My complaint goes back to circa February 2021 I ordered an £800 bed ( excluding mattress) the deliver period was some 4months . Bed arrived in May it took x2 delivery men 2 hrs to bring in & fit , to which I gave them a hefty tip . A few months later July I called to advise there was an issue with the bed . It this ok until October for the inspector from Hime Serve to appear & advise that our bed had been put together incorrectly! In fact the underside ( it’s an king size ottoman bed ) was completely fitted upside down & was now not fit for purpose. We were told it would take two Men four hours to dismantle & refit. Fast forward - Jan 22 having not heard anything I was told on calling that the case has been CLOSED! ! Albeit I hadn’t chased FV as we had a serious house flood & moved from our property , so had another more pressing agenda. So we started again - the whole process of arguing the toss with FV . Finally I had an agreement to have a replacement delivered . Guess what , didn’t happen - a no show . IAt one point I was told to call the ware house regarding a delivery & I was told that it was the legs that were being replaced !!! I was directed to the manufacturer who advised they didn’t supply legs they came from elsewhere ! It was farcical left hand didn’t know what right hand was doing . Again I had to argue with FV who advised it had been delivered. Again I had to go through many departments when phoning . Finally I emailed the CEO which was responded to by a Resolutions team . By this time I was also pushing for compensation. What a laugh £50 !!! Or they could refund me but would need to collect the bed first . During all of this time luckily we weren’t even using the bed as we’re still out of or property. This continued all thorough 2022 . When once more I was promised a replacement . The day the replacement was due from FV the van arrived with replacement- however one of the fitters decided that they could just replace the sides & bottom of bed . Due I imagine to the length of time it would take for them to dismantle & refit . . I was far from pleased with this in fact I was fuming that after all this time & the issues along the way a fitter was making the decision . Albeit, job done . More emails to CEO It was more like sending emails to a fence post . No apologies same as when the new bed didn’t arrive previously. The compensation that I had argued to be raised from £50 to £100 was not going to be increased any further in fact that was very clearly & rudely pointed out ! Finally this month I received the paltry compensation & have no good words to say about FV .

Furniture village Guildford does not offer good customer service. As a customer I feel that I am in the wrong. Disappointing that they don't want customer feedback, just want your money. Don't be conned by their pictures of cats/dogs to make you buy!

Furniture arrived 2 months overdue and with a broken leg, fixed it ourselves due to not trusting them, customer service not interested. 4 STAR RATING ON TRUSTPILOT something fishy about that, you have been warned buy at your peril

Avoid this furniture village by all means possible. Sofo displays in the shops are not same sofo quality you get when delivered. They deliver very poor quality. They don't even have complaint procedure in place, I was told by the customer service person. How come is company is allowed to operate without having complaint procedure in place. Unbelievable.

I recommend that you NEVER buy any furniture from the shop as you have more rights when buying on line. Due to family problems I had to reorder a dining room table (smaller version) and had to pay a 25% cancellation fee. Had I ordered on line I could have cancelled my order at anytime (doesn't make sense does it). Also the Manager in the Romford branch is very rude and even reprimands his colleagues in front of customers!!

Appalling company. Sold me a firm bed when I specifically asked for a medium in the shop. I then complained when I got the incredibly firm bed and the company could not care less. They say the bed is medium firm but their own website states it is firm. So they have told me to lump it as they have no intention of changing it. If I had bought this bed online, I would be protected. They are just going to kill off their shops by treating customers who shop in the stores with contempt. I strongly suggest you buy elsewhere. Or if you really want a bed from this store, that you buy it online as you have a LOT more protection.

Poor poor poor.....on second recliner sofas after first ones arrived literally in peices. Replacements arrived clearly unstable....customer services responded to concerns.....however female spoke to me today to arrange a technician visit had the audacity to tell me that the issues we are having are due to sofas seats being electric recliners!!!!!! Beyond livid, she is not an authorised technician.

