Just down right criminal, insurance inst worth the paper its written on genuine claim refused as they have the opinion in its historical damage, that was after the other dozen or so reasons they and their so called experts at BVS (who aren't even qualified!) Had been rubbished. Taking them to the ombusdman, not holding my breath though!

My home & contents insurance are with AXA and have been for years. I'd never made a claim until my mobile phone was stolen out of my hand 22 days ago on the street. I immediately reported the theft to the police, my mobile network and AXA. From that point on it was a disaster. AXA insisted on having a phone call with me to progress the claim - even though it was my *phone* that has been stolen. When I finally got a replacement SIM and a borrowed phone to ring them with, I assumed it would be smooth sailing. I was wrong. Apparently having the crime reference number and IMEI weren't enough. If the mobile carrier doesn't block the phone, then AXA won't speak to you and won't progress the claim. Except my phone wasn't from the carrier and they won't block it without a letter that I don't have. It's been 22 days going in circles and has become very clear that AXA's process is designed to make it difficult to complete a claim. Now that they've decided I made a complaint (which I hadn't), they've even given themselves 40 days to reply. Still no phone. It's insane. Go elsewhere for trustworthy service. Or, really, service at all.

Terrible service and call time! Was rudely told that the claims department have a waiting time of up to 2 hours if I was happy to hold on. Absolutely useless

Thieves, complete thieves. I was charged the full amount for cancelling a car hire policy through a third party. They allowed me to cancel, but kept all the money. Therefore making 100% profit without providing any service. An honestly ran company would warn customers before letting them cancel that they would not get their money back! What is the point of having the facility to cancel if you are losing the entire payment? You may as well let the policy stand. Smug and arrogant customer service staff, they almost sound happy to have caught you out with their small print and swindled you of your money. Do not use.

Had an accident. Not my fault. Tried to call several times. Waited on hold, once for over an hour. I had to give up. Other times I was just cut off. Car still damaged and still not spoken to axa. Don't know how they can provide roadside assistance etc when you can't get through??

Case 2035459 I'm only writing this in the hope someone at axa will reply to my emails. A car reversed into my parked car, I have the footage on ccTV, and 7 weeks later they still haven't allocated blame. Infuriating.

AXA were cheap especially with Top Cashback. That's where the positives end. My car was stolen but it took 2 weeks for an initial call to the claims assessor who they sub contract out. Vehicle was subsequently recovered but then another 2 weeks to assessor damage. During this time they have managed to lose the spare which I sent to them and also marked my car as sold to DVLA even though it is being repaired. Some if the staff who work there are clearly helpful and knowledgeable. As with most of these big companies, turnover is high and morale is low and it often shows in the call response times and quality of service

If there were (minus) stars I would award them (-5) Hands down the worst insurance I've ever experienced as an expat in London. Their terms may be clear cut however try finding a doctor that accepts them. Don't be fooled by the search yourself list provided on the website. Make sure you call the doctor and verify the charges covered, if any. Good luck! Bupa here I come!

I will not be using AXA when I renew my car insurance later in the year. Someone hit my car on a aroundabout. Had a dash-cam showing what happened. Cut and dry. AXA put it as 50/50 and charged me my excess. I have sent emails with no reply's. Spent hours on hold trying to talk to someone. They will give you a good price on your insurance but hope you have have to put in a claim.

Awful company that hires incompetent staff and dodgy surveyor who are not qualified. I have been subjected to a barrage of accusations for claiming for a loss of water claim that has damaged a joist and flooring. They have made up a story of how it is my fault due to an old repair on the shower tray. Well as no leak was present and the tray was repaired by the previous owner over 5 years ago and I had a surveyor our to aprise the home and he was very thorough (gave me alot of tops to increase the value of my home and something to get fixed that I hadnt noticed) he spotted nothing. But no in AXA eyes and their lying surveyor BVS it's my fault??? Even when I have been open and honest about it all.

Exceptionally cheap versus my previous insurance. Impressed by the clarity in purchasing the policy and receiving the information afterwards.

Following a water leak in our bungalow AXA sent their own contractors to repair our property. The job lasted 11 months. Unfortunately, 4 months later we had bubbled paintwork and warped floor boards so we informed AXA. This is now one year later and we are still waiting for another contractor to be approved to put our property right. We have had the “pleasure” of numerous contractors, surveyors and loss adjusters visiting our home, promises galore that work will be starting shortly and like a lot of other reviewers say, we’ve had to listen to a lot of lies (mainly from the loss adjustor). Whilst the people I’ve spoken to in AXA customer service have been sympathetic and apologetic I feel they too easily believe what the loss adjuster tells them. If they spoke to other people like contractors etc they might be more understanding of our frustrations. After all my policy is”like for like” and it was expensive. I’d like my life back please AXA!

No service at all. I'm two weeks trying to register, I'm unable to. No-one answer my emails, the service is customer support is the worst I've ever seen. If you have an urgent problem you may die because of them.

I'm 100% satisfied with Axa Insurance. I have been a client for several years (I have insured my home and my vehicle). Good price, good quality, a company with a good name in which I can trust. The good price offered by Axa allowed me to make gifts to my baby and wife. Thank you Axa.
