The disappointment with part of my order was unreal, the lack of voluntary communication relating to the reality once order placed and also the length of time to wait when an email was sent was too long. As a gift which needed to be received before sending on and the length of time for dispatching was inadequate. Placing an order 8th Dec and balance order was only received 21st Dec caused an uplift in the budget to send via royal mail to reach recipient before Christmas. I would like to say part of the order for Natural energy drink Sku 1158-10768 was shipped on 9th Dec. Great service. Email I sent on the 12th Dec was not replied to until 16th without details, as no shipping details for Yodel provided. Shipping details only provided by the 20th December and I needed to post all present days before to beat postal service rush or back log plus increase in costs to post. Bearing in mind peak period, I still believe the length of time for delivery to be received was way too long. An unrelated order placed, I received the delivery from Germany for large bulky items within 7 days with tracking.

Gift ordered on 6th December for specific delivery on the 18th - our sons wedding anniversary. Finally delivered today - 5 days late. According to Yodel parcel was left at the local depot fro several days before being shipped in to Yodel for delivery. Not the best service

My "hamper" was gifted to me - good job! If I had been forced to pay nearly £40 for this including delivery I would have been bitterly disappointed. Not worth the money, sorry!

Really delayed delivery. Paid for express delivery and item took 2 weeks to even be dispatched. Lovely product itself, just needs the company not to sell more than they can fulfil!

My order with Black Mountains Smokery was placed on Dec 4th through you with very specific instructions to deliver it after December 15th This was totally overlooked and delivery was made the week before.Looking forward to receiving my repayment from BoroughBox as per Black Mountains apologetic email to me.

I appreciate the business is very busy at the moment but to make an order on the 7th of December and still not have it arrive 3 weeks later is a bit much. Was ordered early in time for Christmas. Still no delivery... 23rd December

Very disappointed. Ordered a Christmas present weeks before Christmas. Boroughbox shouldn’t have accepted my order if they couldn’t deliver in time. No warning from them, just disappointed friend who couldn’t understand why his present hadn’t arrived got in touch with me, when nothing arrived. Now they say they can’t do anything till after 4th Jan.

I bought vegan the borough box for my husband. I was very disappointed when reading one of the ingredients of one of the gifts that it contained milk. I would have expected that anything marketed as vegan would all be vegan. I also think it is very expensive for what you actually get. I won’t be buying it again

Trying to order two sets of your Prosecco Cocktails has proved one of the most frustrating experiences of my 86 years! I found it impossible to contact by phone, couldn't figure out how to place an email order - your system was only accepting orders for ONE set (or 175!). Finally I received an acknowlegement from Mr Ugoletti, who ofered to help, but then I found he was living in Italy ( would you believe?). Fortunately, I was put in touch with Lisa Nakkan, who was really helpful, and explained the Prosecco Cocktails were supplied by World of Zing (Nick).She speedily arranged payment - but despite her best efforts and several emails, I am still waiting and was last promised the Cocktails would be here today. However, I tried twice to check the tracking details and was not entirely surprised to find the code number was not correct on either occasion. I shall not be using BoroughBox or World of Zing again - life is too short.

My order was dispatched and arrived quickly and was packaged well. However 2 of the items I purchased - spice kits - while being marketed for totally different occasions - a bbq one and a curry night one - on arrival turned out to be exactly the same so completely unsuitable to give to the same person which was my intention. I have since been trying to contact Borough Box to discuss options but am unable to get through by phone and my emails are not being answered, hence the low score. I realise I probably should have read the description better and also the kits aren't made by Borough Box but feel the descriptions are misleading.

I made an order online to be deliver ed to a friend as a birthday present. Website looks good and easy to browse through. However my order was delivered a week later than expected which was very disappointing considering it was a birthday gift. I found it very difficult to communicate with costumer service, when you try calling they ask you to email or leave a message and when I emailed it took a long time for people to get back to me. Overall it was a bad experience. Even though my friend liked the gift and products were of good quality, I would not buy again due to the service being unreliable.

Ordered on the 27th November and the recipient hasn’t received parcel. Tomorrow is the 9th of December . Will be requesting a refund if not there by the 11th which is fourteen days.

A very disappointing let down. I used the preselect delivery date to get a gift for a 40th birthday delivered on the day given lockdown meant not being able to meet in person. The product didn't arrive on the day. Having sent a complaint, I was told that the delivery times had increased after my order and this had not been taken into account to get it there on the date by Boroughbox. It eventually arrived 2 days later, but wasn't much of a surprise given I had had to check if it had arrived. It was appreciated but the experience was a let down and I wouldn't buy again. I have added a second star as they offered to refund the delivery cost having not delivered as requested.

I brought an 24 day Gin advent calendar expecting my wife to get 24 small bottle of gin to find out this is not the case. To find nuts tonic water and Juniper berries and we’re only on day 8. £125 is a complete rip off

I tried calling and emailing to change my delivery address, and I did not hear back from you. I received an despatch email today to let me know that the order is being delivered to the original address (not the new one). Also, I have asked numerous times for a VAT receipt and still have not heard anything.

Website a bit fussy, overlap between categories etc. Also I got a total of around 8 separate packages/boxes from my single order - very disappointing from an environmental perspective. Items should be collated centrally and sent in one package. Also makes the offering seem more like a luxury hamper service which is what it’s name suggests and what I thought it would be.

The product I ordered has not been delivered. Due to what I can only presume to be Chrome autopopulate issue, the delivery address had the billing postcode on it, and the product has been delivered to neither. There are some posh brownies floating around in the lost, and a friend without a birthday treats.
