Very easy to create a travel policy with them. BUT when I needed to claim because I missed my plane they were not helpful for me to pursue my claim for compensation. Its only a small claim but they make it SO DIFFICULT and long winded with lots of obstacles that most people will give up the fight! BEWARE that many insurers are backed by this company (including M&S insurance), so check each policy small print first. DONT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

Very disappointed with axa put in a claim on Oct after sm1 went into back of me and my car was due to go in April to get fixed. For Such a big company they are so slow and very unhelpful wld never recommend them.

The worst service ever !! Still awaiting payment of a claim that has been accepted 3 months after the initial claim. Incompetent, unhelpful, lack of accountability.

Possibly the worst customer service ever, the claim was 10th January 20017, so far nothing has happened at all,there was a couple of hysterical; calls from them to confirm there was no injuries at all, then nothing ! I have been on the phone 20 minutes and still could not get through, do not insure with these people !

Very bad experience. a guy from this company called me being very rude and almost shouting saying that my claim will be rejected because I have unrelated damages to my car and he accused me that I am a liar (different expressions)

Part of Swiftcover group worst after sale company ever ,they never answer the phone last time I tried I gave up after 80 minutes

Involved in an accident one afternoon last week which wasn't my fault - spent 2 hours trying to report it during working hours. Eventually it was answered by an out of hours company who took all the details and said I would be called on Monday morning. No call came on Monday or Tuesday morning. Called back and spent another 30 mins on hold. Eventually someone answered, asked me to confirm date of accident and then put me on hold for another 15 mins. Upon answering that call the person refused to talk to me as I was the named driver not policy holder. I put them on hold to get the policy holder and returned to find they had hung up! Another 20 min wait to get through again and finally a helpful man took my details. In the meantime Hastings Direct had contacted me 3 times to intervene as the other party had admitted liability. Called them and it was answered immediately and they were helpful. Let's hope the repair through them proceeds as smoothly - Won't be using AXA again.

Absolutely awful insurance company. I was in a collision with one of their policy holders in december 2016. I have spent the past 2 weeks being placed on hold and passed around different teams and nobody could help me. My insurance company have contacted them several times and still nothing off them. I spent 2 and a half hours on hold and still didn't get to speak to an actual person. Absolutely disgusting customer service, I pray that nobody's vehicle is hit by someone whom is with these as they still haven't even contacted the man who drove into the back of my vehicle, 4 months on.

AXA needs to revise their strategy, it seems to be upside down! I have been with the insurance company for almost a year but i will not be renewing to the 2nd year. Why would I want to go from paying £155 to £289 per month when I did not even claim? Meaning that, what AXA is rewarding me for being a careful driver is pretty much double what I was paying? I feel offended that they are still sending me reminder emails.

I used them to insure my household move from Dubai to Europe (NL), filed a claim when my car was damaged (they walked on the hood!) and repainted. They accepted the claim, but its been 5 weeks since they told me to get the claim paid out. Always the same feedback : "we'll ask our accounts department". They never follow up and I have to contact them again. Do not use them, you will get needless frustration and stress from this company. Also the moving company ISS WW movers who happily sell you this insurance are useless in resolving the insurance part. By the feedback they give, I can see they deal with it regularly and routine based feedback. Be wary to use either of these companies.

Just a jock. Got NCD for 3 years, this year 4 years. No accident or anything els, from 100 pounds monthly go up to 135.44. WTF. This how rip the people off. Put price up to find new insurance company that you not get claims (hope you understand). Every year is same shit💩. I will cancel my 3 car insurance, home insurance and business insurances. And will talk to my parents as well to find other insurances company. If you want get AXA insurances think twice. Call them and have look how is customer service (not helping at all) look review on net ( not that good) unfortunately I have look after got insurance. We have hope big company, good service but is flop.😡😡😡😡😡

Notified them of an accident where another person rear ended my vehicle, they logged it as a non fault claim, my insurance renewal has gone up! AXA didn't even make a phone call regarding the event. Spent 2 hrs on phone to have it changed to notification and after being assured its changed, it still isn't. Why after the third parties insurers dealt with claim start to finish ahs my insurance gone up? Why after holding and being transferred all morning, and assured the correct notification was put on system, its not! Renewal is cheaper if I start a new quotation with AXA by £130!!!!! Pathetic customer service 4 Policies with AXA, been here many years and this is the reward for customer loyalty.

I would not recommend this company to any one Not only takes over 2 hours to speak to a adviser Emails never reply No help at all Very inexperienced staff Only thing I would tell axa policy holders CheCk your wording I am fully comp And it covers nothing This is the worst company ever I have been left heartbroken No car , loss of earning ,

Had an Accident on Fri 13 Jan by a hit and run - so unable to get any details. It took 8 days to get through on the phone. I was ringing daily at different times. I was kept on hold for a minimum of 30 mins to an hour before being cut off each time. When I finally got through they offered a paltry £50 compensation - which I then had to chase them for it! The car was fixed quickly - with no issues. So now I'm being held to ransom on my renewal because they are refusing to close the case as there is no-one to claim against. This is the worst car Insurance company I have had to deal with in nearly 30 years. They seriously let you down when you need to make a claim then they try and penalise you for it. AVOID

This company is obviously a scam. No one can contact you, your claims department is non existent, and no employee in your company (if there are any) ever have any intention of responding to clients. Do NOT choose insurance cover with this company. i have reported you to the appropriate bodies. Have fun dealing with the aftermath of your shit storm. also planning a class action suite if anyone has had similar issues and wishes to get involved PM me.

Dreadful company! Staff completely inefficient and incapable of solving problems. Insured 12th December 2016, had a call whilst on my way to the airport saying price had increased. Accepted the increase as I couldn't do anything else at such short notice. Yesterday I got a text message saying they wouldn't accept my no claims bonus even though it had been sent in December. Re-sent. Wouldn't accept that and wanted verbal confirmation from other insurance company as 2 months had lapsed. I used to be an insurance broker and I have to say they are the most incompetent, inefficient company I have ever come across. Completely avoid this company!!

Do not bother unless you never plan on claiming which can happen to anyone. I was hit by someone else on a roundabout from behind. I did the normal thing of reporting it immediately....well I planned to, I was put on hold for hours eventually the only way I could get through was via making a complaints department. It was obviously the opposite parties fault although the opposite party desputed it although had admitted fault at the time of the incident. To get my car repaired I was expected to pay the god awful high excess and told it was unlikely I would get it back even if it was found to not be my fault. Eventually I got some sense out of someone to begin with and seemed helpful, now I cannot get through to them. 4 months later still no progress car still damaged after ignored emails, and unable to get through via telephone, lesson learnt don't take out the cheapest premium just to be "legal". Once my insurance expires I will certainly not be going back. Absolutely awful customer service, so I am left with a damaged car which I will have to pay to get repaired privately, ridiculous.
