doesn't take long to send an email.

I ordered a borough box for a vegan relative on 9th December with GUARANTEED delivery for Christmas. Despite repeated attempts to get in touch with Borough box, no one responded to one of my emails - like they won’t to this. I then repeatedly tried to cancel my order and no one responded to my emails. The item finally arrived on 30th December despite me asking from before Xmas for the item to be cancelled. Christmas is over - the relative long gone and I am stuck with a vegan gift box when I am a full on carnivore. Appalling non service and I know I will get zero response from borough box! Despite this - the products look great!

Terrible contact and order fulfilment. Couldn’t get in touch with them to find my order after it disappeared and didn’t arrive in time for Christmas as promised - clearly took way too many orders and didn’t bother letting anyone know the truth of the situation. Very disappointing and won’t use again.