BUYERS BEWARE Bought a Nicoletti leather electric recliner suite ( £5000 ) from the Southampton store, when it arrived one of the electric transformers were missing. Waited one month to get it, also found out that the USB system on the suite did not work and still doesn’t, the porcelain gliders which were fitted at an extra cost are still unable to allow me to move the chairs. Furniture Village sent out their independent inspectors( CASTELAN ) to review my complaints, the agent verbally agreed the furniture was not satisfactory and would write a report to FV. I have waited one year and still have not received a copy of this report, I have requested this on numerous occasions and was promised I would get it. I was sympathetic that the Store Manager ( Chris ) was extremely ill and due to this fact allowed the lack of response to drag on and on, recently found out that Chris had a brain tumour removed, his replacement store manager ( Garth ) stated that although Chris was seriously ill he should have dealt with the issue as he was still being paid during his illness. FV are now telling me that despite contacting Castelan they are unable to retrieve the original report. So I have a suite that was possibly manufactured badly. Furniture Village in my opinion is the worst company I have ever dealt with and seriously regret doing business with them.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I placed an order back in December for a high value item and so to ensure I made the correct decision I went in store to seek the advice from a sales advisor. I showed the sales advisor how I wanted the item to look in my home and they drew a diagram of how this would look, I therefore placed the order based upon their recommendation. At no point did the sales advisor advise that the item would look differently in my home when delivered. When the item was delivered it was quite clear that it did not match how I had shown the sales advisor and so I tried to make a complaint and have the item simply swapped. Upon contacting the store I received a rude, unhelpful and argumentative response from the store manager. I was offered a swap of the item at a further cost to me of over £100 which I considered unacceptable given the amount I had already spent in store. In light of the above, I raised the issue further with the CEO and once again was met with a rude and unhelpful response. I note other reviews with similar experiences when dealing with customer care. After this experience I would never use this company again and would urge others to reconsider purchasing from here also.

I had to have 2 replacement items - a 2 and a 3 seater. The original delivery had 2 problems in that the arm had come away from the 3 seater and and the 2 seater frame was broken. An external engineer confirmed the faults. The replacement had the foot rests catching on the power settee and an almighty 'thump' on it being lowered. The 2 seater frame was again broken. Again, an external engineer confirmed the faults. Reluctantly, I re-ordered and the latest furniture seems ok so far.... I am concerned buy the leather creasing on another review as I have this issue on the second set after only a few weeks. The delivery guys said this was a common fault and theer was not enough foam in the cushions ! To pay £5k for a 3 piece suite is not cheap and I expect high quality. Concerningly, for the delivery people to say this shows how common a problem this is. So, 3 separate deliveries at my time, faults galore. Not even a gesture of goodwill ! Come on FV, show your worth.....

Horrible experience with this street stall type of company, which has no values, no trust, and no control. if you want to be safe don't ever try to buy anything from this so-called furniture scam company. Placed an order during the black Friday sale, for a dining table, 3 chairs, a bench, and a sideboard. supposed to get these items by 15th Dec 2022. After selling me the item they sold to someone else, did not even bother to contact me, when contacted "we sold the item we don't have now", and contacted the CEO's office, got a reply in December that this issue would be resolved and then received a call from the High Wycombe Store that they will fulfill the order by 15th Jan. on 26th of Jan 2023 received a call from the delivery department, but shocked to know, they without my knowledge changed my order, items deleted from the order, tried to sort the issue but their company culture is so bad that don't care...... if you value your time and money, and don't want stress buy somewhere else, AVOID!

Nothing but problems! My mum spent almost £3500 on leather sofas… arrived and delivery man said they wouldn’t fit through the door (WITHOUT EVEN TRYING) . Then she was charged another £480 for them to “dismantle the sofa and rebuild inside her house “. After just a few weeks of use… sofa is sagging inwards and made a loud bang when my frail (7st) mum sat on it. Once again, called out technician… who toook off a panel underneath sofa and after 5 mins looking with a smsll camera inside, said everything is fine!!! Absolutely disgusting service and terrible quality products! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Make sure everything is written on paper, don't rely on the information from the salesperson or email. I was told by the sales person that the sofas I bought will be delivered in 10 days, It wasn't and when I checked, they said it will need an extra 3 weeks more before it is delivered Misleading information, and very bad experience

Buyer beware!! Furniture Village will sell you faulty products which risk you and family’s safety. I purchased an ottoman bed in 2018, and one of the piston brackets sheared. Luckily no-one was underneath at the time. Warranty is for 10 years, but Furniture Village say pistons are only 2. They must be aware that the pistons do not have long life spans. They refuse to replace the faulty product. Please be careful with their ottoman beds!
