AVOID AVOID AVOID - Absolutely horrible insurance to deal with had an accident back in February which was deemed as a fault accident on my multi car policy which wasn't the case fought with them for months for them to change it as I was paying for two insurances when I only had 1 car tried to cancel the policy which they refused to do multiple times saying I was due the full premium which is nonsense as its a non fault claim after 20 plus phone calls they finally agreed to the non fault case and agreed to cancel the policy still waiting written confirmation of this would never go back with admiral AVOID at all costs there insurance tripled when I had this accident when other insurances were half the price

Disgusting company, I was hit from behind while waiting at traffic lights, in February 2020 and I’m still fighting my case now in summer of 2021 The other driver was also insurance with these guys, how can it be 50/50 when I was stopped at traffic lights! Even had him on video admitting fault. Still fighting the case to this day! we agreed I wasn’t at fault and agreed a pay out, signed all the paper work thought it was over! Now these idiots have changed they minds and want to lower the offer! How can these idiots continue to run a company like this and get away with it. All the reviews below are all 1 stars, if there was a no star option I would definitely take it.

Admiral refused to accept my claim for theft after my laptop was physically stolen out of my hands and it is covered under my contents insurance. The case handler was dismissive and made zero attempt to resolve the claim. Poor from start to end and left me now, without a laptop, unable to claim and disappointed in Admiral

Will never get insurance from these guys again! In order to keep the discounts I got, i had to set up in my car Admiral Plug and Drive Unit which is tracking how i drive for 6 months they say, there was nothing said about that in initial advertising, I feel it's against my data protection policy! Now if I cancel this plug I'll be fined £500 and the monthly payment will go double up. Highly disappointed with their policy. Thinking how i can cancel and change this insurance provider. Stay away from them !!!

STAY WELL CLEAR. I informed Admiral I was cancelling my monthly payments of £30 as I had scrapped my car in July 2020 and no longer required insurance. They proceeded to try and steal 3 further monthly payments from my bank and now have a debt collection agency chasing me for 3 monthly payments I had cancelled. Don't become a victim of these law breakers, they are not interested in helping customers, they just want to steal your money!! STAY AWAY!!

They have been excellent in the past what has gone wrong! Waiting call times are shocking and website access is very poor.

Poor attitude towards people moving home - profiteering off a captive audience by charging unfair cancellation fees.

I got vehicle insurance with Admiral. I had accident that wasn't my fault. The 3rd party insurance contact me about the claim before Admiral and offered repair and hire car. 5 days now, my car still not repair and no hire car... That is it and this will be last time I will buy insurance from Admiral.

House insurance renewal policy fee upped by 20% from last year with no claims or changes. Only way to cancel auto-renewal is to phone and wait time is 30 minutes. Terrible terrible service

I pay a lot of money for my admiral policy. When I did claim for an accident that I was not at fault ( not even in the car for) for I found their entire claims system very hard to use. I was told several times people would not talk to me on the phone and I should use the online service despite me telling them that there was no online option for what I needed. When I did get through I was out on hold for over 15 minutes at a time several times. They then tried to write my car off without assessing it and told me ‘they didn’t know the procedure for what to do otherwise’. I was then eventually told they would take it to a garage and that my excess would not be payable and that I would not have my no claims bonus affected. 3 hours after the car had been picked up they phoned me to arrange pick up and then claimed to have no idea where the car had been taken. I was then not contacted for over a week until I eventually called them when i was told it had been deemed a total loss the week before but no one had bothered to call me. I was then told at that point they would deduct my excess from the value of the car and refused to give me any aid in claiming my excess back from the other company. Overall I have found their service completley incompetent and unacceptable, I will not be renewing with them and would not recommend them to anyone.

I am very unhappy with admiral. If I can give negative stars, I will. A customer buying a car insurance to looking for an insurance to help them when there have unexpected incident happen. But instead they gave you so much problems. My car had a small incident which only need cosmetics fixes in the front part of the car, but their approval garage is charging so high (literally double of what my garage will charge) that my car is considered being written off. When I told admiral I will want to get a second estimation from my own garage. They replied my car is now no longer fit to drive (which is very interesting because their recommended garage DROVE my car from my house to their garage, at least 30 mins drive), only few days later, after being inspected by their garage, my car is now no longer fit to drive. So I will have to pay to arrange a pick up. If my car cannot drive on the road, the only way is to send pictures to my own garage to get estimate. My question now is if my garage can provide estimation by just using pictures, why admiral approval garage need to take my car away and causing me so much problem just to get my car back? Other insurance company would send out engineer to look at the car and give estimates, so customer can easily get a second estimation if they have to. But admiral is happy if customer have to pay extra (much extras) to get their car back from garage. There is something really wrong with admiral's policy. Providing admiral insurance is not cheap, there are much better insurance companies out there and provide better services. I myself would not go with admiral again!!

Received a email less than 2 weeks ago stating we owed them £420 even though the car insurance premium was paid in full for the year. Then just a matter of days later got informed by my bank they made several attempts to go in and take the money without my consent. I contacted them and because I previously contacted a insurance company regarding a query and it’s noted in my records as a no claim notification. Admiral basically still regard that as making a claim and because I didn’t originally declare this on taking the policy they decide all of a sudden they can charge me an extra £420 on top of my premium. NO CLAIM WAS MADE! SOOO after speaking to them they informed me they wouldn’t attempt to take the money for the next 7 days until they looked into things. Low and behold on the 6th day Icheck my bank and £420 has been taken. It was eventually refunded 3 days later but it shouldn’t have happened at all! After which they informed me they will unbelievably try again in another 7 days time to take the money. I’ve had to speak to my lawyers and make Right Of Access Requests so we can gather all the information and decide on how to deal with this. The girl Tracey who I’ve dealt with has been excellent but as a whole the company is poor. I’ve never had any previous issues with car insurance companies in nearly 20 years of driving!

I was a few days late with my pandemic, during a global pandemic - still paid within the month... and they put a default on my credit score that will last for SIX YEARS. Technically I didn't even default as I was still within the payment window. Avoid Admiral like the plague. Horrible company.

This is not a company that you can trust. I was their customer and when i got point on my driving license they rejected to insure me again. This is not right when you are in trouble and you need help, they just say sorry and leave.

Really awful customer service. When my car insurance was going to renew, I spoke with a telephone advisor to get several different quotes (I wanted to compare how much my insurance would cost with/without black box, when I change address, If I changed jobs, IF I changed my annual miles etc). The guy I spoke to was nice, he assured me nothing would change until i had confirmed any of the above, but my policy did change. My details were changed without my knowledge and as a result my insurance went up by £100! I called back to complain and a different advisor couldn't help me. She didn't understand what had happened and couldn't answer any of my questions (questions that the previous advisor could). She made me answer hundred of questions then gave me the same quote after an hour. Was a total waste of time. So I decided to leave Admiral and go elsewhere - I found MUCH cheaper insurance with someone else with ALL of the benefits that Admiral were offering WITHOUT a box. What makes it worse is Admiral have never got in touch to tell me when they will remove the box. They don't insure me anymore. They tried calling me ONCE and I couldn't take the call so they never called again. OH. and the had the audacity to write me letters asking why I had cancelled my direct debit to them even though they didn't insure me any more and my account was 100% paid! It's been a horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Poor customer service They have been investigating my claim for over 7 months all now they can't honor my claim. Honestly I would never recommend them. They have failed me and my family. They are only to happy for you to pay for the policy but the moment you need it they move like snails
