Avoid at all costs! I placed an order and had been told that it would be delivered within 3 - 5 business days. I had no dispatch notification after 5 business days so I tried to contact the company. There was no response to my emails or to my voicemail, so I posted something on their Instagram page and someone finally responded to me on DM and they deleted my comment from their Instagram post so no one else would see it. They claimed to have never received my emails and asked me to get in touch directly with the supplier who apparently ran out of stock of the item I ordered. The supplier emailed me to tell me that they were "struggling" due to the large amount of Christmas orders. So basically, they're ill-equipped for sending gifts at the time of year when people need to order gifts most.

I have not been informed of the product has been shipped already. this was supposed to me a Christmas gift.

I ordered a hamper on 13th of December and readinng through delivery it said 3-5 days and therefore I expected it to be delivered before Christmas, the hamper was delivered on the 2nd of January! I had an email in response to my query saying any orders after the 13th of December would be unlikely to be delivered before Christmas that was on 28th of December. I emailed several times and left contact numbers so someone could ring me and update me. I understand that lockdown caused problems but some sort of update on a delivery date would have been nice! on a positive note the recipients are pleased with the contents and the box.

It is impossible to write a review on the quality of the merchandise from BoroughBox as I ordered over 3 weeks ago and there is still absolutely no sign of the package. I would say that customer service and communication are pretty poor though.

I tried very hard to support the independent sector this year but I'm afraid that in the case of Borough Box, the results were very disappointing. I spent a considerable sum on gifts for family and friends early in December and nearly all were so late as to be pointless. I'm told the gifts were very nice, but nobody wants a hamper of unexpected food turning up on Christmas Eve when they've already done all their shopping, and they certainly don't want boxes of luxury chocolate arriving in January. One of my gifts still hasn't arrived and will almost certainly not be welcomed when it does. I'm sad to say I won't be using Borough Box again.

Sadly the lovely chocolates were a present and not for me, although I'm told they were very good. The delivery came in plenty of time for Christmas day and was well packaged.

The product I bought was great. Unfortunately it got broken in transit which meant a replacement had to be sent out, and the replacement didn't arrive in time for Christmas.

Hamper sent to my goddaughter and family. They said it was beautifully packaged and are looking forward to eating and drinking the contents. Communication was good, and the hamper arrived in time for Christmas day. I will use you again in the future and recommend you to all my friends.

Bought as a gift for my daughter who takes a “boring” Packed lunch to school. (Grown up...a teacher)!, When she saw all the different items in the box it was a real pleasure to see. She prefers savoury and this box was just perfect. So many new varieties. Will definitely be buying more boxes for her. Thank you so much.

I received this today from support at boroughbox - can you believe it... We’d love to get some feedback on your order. In particular we’d love to know: - What was your experience like with the seller on our marketplace? - What was the contact like that you had with us? (the BoroughBox team) - How did your product taste/look? (Or if it was a gift - what did the recipient think of it?) We’re so grateful for any feedback we receive. It helps us understand how our sellers are doing, and most importantly, it means we can improve BoroughBox to give you an even better customer experience. I'd ordered two boxes in mid December - Dec 13th, nothing has been delivered - that's 22 days later! The total ignorance of the set up to not monitor, manage, facilitate indivdual bookings is wholly horrific. They are total amatuers. I'd tried to ring and email from 30th Dec on numerous occassions, they offer no comms at all. What do you think my answers would be to these questions above!! NOTE - THESE GIFTS HAVE STILL NOT ARRIVED SO THE QUESTIONS BELOW HAVE NO PURPOSE!

Ordered herbs & spices which arrived promptly at a very busy time of year. Well packaged and as description. Can't tell the quality as it was a gift but it looked like a good product.

I ordered four boxes before the Christmas cut off date. Only one has arrived, more than three weeks after the order and over a week past Christmas. I have had limited communication from BoroughBox and have been left very embarrassed by their service. I will never use this provider again, despite the fact they are supporting local businesses. Terrible.
