We were recently impacted in connection with the Crowdstrike Global IT issue. The out of pocket that we paid in comparison with what Allianz approved, did not cover our hotel cost and/or our flight home and other costs. I have sent many emails. In addition I have made tons of calls without results. I feel that Allianz is a fraud!

COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY They will ask for ridiculous documentation before considering coverage. Definitely NOT worth buying.

Got my medical claim refused by Allianze with an irresponsible reason. I bought a travel insurance before my trip from them. And unfortunately I had a very bad stomach ache on my second / 3rd day of my arrival to the place I traveled to, went to see a doctor, and was sent to the hospital for an emergency surgery for removing my gallbladder from my body as it was full of gallstones inside. After all the stress of attempting to contact the emergency hotline service (Irish hotline) several of times while I was suffering from the pain and stress before and after the surgery, failed to reach people from Irish side, instead I found someone replying my email who is from the UK side, and he asked me to give him a call for sorting out things. (I told him, this is the difference between the Irish and the British in customer service wise) …. After being discharged from the hospital, mingling of providing the same supporting documents for so many times (between April until July). They ended up to refuse my claim as they think that it’s a prior case which I planned to have the treatment there before my trip, which is not true and this is not fair to me with such a wrong judgment! This is what they think but not the truth. It was an unexpected incident being arranged to have a surgery abroad. And customer like me have to accept their wrong judgment. People told me it’s a waste of money to buy a travel insurance. I thought it would only happen on some small or doggy companies. I can’t believe that it also happened on what we so called a worldwide corporate company. I paid for nothing but stress and anxiety and anger! The service is absolutely rubbish!!!! Insane service, I’m so disappointed with this well known worldwide company, ripping off money from their customers. It twisted the meaning of buying an insurance which can protect you! No protection at all! Only frustration!

terrible company.. cancelled my car insurance ... cant make contact with no one .. app never ever and mean ever ... works .. you send emails and no response, I am still waiting for them to reply to ab email i sent in FEb 2024 .. DO NOT INSURE YOUR CAR WITH THESE

Would go zero if could. Had travel insurance that I tried to use over a 48 hour baggage delay on my return flight from Mexico. They sent what they called a summary of benefits out a week or so prior to my flight that I referenced when submitting my claim. There were two options for submission one with receipts and one without. The benefit for without was $100 and I was fine with that because it would have covered the toiletries I had to buy and my frustration with the event. They later rejected the claim asking for receipts and explained that the non receipt option only applied to departing, not return flights. When I presented the reality that this distinction was not on the communication I received and sent them a picture, they acknowledged that it wasn't but said it was listed in the original contract that I received months before my flight. I explained that this was not fair and asked for the benefit or a refund of this worthless product. They gave me neither.

Transferring your money from Allianz is nearly impossible. They drop the ball over and over . I have been waiting to transfer my money for over 6 months ans still is not done. I also tried to remove or change my agent due to divorce and cannot do that ! My now ex husband still has access to information on my account. There doesn't seem to be any privacy or HIPPA being used.I will never recommend them for any reason!!!

If I could rate my experience lower than one star, I would. Our experience with this insurance company was extremely disappointing. We had a medical emergency involving an elderly person for whom we had purchased the highest level of insurance. Despite the severity of the situation, he was instructed by their 'medical experts'—who only assessed him over the phone—to travel home as soon as they could get him out of the country. This plane journey posed a serious risk to his health. Over the past nine months, we have faced numerous challenges with the company's customer service. We never had a consistent point of contact and could not locate any case manager. After all this time, we were issued a reimbursement of $900 for a claim that exceeded $30,000, without any explanation of how this amount was determined. Attempts to seek clarification through emails went unanswered, and all phone calls were directed to a call center where communication was often difficult. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and stressful, far more so than the medical emergency itself. I cannot recommend this insurance company based on our experience. Proceed with extreme caution if considering their services.

i had purchased concert tickets and they canceled the show and Allianz did not want to process my money and thats a mess because thats what the insurance is for. i will never use them again.

This company have taken 2 lots of car insurance deposits out of my account totalling £220 and then when I log in it’s says I have no policy with them! No number online to call to sort it out??? What kind of scam is this? I need my money back!

Shady company. They will charge the coverage dates so it doesn't match the travel dates. Provides zero help. Avoid the company.

My partner suffers from mental illness so I insured his flight fare. His psychiatrist told him not to fly due to anxiety issues. Agent said it is no refund because of paragraph 18 (fine print). Sad, because I insure all my travels with Allianz; no more. Try Berkshire Hathway. Buyer beware!

I had to return home on an emergency flight to get to my daughter who was on a ventilator in hospital . She had GCS score of three, Which basically states she’s in a coma , with head injury and there was a possibility of her dying.. I had to book the nearest flight home to be with her, my friend and I traveled back together, praying we would get to her in time regardless the situation,We had to get flights. We only had two days of a seven day holiday ,Taxis , Trains And planes total £1250... My friend was reimbursed the very next day all her funds were put into the bank by her Travel insurance company which was the Tsb Bank . Mine the Halifax who use Allianz Have questioned quibbled and now told me that I’m not entitled to anything due to my daughter ingesting alcohol ( for the 1st time big mistake) .. I think it’s absolutely disgusting that this company treats its clients like they do when you go on holiday you need to check the information as in the small print it states about alcohol, Do we not go on holiday and have alcohol ? Id like a response from you on here Allianz ….. Not happy I am taking my trade elsewhere and I’m possibly going to the ombudsman. My daughter was in the UK. I was in Cyprus.thank goodness she is ok now , What else was I supposed to do? I gave you all the medical forms all the paperwork you asked me to get in touch with my travel company, You wasted my time and other businesses time as we all did what you asked us to do and then you let us down….your nothing but con artists, we have been paying you and Insurance for the past eight years might I state ….

They took advantage of me, tricking me into thinking I was making money while all they were doing was robbing me. You will be duped by this website, so please avoid it. Within a few days of reporting the problem to "AlexcryptoFX @ writeme dt COM" I received my money back in addition to my profit. He’s an expert.

I needed to change my flight to a different date. Because I changed my flight, my airline did not charge me. Because the airline did not charge me, Allianz representative said that Travel Insurance for one flight would cost over $100.

I was travelling in Japan and my son got sick and I decided to get in contact with the insurance for a doctor After 6 days the insurance reply my emails. Terrible customer service and horrible service. I give you -1 stars

Lost my passport in lyon, france while on holiday with my family. My family went on home while i had to stay in farance, pay for an emergency passport application, travel to paris and 4 night of hotel while i waited for the embassy interview and finally a "next seat avaialble" eurostar ticket at like 2x the usual price. Allianz denied my claim because i didnt report the loss of the passport at the police station closest to where we stayed, and instead went to the airport with my family and reported it there. No sympathy, no common sense, no acceptance that i was acting under pressure and stress, and totally screwed because of some very specific fine print you're somehow meant to remember when youre over 7 days into a holiday and in a high-stress situation. I've used their travel insurance for over 15 years, and never made a previous claim. If you need travel insurance, find someone more reliable. Allianz doesn't care about its customers anmd will cheat you on a technicality.
