AVOID AVOID AVOID 0 STARS 0 starts, the company has no customer care what so ever. After being sold by the rep in buying these firm solid recliners and spending lots of money, after just 4 months you would think we have had them 4 years, the sponge has lost its padding and is like sitting in a bucket and does my back no good getting up. They send a guy out who clearly said (TO US) there was an issue with the larger foam seat pad and that there had been movement, but according to furniture village the report came back fine... we even have photo evidence..... after sending further emails and asking for a copy of this report they are now not responding, awful company. Avoid at all costs.... View yourself on tiktok just search parkiv86 and you will see it....

Perfect sales pitch, awful after care. We have a manufacturing fault with a bed which Furniture Village have agreed with however the shop dont want to help with a like for like replacement and customer services are aggressive and are equally as unhelpful. Please dont waste your money with them, they are a nightmare.

Furniture Village is not a great shop according to my experience, I place and order on 29 December2021 the guys on the shop said to me maxi 5 weeks delivery bed and mattress, after 5 week the guy started change the world he was said to me on top of that I wait for another 6 weeks plus previews 5 nothing , I request my £500 deposit but there said no refund or we charge you to refund I said ok charge me and refund the balance , but up to now no one respond , no refund, as you read my letter is the second letter I send to this guy name on the letter but he also don't care about my query. so the letter is just to put on review so anyone can read I don't have money to take a solicitor, but that my money continue to be used for the interest. ELVIS NGATOM To the Supplier Furniture Village 150, Kingston Road, New Malden, Surrey, KT3 3 RD MY ORDER REF 03454231: 382629938 Dear Sir, Madam I come by the presence of this letter you signify my dissatisfaction. On December 29, 2021 I came to your store selling chairs and beds, after several thoughts I decided to take a king size bed so you would find a copy of the contract. that day the person who received me was called Ross from customer service, so I chose my bed with mattress and I made a deposit of £500 and he confirmed to me that the delivery time was five weeks maximum, being confident of what he told me so I left, so a week before the fifth week I call to be sure that I will have my delivery at the end of the beginning of the first week of February, but at my great surprise I receive a call from a lady named Jayne so I could be wrong. she tells me that they can deliver the bed to me without a mattress and that I should choose another day for the delivery of the mattress and there I said no it is not possible and that when I ordered mr Ross had me says we deliver both at the same time, in the meantime I find a little time and I go to the shop the time to have more information and this mr Ross reassures me that I will be delivered soon and I ask for a delay he does not answer no, so I'm going home. in the meantime I made several calls to the number 03301655575 to find out what level my order was at and each time nothing reassuring was said to me. one day I receive a call from the guilford store that I will be delivered on Friday February 18, 2022 being in joy I contact a charity to give them my old bed and they came to collect it on February 17, 2022 at 11 a.m. but to my great surprise that same day I received a call from the guilford store and it was a man who spoke to me and said sorry we can't deliver to you tomorrow and the reason was that he still didn't have a mattress, knowing that I took off this day of February 18 to wait for my delivery, what a loss on my part. I call the shop to find out why all this trauma has led me astray and this day it's still mr Ross who speaks at the end of the line and reassures me that on Friday February 25 I will be delivered with all the guarantees, so I still take a day off which is this February 25 so he said, to my surprise I have no delivery and know that in the meantime I sleep on the floor since I had given my old bed to charity. so I went to the store to ask for my deposit to be refunded and that I no longer wanted this bed and that it had already traumatized me too much and that I lost two days of work to wait for a bed, it said that we can't reimburse me and in an arrogant tone he tells me this you have to wait for your bed and he will come and deliver you. I therefore left in a rage and I called Hitachi personal finance at the number 03443755500 to express my dissatisfaction to them and that I want to cancel my application and the refund of my money and the lady with whom I spoke told me that she will send an email and to cancel. and this happened on March 3, 2022. on March 10, I received an email saying this: good new your bed and mattress would be delivered on March 11, 2022 between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm. I immediately called to say that I no longer wanted this bed since you had traumatized me with it and that I had already called for reimbursement, that day the gentleman with whom I am speaking said gently that we do not can no longer reimburse me or else he will charge me for the cancellation fees and I said yes do and reimburse me the difference, but as of today I have still not received anything. the question that I ask you is to know about the contract you say after 14 days the customer can no longer cancel the order, but why after five weeks delivery time so you do not respect the customer is not entitled? So for me it's just abuse. the only thing I ask of you is to refund my deposit, since after five weeks you had not delivered to me and I waited another six weeks which makes a total of 11 weeks just to deliver a simple bed and mattress, so cut the cancellation fee and refund my remaining money. I ALREADY APOLOGIZE FOR THE LENGTH OF MY LETTER AND THE GRAMMAR ERRORS GIVEN THAT MY FIRST LANGUAGE IS FRENCH. Thank you for your time and consideration and hope you would look at my complaint. the sofa was delivered with a ripe in the bottom and i was told thats normal for crumbs to fall out!!After sales is rubbish. i bought a sofa and just a few months later the cushions are flat and it looks old. i logged a call and rang but 4 months later still nothing in fact i have had to order a new sofa from else where as this isn't comfy at all and with not help cant wait to get rid of the sofa to the tip and steer clear of Furniture Village.

