“Been with the company for a quite a few years and have always found them really helpful, unfortunately we have found that customers service is becoming laxed and our last quote from them was over £800 for fire and theft cover, when I changed my vehicle. They didn't seem bothered to lose our custom. Clearly, our money is not good enough.”

“A man went head first into the back of my stationary car completing smashing the rear view window and denting the rear of my car. The police arrived. The police were amazing and phoned the insurance for me I would never been able to cope. The insurers were not Budjet but a cover for coop and all calls had to be made over and over again by both budget and coop it was a complete and utter nightmare at a time that was not needed. The police were patient and wonderful. I think we were on the phone for about Two hours. Never again !”

“Despite being an existing customer, when I came to renew the quote for buildings and contents insurance was £28.43 per month, however, a further quote dated THRE DAYS LATER showed that the new premium would be £41.12 per month, an annual increase of £135.59 or a whopping 68%!!! Very unfair and extremely misleading practice.!! As a 74 year old living on a state pension , I cannot afford the cancellation fee Be aware!!”

“i have been driving for 30 years with full no claims bonus and clean driving licence but when i went to change my policy over to a new car they told me i couldnt do that. they said i would have to cancell my policy at a cost of £75 and take out a new policy to which they quoted an extraordinary price to which i have never heard before in my life needless to say i cancelled at an exspense of £75 to myself and went elsewhere so no i definately would not recommend budget insurance company to anyone.”

“People beware, if you pay the first 2 instalments by card authorisation, if you want a direct debit set up make sure you ask for one. My card expired during my insurance period. I thought the payments would just keep coming off. A card authorisation is not the same as a direct debit. I was charged the princely sum of 25 quid for the letter they sent me saying the bank would not authorise the payment as the long number on my card had changed. I will definately be more aware of the process.”