Paid over 2k for Holly Sofa, terrible quality. sinks to an inch so uncomfortable. Furniture Village will not compensate Please see attached photo,

We bought 2 sofas in aug 2021. They were delivered in dec and within 2 weeks we discovered the side had come away from the bottom of the seating. They send home serve to inspect it after I sent pictures to them. Home serve said the damage was at the manufacturers and a replacement was ordered. Since then we have had no contact from them in 5 months. Many phone calls and emails later I sent an email quoting ‘the consumer credit act 1974’ and they sent an immediate response. They have promised a refund and to collect the sofas we now no longer want. I will let you know if that actually happens! Please don’t buy from them!!!

If I could I would leave no stars! My experience has been awful. We ordered a bed and mattress only to discover the mattress was full of mould. Despite numerous calls and emails to furniture village and going to the Watford store I have had no success in being heard and having the appropriate after care. It is really disappointing that this company does not look after its customers. I would not recommend this store.

I brought table and chair bench set, the bench was damaged leg broke. It's been a nightmare to contact them they have eventually picked it up last week but still not been contacted about having my money refunded, I would not recommend any one to buy from them.

Damaged my property during delivery and won’t return my emails or calls and they keep passing me around and everyone seems to say they have emailed the managers responsible and they should be in touch with you within 72 hours but no one gets back to you…

The main function of a dining table is a hygenic surface to eat from. The table I bought has been deemed fit for purpose despite fact it cannot be wiped clean, as they used rustic in the description. Rustic means according to furniture village uneven, pitted, planed with a blunt edge and not subject to their guarantee! Not impressed!

I purchased a sideboard the middle of March for £699. It arrived very damaged, so I requested a refund. This request was lost and I was unable to exchange or refund. The email and photo evidence were then found and the process for a refund was started. However the warehouse are impossible to contact to arrange collection, FV could not get through either and they do not respond to emails or voicemails. I still am no further forward 7 weeks later. John Lewis offer very similar and offer a far better customer service. I must give a shout out to Terry on the phone lines, very professional and loyal to this company. I will never order from this company again!

Terrible customer service! We’ve not had one phone call or email in the 6 months after we’d ordered furniture. Where is our order? Taking peoples money with lies when what you really need to say is, there is no time frame on delivery you could be waiting over half a year, your company needs to take a long hard look at themselves. Appalled that a family company can do this to thee families! Shame on you!

Ordered 2 x bar stools online 12/01/22 with a lead time of 7 weeks. 8 weeks later March 2022, 1 x random bar chair seat, 1 x dining chair legs + a random metal bar were delivered. Customer services contacted, random items delivered were collected, £100 good will payment offered with a promise of delivery of the x 2 bar stools within 2 weeks. £100 good will payment not received and had to be chased. Bar stools not received within the 2 weeks as promised. 24/04/2022, email to advised bar stools would be delivered on 25/04/2022. 25/04/2022 - telephone call informing stools could not be delivered because x 1 was badly damaged and x 1 was not the correct bar stool. 26/04/2022 - full refund promised for total cost after waiting 15 weeks for these items (not delivered). 29/04/2022 - refund received minus the £100 good will gesture). Basically FV kept our money for 15 weeks and gave us nothing in relation to the poor customer service, time and frustrations for multiple coms due to their failings. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

i bought a komodo settee and chair in leather after 11 months the settee started to peel underneath the so called protection they spray it with they classed this as wear and tear i have no pets or kids only 3 adults live in my house so please do not buy your furniture here go else where

Yet another story as the earlier ones. If you buy anything from this company and something goes wrong, then good luck. Don’t answer phones, you always strangely seem to be number 26 in the queue, and I’ve tried several times over the weeks. The only way to get any sort of service is to take to them to the Small Claims Court, pay the fee (mine £80) and then 5 days before you have to inform the court to proceed, you get a phone call. Then when you think things are at last happening the phone calls stop and you’re back to square one. Never never again will I buy anything from this company, if you do, then good luck!

We bought two settees. One arrived with no feet and damage to the structure. We have made numerous phone calls and been passed from pillar to post. They will not replace without it being examined, despite being within 14 days of delivery. I just wish I had seen the companies reviews before wasting money. The problem persists. I hope it can be resolved before we have to follow a legal solution.

Made a significant £2k+ purchase of a dining room table and chairs. Just coming up to a year old and the metal base has rust on it. Took pictures and sent them to their customer service. Response was this is an environmental issue and not covered by warranty. We are being asked to get an independent furniture assessor to write a report. Not sure how you can have an environmental issue in a central heated dining room?? The metal chairs have not rusted. As we purchased on finance we will be progressing with the Finance Company if they wish us to continue paying for it. Then small claims court. I would advise you to consider carefully before purchasing from this company.
